Such a powerful & detailed game. Regardless of how you feel about the continuation of its online mode, you have to respect Rockstar for how much they pour into a project.
I always have tears in my eyes because of this performance, especially when I don't watch it for a long time. @@18rickster18 the first game managed to really have a grip on people because of how sudden John's death was after he finally managed to be "free" and spend quality time with his family which added more to the tragedy of it. Arthur's story on the other hand, was a slow and tiring road but it was one that you felt that you had to push on for the people around you so when it finally ended, and everyone else is happy, we as the player are left with this empty feeling of satisfaction that we've done our worst, tried our best and finally it was time for us to rest.
What’s the point of your statement? It’s like getting attached to a best friend or a family member. You can always relate to something Arthur is going through. He’s a great character. His transformation throughout the game was touching, and his feelings were shared with the player.
I was in the same situation like you when I finished the game. I can stop my tears comin' out. Was the best game I've ever played in my entire life. He has everything

@@jamesgordon9825 right?? I remember pulling an all nighter to finish it, my parents were asleep so i had to keep my damn sniffles all quiet, my dog was there to comfort me too
SPOILERS - They didn’t play “That’s the way it is” because they want people to experience that perfect moment in the game when Arthur puts his hat on, after saying bye to Abigail and Sadie and the song starts playing and you just know it’s his last ride and can’t help but think about the last 60-100 hours in Arthur’s shoes and the choices you made and you even think about your own life.. It was a good choice even though that’s my favourite song.
MrTShbib I related to Arthur a lot. I felt so heartbroken that my mind numbed my emotions so I couldn’t feel the pain. I felt the numbing but I fought it. Arthur Morgan, a part in my heart.
i like the sad version more its way more intriguing to hear all the sad things and how he regrets it and one last time he does the right thing helping john
Am I the only one who couldn’t relate much with “that’s the way it is”? I was expecting so much for Arthur’s last song and it ended up being a 4 chords cliche
With TLOU getting their show on HBO, and the fervor surround Yellowstone and it’s spin offs, I really wish we would have been blessed with a Red Dead HBO show.
Red Dead Redemption didn't take the goty, but in my heart it's the best game of the centuries. I feel like the characters are real. Impossible not to cry. Great job Rockstar!
I really connected with Arthur. I laughed i cried during his Journey. When he went, he left a hole. Same kind of emptiness ive felt loosing friends and family. For me, Arthur was real, my feller and partner in crime, through good and bad. I really miss Arthur. How R* made us feel that we lost a friend is amazing .. I salute you Arthur, Rest in Peace.
one of my favorite tiny details of the entire game is that once Arthur is dead the music at the intro/press play screen is gone. during his story some ambient theme would always play and you'd hear sound that fit the nature scene that was displayed, but in the epilogue - silence... like there's an empty hole in the game that can't be filled.
It’s funny, I remember when the game was first announced and that’d it be a prequel to the first game where you play as a character that isn’t in the first game or mentioned When I heard that I went “well Arthur is going to die, why do I even want this game now?” Of course I was mostly kidding because I was obviously going to get it. But damn, my friends best it before me and went “be ready it’s sad” so I was like “yup he dies” but holy shit, part of me is super sad and hate it and wish Arthur could’ve gotten a good ending, but the other part is happy that at least Arthur died peacefully, looking at the sun, knowing he helped John and his family get to safety (although we know that goes to shit really quick)

Such a powerful & detailed game. Regardless of how you feel about the continuation of its online mode, you have to respect Rockstar for how much they pour into a project.
I always have tears in my eyes because of this performance, especially when I don't watch it for a long time. Tears because of the joy that there are such people who created all this and created the Red Dead Redemption series, and tears because of the feeling of the RDR atmosphere. I love all the people, who made such a masterpiece! You have added a miracle to my life and the lives of others, thank you!
Cowboys don’t die they ride off to the sunset
"I'm not going there to die, I'm going there to find out if I'm really alive."
In Arthur's case is the sunrise
To bad he's not a cowboy he's an outlaw
Plus cowboy is offensive its cowpeople haha joking ,
Adoring Fan Nah they die
Is that what your parents told you when you got home from school one day and your cowboy wasn't there
Songs played in this video:
"See the fire in your eyes"
"Cruel, cruel world"
"unshaken"
Missed the chance to play the best song, That's The Way It Is.

