Bought this my son for Christmas, even being 50 degrees out it overheats in like 10 minutes of use. Fan works and comes on as soon as you turn the power on if its hot or not. All this with the stock 2s battery, I've used the battery for three days in a row because it over heats and my son gets bored waiting for it to cool down. We just use it the next day and its still great for about 10 minutes and then stops working until it cools down. On about the third day we do get the chirping that the battery is dead. Just not sure why we need two or more batteries when you spend more time waiting for it to cool than we do using it. Not sure if it will even last 10 minutes in the summer since it gets so hot here in NC.
What seems to be excessively hot? The esc or the motor? That’s not right it should be able to last pretty much endlessly (within reason) in 50°. Also, it’s normal for the fan to be on all the time, that’s just how they work, even the high end stuff. Hbx is good with customer service so they should take care of it for you. Just make sure there is nothing binding the wheels making it hard for them to turn, it should roll relatively smoothly with a very slight “notchy” resistance from the motor. Hopefully this helps.
How would you compare this to the MJX 14210? HBX seems to land on its feet and not flip over as much as MJX. Does it seem to handle better for beginners? Thanks
I like this one more. A bit bigger, and much more stable. I would also rate it as quite a bit more durable too. So yes much better at handling for beginners and non beginners.
Oh man this is so much better than the x07. The x07 has low quality gears and they tend to fail pretty quick. Otherwise Hosims cars are pretty good but they just won’t fix their cheap metals.
Nice! Was hoping to see this video! Great video as well, love the durability testing! Hey does that body fit on the 2996a at all? Wouldn’t mind that wing mounted as well!
Thanks! I hear ya. Sometimes they are, but so far I’ve had no issues with HBX. They’re all at Haiboxing-hobby.com. What brands have you had issues with?
No Wimps!! Amazing. Seems like a brilliant machine from HBX, nice to see steady improvements from them. Not surprised you missed a few shots with the camera, the logistics of getting everything aligned to film these little beasties in action is no joke! Love the troll reference too, WHERE DID YOU EVEN LEARN TO DRIVE!?&^* lol Pure goodness.
How does this with 2s compare to the 2995? Id think this is still a little faster, but the 2995 looks like its higher off the ground which would be better off road. Ive also been wondering how the larger tires you put on everything would perform with this.
Ya it’s quite a hot faster, especially being :s capable. I wanna say the 2995 got 17 mph when I speed tested that 2 years ago. This one does around 28 on 2s and 40 on 3s. Something like that anyway. I haven’t seen a stock 2995 in a while so I don’t recall if it sits up higher or not. It shouldn’t because it uses the same components and if anything, the 2997a has longer shocks, not shorter ones. I will be doing an upgrade video on it for sure!
I’m going to try to remember to check tomorrow. Many people are asking if the 2997a body will fit the 2996a. I feel mine split because of the cold weather, and I did have hard crashes. Lol
This hbx 2997a vs the hjx h14bm? Trying to get back into the hobby, used to run traxxas stampede and arrma kraton 6s and nero big rock. Thanks for your input!
Have you adjusted the throttle trim knob? It’s the one on the right and it may be turned too far counter-clockwise. Give that a small and slow turn if not centered. Be careful it will cause the car to move on its own if you go too far.
Actually that’s one of the downfalls of this one. You can’t turn it down 😥 Check out my recent videos on the Rlaarlo Omni Terminator. Similar price point and can be turned down to a crawl if needed.
QUESTION about my 2997a , it seems to me that mine has migrated most of the drive to the front wheels. Is that a typical problem? I'm assuming something is wrong with the center diff? Any tips or ideas?
Hmmm. Try to explain the issue a bit better. When under load, the center diff will displace power to the least loaded wheels which is normal. Do all 4 spin nearly equally when you hold the car in the air and throttle it?
@@DerbyCityRC Okay... did a little more detail testing. When I bench test it wheels all spin evenly. When I run it down the road front wheels wildly burn out style until I reach a high speed but under accellaration the fronts seem to be driving much more power with low traction than the rears which are biting well.
