Just lost the only thing I care about in this world. And this song immediately came to mind. Now I sit here balling like an infant at 43 years old wondering how I made it all these years without knowing the true depths of grief , pain and suffering.
And how long I can keep living in such agony.
Poor Eddie man, almost a year later and I can still remember how the whole chat was like "SKIP SKIP SKIP" during his performance. I know many people didn't like the game but that was absolutely disrespectful.
Mostly young, incelistic bumpkins who will never be fathers and don't understand that revenge isn't a satisfying outlet. They wouldn't understand a tragic literary story if William Shakespeare bit their head off clicker-style.
Lyrics
If I ever were to lose you
I'd surely lose myself
Everything I have found dear
I've not found by myself
Try and sometimes you'll succeed
To make this man of me
All my stolen missing parts
I've no need for anymore
I believe
And I believe 'cause I can see
Our future days
Days of you and me
Back when I was feeling broken
I focused on a prayer
You came deep as any ocean
Did something out there hear?
All the complexities and games
No one wins, but somehow, they're still played
All the missing crooked hearts
They may die, but in us they live on
I believe
And I believe 'cause I can see
Our future days
Days of you and me
When hurricanes and cyclones raged
When wind turned dirt to dust
When floods they came or tides they raised
Ever closer became us
All the promises at sundown
I've meant them like the rest
All the demons used to come 'round
I'm grateful now they've left
So persistent in my ways
Hey angel, I am here to stay
No resistance, no alarms
Please, this is just too good to be gone
I believe
And I believe 'cause I can see
Our future days
Days of you and me
You and me
Days of you and me
Geoff - "Hey Troy, can you go out and introduce Eddie Vedder for us? Simple and to the point."
Troy - "In 1987 a Peruvian merchant brought forward four spirit crystals that forever changed my life. These organic, handcrafted spirit gems forever manipulated the psyche of those who encountered them. And while I can never truly touch upon the indelible impact these had on me, I'd like to think that their spirit resonated within me on the set of The Last of Us 2. As a method actor I frequen..oh, speaking of spirit, here is Eddie Vedder."
"First I was born... I cried... Some man in a white coat smacked me... I cried more... Then my mother held me and sang me a song to calm me down...
Here's Eddie Vedder to silence all the babies in the chat."
Lol😂 thats good but its nothing compared to how long Christopher Judges' game award speech was
Neil singing future days to his daughter 😭
All the people saying "Skip" was just people with no life, or probably dumb people.
Eddie did a great performance, I love this song, tho I dont like the game, I like Pearl Jam and Eddie's songs.
Same
PJ is great however it has better songs than this one .. 4 example Black
Loved the game and love this.
@@seblevi3320 don’t forget gods dice and given to fly

I can't believe Eddie was on the game awards.. I freaked out when it was said.

Literally just finished Grounded mode and cried when this songs came up in the credits 🤓🤩
My favourite serie has now a song from my favourite band... It can´t be better...
Best part of the event
The beauty of the song comes from Joel's nervous, sometimes shaky, and yet incredibly sincere, voice.
I loved this song for a long long time
Argh , i love this so much... idc if the last of us is "bad" , i just wanna aprecciate this beautiful song , and this beautiful eddie♡
How did I miss this?! So good. Just like the game. Yeah I said it.
No Eddie, thank you for giving us such amazing lyrics and melody. We are to thank you. You are a legend.
His voice man 😍😍😍😍
On a side note- Troy is such an amazing speaker. This dude need to do audiobooks.
What a fantastic game. Legends all of them. Still nearly brings tears to my eyes.
Makes me cry every time 😊
I loved the game so much set in my home city with one of my favorite bands and some of my favorite people playing some great characters.
Having a song of my favourite Band suddenly appear in TLOU2 still feels like a fever dream.
Wow... I had no idea the singing and Ellie's interest in space were from the actor's own interests
Eddie Vedder rocks. Glad he's still with us. Still haven't played TLOU2.
Playing the game had me thinking about it for months.
Play it
Alot of people hate the game but I'd really recommend it.
didnt know about the singer and astronaut part.. love it.
Thank you for this piece of music
This game inspired me to pick up a guitar. This was the first song I learned. Hits me hard.
That's so awesome to hear. Good on you, man!
Eddie Vedder é foda, uma lenda viva
Here from the s2 trailer!
Eddie is a PC gamer, look how much RGB behind him!!
KKKKKKK AH NÃO (hahahhaha oh nooooo)
It's sad to read about how disrespectful was the chat back then, Eddie is a legend and the game is amazing. Luckily most of the toxicity has been diluted over time and the discourse around the game has changed a lot, the narrative about it splitting the fanbase in half was bullshit, it's just that the most toxic pieces of shit are always the loudest.
