You said yourself you want to improve at the game. So the rose colored glasses are off and its time to approach the game like you did league back in the day. Another way to approach the game ; is the same way that your friend there suggested. Pick the main role that you want to play and don't diverge, and gradually expand your hero pool within that role. You'll speed through learning that positions fundamentals while also picking up on what you think other roles should be doing, or what other roles are doing wrong etc. I think support in this game is the HARDEST role in the game so if you truly like a challenge, picking high impact / crowd control / roaming supports (Lion , Lina , Mirana) is going to help you understand other things. Unlike league of legends, Heroes kits are way more important than the items(early game), and heroes like mirana/lina/lion/pudge are so strong lvl 2-3 they don't need anything but wards and branches, etc. etc.
About stacking: you should only go for it if you can't kill creeps fast enough. a stacked camp is better than no camp, but 15% gold and 25% xp worse than the camp that appears after the old creeps are killed. it's mostly supports that do stacking. it's more efficient that way. the poor stack and the rich clear, that's the balance of the universe.

It was fun until ranger came in. blud is the Yapchamp emote personified I think for Nemesis to understand heroes better, he should focus on explaining them in League terms and stuff like that. Like how Puck Q is just Lissandra E, how its Phase Shift is a Zhonya's but on a basic ability, simple to understand. How Leshrac is a giga AP Amumu. Using League terms is probably the best way Nemesis learns his champs but I've noticed Ranger doesn't do that much. Instead he's rambling on and on, arguing with chat, as if he's the streamer
Nevermind Rangerz is still raging when he can't explain "easy concepts". He never even used the word instance. He never explained that Q gives 2 separate types of charges, offensive(amount of hits with extra damage) and defensive(amount of damage events, instances blocked). It really is confusing, because why would extra damage hits be called instances? instance means occurrence, doesn't really make sense to use it while talking about hits.
This guy is probably the worst person to learn dota from. Can't explain shit and gets frustrated when Nemesis doesn't understand. There's a lot of small mistakes that Nemisis does that can easily be pointed out, but the other guy is just busy trash talking and not knowing what's going on either. Painful to watch. Just take a few games with a pro over your shoulder and you should improve 10x in a day. Easy
25:45 the way TA's Q works is the instances of bonus damage per hit and blocked damage instances have separate counters. So you can lose the shield that blocks damage instances but still have bonus damage for the remaining number of hit instances left. (even tho the visual shield is gone you still have the bonus AD)
agree with nemesis and hate chat for saying to wAtCh Le RePlAyS. he doesn't even know most champions & items, yet you expect him to undertand and be able to analyse behaviours and reasoning of pros. lol
Most of dota 2 important idea lies in macro decisions (when to push, farming pattern, ward spot, timing, lane equilibrium, item progression, ...) which can be picked up fast if you are coming from another MOBA. You don't need to know much about the champions to understand these. In fact, you should watch both your own replay and your POV, and watch a pro pub replay for comparison.
The only people who think watching pro games or high rank solo que is a good way to learn when being new are low ranks. Same in league as in DotA. So many RUclipsr doing videos about picks pros play and how op it is and etc and show how he played the game without realizing there are to many variables to learn like that. It is like the new chess players thinking just copy the best move and you will master the game fast. The best way to learn is practice first play everything try different heroes to know what they do and etc and eventually once you have a decent grasp you can also watch high rank gameplay but in general practice helps more.@@bachpham6862
