- Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke admitted Wednesday that she was arrested and chose not to disclose the legal matter during her Senate confirmation process because it had been expunged from her record.
During her 2021 confirmation process, Clarke, who heads the Justice Department’s civil rights division, was asked by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) in a questionnaire if she’d “ever been arrested for or accused of committing a violent crime against any person.”
Clarke responded, “No.”

Won't happen, first off our judicial system is so politically biased and motivated, and secondly she is a Democrat, black and a woman the trifecta of all trifectas

Where are all the rePUBES screaming for her to resign? This is the POS leftist Jew hater that is refusing to arrest and charges this demoncrat leftist NAZIs terrorizing and assaulting Jewish students!

She needs to resign or be arrested for lying to congress.
If lying would be considered a crime these days - Congress and the Senate would no longer exist. The new Speaker - Mike Johnson - liar in Chief - among the first to go.
An unpunished liar is encouraged to lie.
Shouldn’t she be fired immediately for lying under oath?

Martha Stewart faced jail time for lying to congress.
Technically, she could be arrested for perjury.

She must step down. Perjury is a serious matter.
She'll probably be promoted in the Biden Administration.

Expunged or not, having been arrested makes you unable to have a job in law enforcement. I’m sure she lied on her job application too.
And absolutely NOTHING will be done about it.
The amount of leeway that politicians have is unbelievable. It seems laws don't apply to the people who make and enforce them. The common person is expected to know and follow every law or they will be held fully accountable with no room for mistakes.
Exactly!
Wrong - she will get "special assignments" to make more money for her services to Prince Obama and birds like him.

She should have time in jail for Lying
If I were to "falsely testify", they'd charge and lock me up for the crime of perjury. Why is she any different?
Falsely testified = lied = perjury when done under oath.
Where's the criminal referral from the Senate?
They are the judicial branch, and iirc they have to get that branch to file charges for them? And no way they will do that 😂
When will a democrat be charged for their crimes, and made to account for their illegal behavior? This is the Asst. to the head of the DOJ, is there no line these people will not cross to get what they want?
Answers are. Never and no.
She should be charged with a felony perjury charge for lying. It is Congress what's The point of having law's if you don't uphold them.
If she lied to a Senate Committee she should be immediately arrested and charged with her crimes!
Is she being charged with perjury? Convicted? Fired? Should be all three. and disbarred if she is holding a license.
And how about a public court hearing fully stocked with manic reporters and snarky main stream media coverage?

That should be instant dismissal for lying under oath.
This is like lying on your resume. Grounds for immediate dismissal.
Charge her with perjury, report her to her State bar association and have her licence to practice law revoked.
A democrat being a liar, imagine that.
Protected by Democrat privilege.
I am pretty sure that lying and the ability to lie are both a job requirement to belong to the Dem party.

This is what you get with all of the Dei hires, incompetence and dishonesty. They also have a contempt for the American people that is mind-boggling
When she lied under oath to the committee that's a forfeiture of All and ANY benefits, plus fines and possibly jail time.
So she lied on her interview so she should be dismissed from her position! Her integrity has been destroyed!
She destroyed it herself.
Under Democrat rules, dishonesty is not a disqualification.

I absolutely believe that contaminates her abilities to function in the DOJ if she thinks having been arrested is a technicality.
She chose not to disclose the fact that she HAD been arrested in the past? Oh you mean she lied. Under oath. It makes perfect sense to put her in our current DoJ.
It’s ok she’s a dem

She was arrested for wearing whiteface at a black only part of her city.
So it was for hypocrisy and racism.
It said right there in the video. Domestic abuse. She attacked her husband with a knife.
She needs to be removed. Shouldn't she have been in jail.

She lied under oath, there’s no excuse. She should face the consequences. If not prosecuted, it sends the message that it’s ok to lie under oath
Black Queens get a mulligan.
Does she have to have any kind of security clearance? If so, then that should have been disclosed.
She lied. The question wasn't if you had an arrest record; it was if you had ever been arrested.
She should be removed from office immediately.
Well, she did lie. Everyone realizes she lied because she was afraid she would not get the job at the DOJ. However, a democrat lying under oath is pretty standard behavior. There will be no repercussions.
I love how she filed to have the domestic violence charged expunged. Still does not negate that she had been arrested. Apparently she doesn't know the difference and she should be fired.
If the arrest was expunged, she did not have to disclose it. From a legal standpoint, it never happened.
She should be charged with perjury.
Kinda seems like perjury and DEI almost go hand in hand
Misrepresenting an inconvenient truth to a direct question. It’s called lying.
A more PERTINENT question is "Have you ever been CONVICTED?" An arrest really means nothing, especially when charges were dropped.

Why is she even getting the option of 'stepping down' especially when it's clear she won't?
She lying just like a politician 😮
So what is tha point of ( expungement ) ? People and jobs can see it but they can't see tha actual charge ? TIME FOR A NEW SYSTEM AS THIS ONE IS NOT WORKING.
She should be fired and put on trial for perjury and if she's found guilty throw her in jail for 10 years then she's a felon perjury is a felony
Only a lefty could rationalize she didn't have to 'share' that information.Selective honesty.
Cotton asked the wrong question. He should have asked, "Have you ever been arrested regardless if the charge was dismissed or expunged."
that’s silly. There is no differentiation. “Ever” has a meaning. I like devil’s advocate but no way one can excuse this. Have you ever fallen down? Wait, wait, I know you’re standing now but have you fallen down before? Even though you got up….see?
“Have you ever been arrested?” That’s a simple yes or no answer. That’s no different than asking “have you ever been in a car accident?” and answering no, because you didn’t get injured. The outcome has no bearing on the initial question. She lied and she knew it. She lied on her job application as well.

Absolutely ridiculous answer. She is a high ranking DOJ official and knew she lied in a congressional hearing. Stop making excuses for people who lie. It’s still a yes or no question. She knew and was well aware that even if a charge was expunged she was obligated to answer truthfully. She lied. Adding the words might help catch them in a lie, but a lie is still just that. She is not a person applying for an ordinary job speaking with a recruiter. She was asked a question in a congressional hearing and knew she lied. She lied on her application as well. The wording on the DOJ application does have the extra verbiage, so there are no excuses. The only reason she won’t face consequences is because of her political affiliations and her status. The wording of the question has nothing to do with it.
I agree she should resign. She lied under oath, so she should be penalized for that. If she had answered yes and then explained why she was arrested, this could have all been avoided. Being arrested is not the same as being convicted. But for a government official, especially somebody in law enforcement, lying under oath is never acceptable.
Domestic violence doesn't make a liar out of someone nor can it be used to excuse lies ppl tell knowingly. She should resign...
I can say these things because i am a survivor of trauma so bad i would never wish on anyone...but it never made me lie...
She was thinking if she got arrested or her forehead did, her forehead got charged with killing a family of 4 after blinding them with it.