Sophisticated Dinosaur I think the audience would be in tears if they did that. It’s an amazing son!

Just finished RDR2
and now i can say RDR2 should've won that year... This game is a masterpiece and work of art
To those lots who have never played RDR2
Play it, take your time and see for yourself on what an amazing game you've missed out on as well
God of war: I'm game of the year
Red Dead Redemption 2: And I'm game of the millennium

Adoring Fan by Azura that made me sad when he said that
Adoring Fan like for your profile picture 😂😂
@@blastfromdass4310 dutch reaction made me sad because at this moment dutch soul died
A Masterpiece, with the greatest sound score possible. Still in awe every single time I play it, every time I listen to it's musics.
Nothing will beat this moment! 🙏🏻
The best character Rockstar has ever made plus an ending that made me cry. The first game to ever do that
Legendary Cabbage the first game was tough too bruh
Same😭
Bo2 was the first that made me cry.... Alex mason ;(
@@18rickster18 the first game managed to really have a grip on people because of how sudden John's death was after he finally managed to be "free" and spend quality time with his family which added more to the tragedy of it.
Yeah the best character from Rockstar amazing
Arthur morgan has gamers so attatched to him that they wont accept the fact that he is not real
How do you know what you see is real?
But he is real in our hearts.
Ya gotta get attached to the characters man, it’s the best part
i can't accept the fact that he's dead
What’s the point of your statement? It’s like getting attached to a best friend or a family member. You can always relate to something Arthur is going through. He’s a great character. His transformation throughout the game was touching, and his feelings were shared with the player.
Still the greatest game in 2024
For me is the best game ever created, and it is more than a game, it is a memory that I am going to keep with me through my life.
is anyone else in absolute tears because of how well they performed this song knowing the story of the game and background of this song?
Just about lost it...when unshaken came on
I was in the same situation like you when I finished the game. I can stop my tears comin' out. Was the best game I've ever played in my entire life. He has everything
"You did your worst, tried your best"
Rap337 Ikrr😭
DespacitoDaniel Ahhh noo ): that destroys me
The only reason Red Dead didn’t win goty was because everyone was too busy playing the masterpiece of an entertainment product to be bothered to vote
Thomas Dezalak that’s truth i forgot to vote
@@manuelie3874 yeah dude
That's not how it works, though.
I voted
@@richardhawk7758 I think that's how it works, but I could be wrong thought
The story, characters, music, visuals and the minute details in animations, dialogues, sounds, animals, weather etc...it all just makes you wanna go back and revisit that world, because it creates kind of a bond... RDR2 won our hearts 🌹.. R.I.P Author Morgan, you deserved much better
5:53 you could see how much the guy in the middle was enjoying it, it’s so wholesome
HOW DID IT NOT WIN GAME OF THE YEAR
Trafish Grady you can’t bring online up cus gow doesn’t even have one
it won best narrative
At least, the game Won for the GOTY in steam awards 2020.
It was pretty hard to win that award since there was God of war 4, a master piece that I don’t think can be replicated again.
Cause it won the Game of the Lifetime
Tears. Mr Morgan. You were a good man.
God I'm not the only one 😭
B is for Bruce
B is for bawling my eyes out
Thanks Pearson.
indeed he was.
Were????? What u mean?? I havent finished the game.????.
The song brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. It’s so beautiful.
Just finished the main story again and I still come back to this performance. Bloody beautiful!
Arthur: Go to your family.
John: Arthur!
Arthur: Get the hell out of here and be a god damn man!
John: You’re my brother.
Arthur: I know...I know...
I didnt need to cry today ;;
😭 best scene
Im crying in this moment
Don't make me cry.
Yeah...we played the game....smh..
if u didn’t cry while playing this game. u are heartless
or you had the ending spoiled
I bought RDR2 in January, so ofc I knew that Arthur would die (the game is 2 years old already), but it didn’t help me when I was crying so hard I couldn’t hold the controller properly