@DOUGandNIKI did this change so be you’ve had it or has it always been this way?that is normal center diff characteristics. I would check the front and rear diffs for any gear and driveshaft and axle damage, and if nothing is found, remove the center diff and put thicker fluid in it. Like 100-500wt.
I can make my daughters 2995 lock up the wheels and stop on a dime. On the 2997a, when going forward when I try to stop it slowly comes to a stop, takes about 10 feet, won’t lock the tires up. Also the car is very slow in reverse. I took it apart and put 100k diff fluid In Center diff. I think it smoother now. With the center diff out, motor clicks really loud when I spin the pinion gear. Not sure if that’s normal. 🤷♂️
Double check the throttle trim knob on the right. It should be centered and it’s probably turned too far clockwise. The motor should make a noise and feel notchy. Too much would be a problem though so as long as it’s running smooth, it should be ok.
Did all that, I was concerned about the notchness of motor but I’m a noob so I don’t know what normal is. I’ve order a replacement but if it acts the same I’ll send it back and keep the dirty one. Should help having 2 side by side to compare. I love the vehicles though. We hooked. Santa brought the 2995 to my daughter, daddy had to much fun and got the 2997a, mommy got jealous and her 2995 will be here today. You got us hooked 😎
Just scored one of these and it is so much fun! Broke a front axle on the first day and replaced it with the spare it came with. Where can I buy more? There doesn't seem to be a lot of parts available out there for the 2997a. Is there another car that is compatible? Thanks!
Dude! I broke another front axle! And I didn’t even crash it that hard this time. Do you think there might be a problem with the differential or something? It sheared off right at the diff, same as last time
I’m not sure. I like the car the way it is really. Probably won’t, I’ll just keep the big wheels on the 2996a and the 2995 and keep this one atleast somewhat smaller. They should still fit with the 15-17mm spacers.
Sweet, I’m brand new to RC. Just bought my 5yr old daughter a 2995 for Christmas after watch your vids. We had so much fun playing with it that yesterday I order a 2997a, some 3s batteries and a imars d300😂. I’m wondering if those big wheels and tires would be a good idea on the stock 2995 to help her get more traction and ground clearance as we live on a farm, or would they be to much stress on stock motor? Thanks for the vidyas !
Thanks!! I was skeptical at first but they did great! Seriously felt like the perfect amount of grip and slip. They’re definitely not designed for big jumps, but this car isn’t really tuned that way. Could easily raise the suspension height and put bigger tires to make it that way. 🤘👍🤘
With modifications. You will just need to turn one of the body mount post assemblies 180° And you need to either raise the body posts or remove the passengers from inside the cabin. The receiver and maybe the esc are slightly too tall.
Love your vids! I've picked up a 16890SA for my son and a 2997A for myself! Do you know what kind of diffs those come with? Are they sealed and take diff fluid, or are they not sealed and take grease? Any difference between the 16890SA and 2997A in that regard (sealed vs. unsealed diffs)? Thanks!
They’re not really sealed, however if you put a thick enough fluid in, it would be a while before it leaked out. The diffs are very similar, but there are some differences from what I remember. But both are not fully sealed. Hope that helps!
@@DerbyCityRC Thank you for the response! If you have time, would you mind giving your recommendation for what you'd run in those two cars (16890SA front and rear... 2997A front, rear, and center)? We broke a front diff outdrive cup on the 16890SA, so I'll be in there shortly to replace that... Thanks for the advice and for the awesome content!
@atbear you’re welcome! I haven’t ever tuned a car that small (though I should), but I’d probably do something along the lines of 10k in the front and maybe 20k on the rear on the 16890. Then probably still 10k in the front, 30k rear, and 100k on the center. I do like 100k in the center diffs of these. That’s just where I’d start and hopefully like it lol Keep in mind the diffs may not hold the fluid too well but worth a shot 😃
@@DerbyCityRC Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for - just a place to start! Once I get a chance to try some things out, I'll let you know how it turns out.
