Speaking as a 35-year triple-tradie with qualifications in heavy fabrication, sheet metal and machining, nice tradesmanship. I couldn't have soldered those joints any cleaner. Liked and subbed. As a relative noob to RC I look forward to learning more from you.
Super clear video thanks. Only thing I would add is maybe using tweezers or thin nose pliers to hold the wires whilst soldering them to the tabs. They can get super hot!
Thanks for sharing your skills & techniques, it really helps. I have the typhoon mega that overheats so I will be soldering the motor fan cable with esc fan cable to plug in the 3channel receiver.
Thank you for your video, it's really informative. Could you also add running the wires to the receiver as well if you have a future video. Although I was able to figure it out in the background, being new to this hobby, i didn't know how the receiver wires were ran. I would have saved lots of time and errors had I known how to run them.
I'm about to use superglue because I'm frustrated so this will be interesting. Heavy duty outdoor velcro didn't even work a little bit. Double sided tape cost at least 10 dollars, 1/5th the cost of the hobbywing ESC itself. Why isn't there a standard esc mounting screw for hobby grade RC's #stupid, every rc ive owned this was an issue. Completely crazy.

End points... AHA I believe that's how I toasted the stock servo in my drift car. Thanks for the information.
I like to heat up the surface that I am adhering the servo tape to. It seem to stick better and longer.
Great informative video
I always love watching different soldering techniques
yeah, I don't remember seeing anyone use this technique before, but it works for me!

I'm a big fan of that 3M product!

This is so helpfull im learning every time i watch a vid here.. thanks👍
great video, thanks for the clear footage and explanations
How do you know what wire to solder to what part on the motor or does it not matter
The ESC and motor should both be labeled ABC or Blue Orange Yellow. So you just match the letters or colors.
Late to the show, but thank you for doing this video. It helped me so much!
Glad it helped!
Very good instructional video! Thank you. Nicely done.
Remember its allways easyer mesure twice before you cut than made whole new wiring 😊
Slick video.
Totally agree

Nice video sir 😊 I did notice however that you didn't use flux while soldering I was always told that was important what do you think about that?.
Thanks, I use rosin core solder, so there is flux in the solder itself.
Great instruction video. 👍
thanks!
Nice Video as Always! How do you feel about the Maclan Lipos? Best wishes from Germany
I like it because it's the highest capacity LCG shorty.
I wouldn't know which wire got soldered on which point on motor
Would you recommend thisnover the b74? I know you love your b74 but how is the tlr so far
Nice tutorial man.. this is very usefull for a noob like me.. btw, What is a sugu? @ 8:50
It's shoe goo amzn.to/34Qtl7b
Apparently I need a better soldering iron that gets hotter. :(
the TKR-950 I'm using is really good and $80
I have the esc xr10 v4 I'm putting on my drift car today, never soldered before. What wire do I use?
it comes with wires on it, I think they're 12awg
How to determine which cable is A, B, C??
they're labeled on the ESC, also like I mentioned in the video at 1:23, it's Blue->A, Yellow->B, Orange->C
@@RazorRC thank you so much for the info.
What kind of motor is that and is it a good motor?
Team Powers Actinium 13.5t V3, yes it's pretty fast
Razor RC nice!