polite spoon i didn’t cry because someone spoiled the ending for me so I only expected everything
@@Bunnut i watched the ending on two different letsplays and if i remember correct i cried harder on the second one.
Or your a child who has yet to understand
Love it ❤. Thank you for this guys!
Arthur to Kratos: Take the Goddamn award son, I don't need it.
Kratos Is Older The Arthur
You can replay RDR2 but the first time is the one that gets you. The acting, the story, the music. That final confrontation....wanting to kick in your TV screen to kill Micah...yeah, a deep deep game for sure.
Oh you are wrong. I've played second time. And i've cried like a baby
yeah cause you wanna kick micah knowing he's the rat and wanting to cry knowing that aurthur's gonna die
My second play through I slowed down and there is so much more the game has to offer
@@aregulardude428 I've watched that last scene of Arthur's story soooo many times
I still cry every time
I complete this game 5 times and when Arthur pass i cry like the first time.... And always discover something new
Sorry for bad english
when Arthur said goodbye to Tilly, that's when I started to cry, then when he said goodbye to Abigail, that's when I started bawling my eyes out
I was on the floor when John told Arthur that he's his brother
When he was telling his goodbyes to tilly and Abigail and the music began to play I nearly drowned in my own tears.
@@jamesgordon9825 right?? I remember pulling an all nighter to finish it, my parents were asleep so i had to keep my damn sniffles all quiet, my dog was there to comfort me too
I somehow managed to keep myself together during that bit
When Arthur's horse died, that's when I stopped watching the game. went to a corner, and cried myself
This is just so beautiful. I get emotional everytime I listen to it.
Beautiful
SPOILERS - They didn’t play “That’s the way it is” because they want people to experience that perfect moment in the game when Arthur puts his hat on, after saying bye to Abigail and Sadie and the song starts playing and you just know it’s his last ride and can’t help but think about the last 60-100 hours in Arthur’s shoes and the choices you made and you even think about your own life.. It was a good choice even though that’s my favourite song.
Mine too. Its just so beatiful
MrTShbib I related to Arthur a lot. I felt so heartbroken that my mind numbed my emotions so I couldn’t feel the pain. I felt the numbing but I fought it. Arthur Morgan, a part in my heart.
mad how that one moment in that game gets you thinking.
i like the sad version more
its way more intriguing to hear all the sad things
and how he regrets it and one last time he does the right thing helping john
Am I the only one who couldn’t relate much with “that’s the way it is”? I was expecting so much for Arthur’s last song and it ended up being a 4 chords cliche
This song made me find Gavin
This song made me wake up in Tahiti
This performance made me insist on an encore. *Insist.*
bladeryanner Really? He’s been missing for a few years now.
😂😂😂
bladeryanner still haven’t found that guy still even with John
With TLOU getting their show on HBO, and the fervor surround Yellowstone and it’s spin offs, I really wish we would have been blessed with a Red Dead HBO show.
enjoyed. Thanks!
Red Dead Redemption didn't take the goty, but in my heart it's the best game of the centuries. I feel like the characters are real. Impossible not to cry. Great job Rockstar!
I've never actually missed a game character until Arthur.

I had to play the campaign and get him back I felt super lonely in the world as John all by my lonesome
@@Legondski i know what you mean! Its Arthurs journey in what you had the privilage to take part of. It is really empty without him.
It’s funny, I remember when the game was first announced and that’d it be a prequel to the first game where you play as a character that isn’t in the first game or mentioned
When I heard that I went “well Arthur is going to die, why do I even want this game now?” Of course I was mostly kidding because I was obviously going to get it.
I did too. Such a well designed game
I will never not shed a tear to the rdr2 soundtrack. I mean this genuinely when i say that i want one of the songs to be played at my funeral.
This performance is incredible. Just wow