Haha, it’s just a metal cabinet, but yes I feel it’s safe mounted on a block wall. Also may put a sheet of metal on the wood framing above it as a shield. That’s not an exhaust pipe, but I am considering making one with a fan hooked to a heat sensor 🤣
It's got a bit of that Vorteks vibe. Really nice truck but that battery tray 👎🏻 If you were able to move the esc on top of the servo, would that create a useful space or still too small?
Hey, Derby RC! I’m looking for a Christmas gift idea. Would you say that the HBX 2997 is objectively better than the 2996a? Disregard price, and my main concern is durability more than speed.
For the most part they’re gonna be very similar in durability. Same exact chassis with very minor differences. Being the body is thicker on the 2997a, it’s possible it’s more brittle, but it’s hard to tell since it’s cold out. Then with it also having a higher amperage esc, even if you only use 2s batteries, the esc will be able to handle it easier and may last longer. I have more fun with the 2997a, likely because it sits lower and drifts nicely (which can be changed just by moving the shock mounting points on either model). Oh and the 2997a comes with metal shocks while they’re plastic on the 2996a.
@@DerbyCityRC Thanks for that! I figured as much, it seems like a pretty direct upgrade for a similar price point. Buying the 3s battery could be a nice enhancement for me in the future too. I love your videos by the way; I bought the HBX 16889 Pro by your suggestion and I could not be more satisfied - It’s an absolute unit! I’ve destroyed and replaced the mechanics of it because I have no mercy but the chassis, control arms, etc. are invincible! I just got another one for my brother too! Keep up the great work, you’re the one I rely on to push the limits on RCs 😂
Hi, I watch your videos, I like them so much. I bought a car MJX 16208 YPER GO . I would like some advice from you, since you have so much experience with these machines. Differential oil which one do you put in it? 4.000 Do you only use differential grease?
Yes definitely. It’s a little long, but this video will give you a really good idea of how it would do with bigger tires. These cars are the same chassis and drivetrain. ruclips.net/video/as1Lp7Y3kxY/видео.htmlsi=VJmqOD4JvnCSUUlg
They perform very similarly actually. The mt10 is better at jumps and flips and may have a slight upper hand in durability. MT10 is bigger. Both are awesome!
@DerbyCityRC I was giving you a hard time on FB, but I didn't realize the extent of it! LOL 😂 I think it's Brains RC. The breakage on his HBX looks very similar to yours 🤔
I think I’d choose this. I believe over all the durability will be better, has the center diff, looks a bit better, and is bigger. Also the same price right now. amzn.to/3QUlldD
Looking forward to the inevitable upgraded 2995 vs 2997a video. You're a one-man 2995-platform hype machine! LOL. You've got me excited to upgrade mine, so I've just ordered the motor and ESC for the 2997a to put in my 2995 as a budget brushless upgrade, the price of it all seemed like it was hard to beat at ~60 bucks for a brushless upgrade.
@@DerbyCityRC Pretty great! With those giant tires you've convinced so many of us to get it's around 34 mph on 2S. Since that motor is a F540 and not a true 3650 I was worried it would seem underpowered, but man, I'm totally satisfied. I will eventually get a 10BL60 ESC for waterproofness and better LVC programming options, but it can wait a bit still
@@DerbyCityRC Thank You for your reply! I searched everywhere but it's seems impossible to have it in Europe! also from Bangood or AliExpress 😢 After this model, under 200€$, which monster truck is your preferred? (best if with central diff too) I'm also aiming to at least 1:12 (not smaller) because I will use it 80% on grass, and I don't want to risk that it get slowed down too much from it... thank you for all your advice man, very appreciated❤
@GaetanoCrisci this would be my next choice. It’s the same chassis and motor but an ESC that is only 2s capable. You could always get a better esc. Still has the center diff. Also a different body. www.banggood.com/custlink/mvKPdsoo6h
Their main problem is their battery apartment until they fix that HBX sucks. I just hate those little batteries. And I wish I could run a normal size battery. You got 1:16 cars that run better battery than a 1:12.
