Who else watched just to see Sierra Boggess? I love the way she held back her classical trained voice for this part. If she had let loose, she would have blown away the top layer of the sky.
Patina Miller hitting that high note in Last Midnight was incredible in person! I had chills all over my body and the audience erupted in awe, it was AMAZING to see her performance in person
It’s filmed live so people sitting really far from the stage can see. Like all large concerts are. Pretty sure it’s done by the venue and they can’t legally save the footage.
Shanice's facial expressions and voice, especially during "No One Is Alone," showing Red's vulnerability and grief after revealing to Cinderella that her grandmother is gone, it really breaks my heart to see the tears in her eyes. Why isn't Shanice in more live shows?
yeah of all the songs that got me crying. Like i love the original but THIS is the way that song is supposed to be performed! He starts off so deeply hurt and angry with his father for abandoning him and then it's reverse uno carded right in his face that he's doing the same thing to his own son. just brilliant!!!
I just realized this. Both Gaten Matarazzo (who is playing Jack here) and Daniel Huttlestone have one thing in common. They both started in playing Gavroche in Les Misérables, Gaten in Broadway and Daniel in West End (eventually also playing the role in the movie), then both eventually plays Jack in Into the Woods. Gaten here in the Hollywood Bowl and Daniel in the movie that came out last 2014

Thanks for sharing! Broadway quality productions don't come to Hawai'i as often as they go to other places; and, I had only seen parts of I.T.W. on YT. 📽 Also, as a writer, singer, actor and stage mgr., I find this quite interesting. IMO, some of the numbers were written a tad too long. 🎶 But, of course, this was an incredible cast (a few fav.'s!) and the prod. did a superb job w/this artistically and technically challenging show. 😍⭐ Additionally, the person operating the camera throughout this show did a great job! 🙂 Thanks again, and, Aloha! 🌺
Really? I kinda liked him playing both parts. It kind of made me feel like there was a thread of symbolism there since the old man is cooky and the narrator is all-knowing.
@@vicentehizon6202 When my aunt, my dad, and I saw this production live, found it funny how she starred as Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act, which is also the role Patina Miller herself(who plays The Witch here) would originate for the musical adaptation in the West End and on Broadway, and now here they are both together on stage(one in person and one on a projection screen and voiceover, anyway). 😁
If you haven't heard by now, (or maybe you have, in which case this is for anyone else reading the comments) Patina Miller is playing the witch in the current Broadway revival of Into the Woods, and an official cast recording will be coming out in September (I think)!
Can someone explain to me how Cinderella’s choice to go to the Kings festival had anything to do with this The way I see it she’s done nothing wrong her decision affected no one
@@sarahchandler9488 do you think she knew that the bean was magic when she threw it because I don’t think she did, she thought that the Baker’s wife was a nut case and for good reason
Red riding hood’s choice to stray from the path didn’t lead to this situation either but it did lead to her being eaten. Maybe she’s just thinking about her own choices that have led to bad things. And maybe Cinderella is thinking about how her choice to attend the ball led to her marrying a douchebag

I had not heard of Patina Miller before watching this. Now I can't stop watching It's the Last Midnight. She is phenomena!
She was in Pippin on Broadway (Tony Award win) and was in Mocking Jay (Hunger Games).
@@rarnayro Also the Broadway/West End production of SISTER ACT.
I need an album with THIS cast.

This was the clearest, most specific story telling I’ve seen in Into The Woods Act II.
And they speak and sing so clearly.
The fact that there's multiple camera angles on a jumbotron means this was professionally filmed. I really hope that footage is released soon.

Finally they 2 separate people to play the narrator & the mysterious man
yeah this show is super cast flexible. if you have less people you can double cast. if you have a large cast (like a school) you can split them!

I'm here for Atticus Lincoln
YESSSSSSSSS
I suggest you to change the title so this won't get deleted by RUclips Like wood slime tutorial
What does the Giant’s Wife say that makes the audience laugh right before she dies?

Classic Whoopi Goldberg.

I just did a double-take - doesn't Sierra Bogess look like Kim Crosby from the original cast?
Who was playing the witch? She was great.
Patina Miller!

She threw the second bean though.....

@@HeraB-mb8jz Yeah I don’t think that she knew. Technically, it was her fault that the second beanstalk was raised, but she didn’t know.

Why did Rapunzel run towards the giant? Was she suicidal or did she think the giant had her babies?
She is mad , she runs away from the witch without thinking that the giant could kill her
It depends on the staging. Some imply she was suicidal, others it was an accident.
