Too bad movie musicals go in for famous actors than talent. Sucks that they butcher every movie musical. Hope they cast good on upcoming movies

Nope, all of them are different, maybe similar, but different. As someone who has watched the PBS original cast recording over a dozen times, I know.

I love Sutton Foster, but I don't know about this particular role, are maybe it was this song. It felt like it was translated through her so literally.
I agree...something feels off with her in this role.....however, it's HARD to compete with Joanna Gleason's utterly flawless performance
To me it sounded too vaudeville, too...you know, "it's BROADDDD-WAAAAAAY" Ethel Merman-ish. It needed a dash of innocence.