Great truck! But that’s the first thing I thought when I seen that chassis 🤪 love the way you give these things hell!! Took a good many launches onto pavement IMO. Also think the colder weather made the plastic brittle!!🤙🏻💪🏻 Looks like a Win from here!!👍🏻😁
Just returned the H14BM and ordered one of these bad boys instead. It seems like a really well balanced build. (Minus the tiny battery compartment, but maybe they’ll release a chassis revision one day.) Can’t wait!
Agreed! I've had tons of bad luck with MJX for some reason. This seems to be a good bit better, especially for the 35$ off coupon. This is my next buy for sure.
It’s not out of the question, but more than likely by the time I got around to making that video, mjx will have had about 7 new models to replace this one lol I definitely prefer the 2997a due to size, durability, and handling.
this is a bold statement. Your kid, kicking that battery box "ok see ya!" is a top 5 funniest moment on this channel. Dunno why,but I hit the freakin floor right then man lmao
I would love for them to come out with a 1/10 version! The Flyhal fc610 and the 2996a aren’t really 1/10 but for some reason claim they are. This one is sized correctly
You can replace a chassis! Here is one on nearly this same model car from quite a while ago: ruclips.net/video/tr1wNOoHsFI/видео.htmlsi=p6yHofrw1SOM_ldP
lol no it was like that before we moved in. It’s from the fact that’s it’s too tight if a turn for the garbage trucks and they run it over a lot lol I assume anyway. I imagine it’s the original curb from the late ‘60s when it was developed.
@@DerbyCityRC Just giving you a hard time, man. I'm not sure these little cars could cause that kind of damage to the curb. ;) You got me craving this truck as my next model. I have a 16890SA, 3100A, and a 903A but am really wishing I had bought the 2997 instead of the 903.
I have/love a 1:16 HBX that's been indestructible. Appreciate that this model is bigger. Most of the bargain brands seem stuck on 1:16/18. That said, still can't find this one in Canada. :(
I've had mine a few days and already bent a shock shaft lol. But that's what happens when I send it full speed into an angled curb to send it flying. I also can't complain, since I was able to get mine for 97 dollars after taxes and shippinf
No Amazon for you I assume? So far that’s the only place it’s available unfortunately. Check out my video on the hbx 2996a. It’s the red one I show in here and I linked that on Banggood.
I used to drool over this hobby as a kid, but could never afford it. I remember getting the xRC magazines from the library and day dreaming of building one. This is back when it was all nitro and NiMH. The Losi truggies with neon wheels were my soft spot. Anyway I impulse purchased this and some 3S lipos and hopefully it opens up the rabbit hole that FPV quadcopters did for me. Great review and glad to see the family spirit still alive out there in this crazy world.
@@DerbyCityRC upper A-arm. I've bought a few others (Slash and Typhon 3S) since so I am going to fix it and pass it on to someone else. I'm going to start racing at my local track as well so I realistically won't run it again. It gave me the excitement to go balls deep into the hobby so I don't regret it at all. It's a stout little truggy.
Do you like this car better than the HAIBOXING 2995? I recently picked up the newest version of the 2995 (now comes with oil filled shocks). I plan on running the 2995 on 3s. Will this destroy the stock setup??? I love your reviews!
I have the 2995 platform converted to Brushless. One thing that keeps failing is the center drive shaft. The hex tends to get rounded over time right where it inserts in the umbrella pinions driving front and rear diff. Rest of the platform is great bang for the bug.
I’ve heard that complaint one other time.(maybe it was you on Facebook lol). That’s so weird cuz with everything I’ve done to these, especially my 2995, I’ve never had that happen. I’m sure it will one day lol
Yes this is the weak spot in the drive train, only 3/16 or so of the hex shaft engages with the umbrella pinion, the shaft is too short I welded and filed material back on to my rounded shaft. Shows how tough the gears are on HBX, I would think that the shaft would win over the umbrella but nope! Running bigger or grippier tires will round the shaft quicker I found, I like the 2996a tires but the rims are brittle and crack quite easy. HBX has some silly design flaws that they don't fix just repackage. I love the way theses drive though!

