Not surprised Roger Clark won this award, his portrayal of Arthur was probably the greatest bit of video game voice acting I’ve ever seen. I remember when the game came out I was a bit upset that you didn’t play as John but it didn’t take long for Arthur to become one of my favourite video game characters of all time. Well done rockstar and Roger Clark well deserved win
I know you posted this a year ago, but brother, people have got to stop calling it voice acting. It's performance capture. Saying all he did was use his voice as Arthur undercuts so 90% of his work. That percentage is real too. He said himself that voice acting took at max 10 percent of his time during the 5 years making the game. Voice acting, you get a script, and read off the page. Performance capture they have to memorize those lines, and act across from the other actors. When Dutch (Benjamin Byron Davis) is giving his epic, ridiculously long monologues, he had to memorize every bit of that, and act it in a room with the actors that played Arthur (Roger Clark), John (Rob Wiethoff), Sadie (Alex Mckenna), Micah (Peter Blomquist), ETC... When Arthur and Micah fist fight, it was the actors literally fake punching eachother, wrestling, etc. It's real acting that's translated via their Motioncapture suits to the screen we play them on. They move their arm in real life, their characters arm moves in real time on the screen as their shooting the scene. I know it may sound precious, but the cast of red dead, as well as thousands of other actors that do performance capture have said time and time again, that people mistaking their work for voice acting, has cost them many many roles, and given their careers a smaller boost than it should have been given after such a huge game and the awards they've won from it. Simply because fans, Movie and Television directors believe they aren't true actors and are only voice over artist!
Same here.. I was too obsessed and emotionally attached with John Marston for RDR1 and wanted this prequel to be from his perspective so that we know his back story with his gang. Arthur Morgan surpassed any of my expectations by a huge margin. Kinda glad, it turned out that way.

I don't know why I feel so depressed about it, I feel like he deserved to be happy more than the others thag survived and at one point all the missions were failures so I knew it would end bad. But until the end I believed that Arthur may have survived thanks to some protag chance but no. He was gone. I also cried when I read Mary's last letter, and I wish we could have seen one last time to tell her that he was dying.
@@shydreameress264 I'm glad you understood most of it (now I have no problem writing in your language). Yes, in the last missions you can already intuit the end of Arthur. The final journey breaks your heart, it is like the calm before the last storm. I must add that beyond history, it was the first game of the new generation that I played (on PC, all in ultra graphics) so its technical and beauty section left me captivated. Well done rockstar and Roger Clark well deserved win
Man Michael mando in Far cry 3 is The same level of Quality know?
Kinda glad, it turned out that way.
idk man Detroit Become Human had a lot of solid performances