Thanks!! I keep meaning to check. I really think it will, but I’ll try to see for sure tomorrow. 👍
Love your vids. Always worry about getting parts for these el'cheapo RC brands. My past experiences haven't been great.
Thanks!
Love the troll reference too, WHERE DID YOU EVEN LEARN TO DRIVE!?&^* lol
Pure goodness.
Thanks!!
Haha, ya I’m gonna continue putting real troll comments in the vids just like this one 🤣
One of my tire rods broke off on mine😭😭 you have any tips on how to fix it? I’m fairly new to the whole RC scene. Appreciate it🙏
Have you found the replacement part? Swapping is just a screwdriver in most cases 😊
I will be doing an upgrade video on it for sure!
quite next to the whaling of the Kraton banshee
Does the 2996a body fit without any modifications? I love the 2997a, but the body is so fragile. It already has splits in it without any hard crashes.
I’m going to try to remember to check tomorrow. Many people are asking if the 2997a body will fit the 2996a. I feel mine split because of the cold weather, and I did have hard crashes. Lol
Watching this I realised I'm not subscribed yet. Fixed that. Keep up the good work 😁👍
Awesome thanks!! 😊😊
Dad! 😂 hilarious
😂😂😂
This hbx 2997a vs the hjx h14bm? Trying to get back into the hobby, used to run traxxas stampede and arrma kraton 6s and nero big rock. Thanks for your input!
This one 💯
The h14 is good, but the 2997a beats it by a long shot in my opinion 👍👍
I have this RC car, but I noticed when going forward and trying to brake, the car takes longer to stop. Is this normal and can you adjust it?
Have you adjusted the throttle trim knob? It’s the one on the right and it may be turned too far counter-clockwise. Give that a small and slow turn if not centered. Be careful it will cause the car to move on its own if you go too far.
Hi, what's the lowest setting on the RC for Speed? id like to share it with my son, he will need a significantly slower machine than me...
Actually that’s one of the downfalls of this one. You can’t turn it down 😥
Check out my recent videos on the Rlaarlo Omni Terminator.
@@DerbyCityRC Awesome...thanks!
@DOUGandNIKI you’re welcome!!
Does it have a speed knob that you can slow it down for little kids?
Unfortunately it doesn’t. That’s been a common complaint as it’s one of the first hbx models to not have a speed adjustment.
do you know where we can buy some spare tires for this HBX 2997a?
Sorry I missed this. Some are on Amazon, the rest are at Haiboxing-hobby.com 👍
Thanks!
Glad you like it, but also surprised you broke an axle. (Bad crash? Lol)
Haiboxing-hobby.com has all the parts!
Dude! I broke another front axle!
And I didn’t even crash it that hard this time. Do you think there might be a problem with the differential or something? It sheared off right at the diff, same as last time
Can that motor get burned out ?? That motor look like it should have came with a fan or maybe can u install a fan to it ???
The motor does great, but yes you could install a fan if you needed it.
Hey I'm about to drill into the shock tower for more clearance
Awesome review again! Is this the same motor as the 2996a? (could be a cheap esc upgrade to run it on 3s)
Thanks!
Good point, yes I do believe it’s the same motor. Very similar if not!
Go Anywhere, Go Axial !!!
Will the body of the HBX 903A (grey/white geometric one) fit this?
I don’t have that body so hard to say but most likely could make it work.
Great video!👍 What size and brand of paddle tires would you recommend for the 2997a?
Thanks!!
I haven’t tried any yet but I would keep it close to the same size as stock. They’re probably around 100mm in diameter but that’s a guess.
Do you plan on upgrading to the same big tires that you put on the 2995? Will they fit the 2997a with the same spacers?
Great vid as always jus wonder what you thought bout the tires 🤔 cause they look pretty Rad! Best crew ever!!!❤️🔥👊
Thanks!! I was skeptical at first but they did great! Seriously felt like the perfect amount of grip and slip. They’re definitely not designed for big jumps, but this car isn’t really tuned that way. Could easily raise the suspension height and put bigger tires to make it that way. 🤘👍🤘
does the 2995 shell fit the 2997a?
With modifications. You will just need to turn one of the body mount post assemblies 180°
And you need to either raise the body posts or remove the passengers from inside the cabin. The receiver and maybe the esc are slightly too tall.
Happy New Years bro
You too man!
@atbear you’re welcome!
I haven’t ever tuned a car that small (though I should), but I’d probably do something along the lines of 10k in the front and maybe 20k on the rear on the 16890. Then probably still 10k in the front, 30k rear, and 100k on the center. I do like 100k in the center diffs of these.
That’s just where I’d start and hopefully like it lol
Keep in mind the diffs may not hold the fluid too well but worth a shot 😃
@@DerbyCityRC Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for - just a place to start! Once I get a chance to try some things out, I'll let you know how it turns out.
Awesome, looking forward to the info.
Thanks!!
Hi what metal servo arm saver fits please
I don’t know yet 😢 trying some stuff though!
Holly crap, a safe.... Now that is what I call safe storage of lipos 😁 is that even an exhaust pipe? 😮
Haha, it’s just a metal cabinet, but yes I feel it’s safe mounted on a block wall. Also may put a sheet of metal on the wood framing above it as a shield. That’s not an exhaust pipe, but I am considering making one with a fan hooked to a heat sensor 🤣
@@DerbyCityRC bro, i keep my lipos in the shower, on the tile floor. So trust me, that is a safe! 😁
🤣🤣 hey that’s better than on your couch lol
This vs h14bm/14210? Wanting to get a durable newer one and these two seem to be the best?
Definitely this one. Much more stable, more durable, bigger, similar speeds, better looking.
It's got a bit of that Vorteks vibe. Really nice truck but that battery tray 👎🏻
If you were able to move the esc on top of the servo, would that create a useful space or still too small?
Yes that’s a common thing to do actually. Just need to snip away a small plastic divider and it opens it up.
Thank you for bashing the hell outta your cars. Love it. Let's me decide on what cars to buy or stay away from.
You’re welcome, that’s why I do it!
This one endured a ton and is one of my top favorites under $300, and currently only $150!
I bought a car
MJX 16208 YPER GO . I would like some advice from you, since you have so much experience with these machines.
Differential oil which one do you put in it?
4.000
Do you only use differential grease?
Thanks!!
I rarely ever add diff fluid. If I did to these, I’d probably start with maybe 20,000wt and see how it did.
@@DerbyCityRC okay Thank you
That FedEx guy...
What a duckhead!
😂🤣
Can this thing handle bigger tires?
Yes definitely. It’s a little long, but this video will give you a really good idea of how it would do with bigger tires. These cars are the same chassis and drivetrain.
ruclips.net/video/as1Lp7Y3kxY/видео.htmlsi=VJmqOD4JvnCSUUlg
@@DerbyCityRC what do you think a narrower than the ones you used but taller than stock tire would do? Less stability?
@ajfodness5221 not sure but I’m gonna try it soon 😃
@@DerbyCityRC any chance you can tell me the exact size that come on the 2997a?
These vs mt10 whats best
They perform very similarly actually. The mt10 is better at jumps and flips and may have a slight upper hand in durability.
MT10 is bigger. Both are awesome!
Seeing you and your "twin" in the same shot catches me so offguard everytime 😂
Haha! Just wait til next week then!
Now, the band aid makes complete sense 😅 I saw another person have the same exact issues as you :-/
Haha! Dude I did NOT think it would hold it together. Seriously impressed 🤣
Who else had my issues?
@DerbyCityRC I was giving you a hard time on FB, but I didn't realize the extent of it! LOL 😂
I think it's Brains RC. The breakage on his HBX looks very similar to yours 🤔
lol ya the band aid served it’s purpose, until everything around it fell apart 🤣
@DerbyCityRC hahahaa trur, either way, awesome car. I've never had an HBX, but that car definitely shot to the top of my list.

Is these sold in uk can t find it
Unfortunately they’re not yet. Closest thing for now is the 2996a.
@owen8538 well…this one 🤣
What’s your budget?
@DerbyCityRC tought so tho not sold in uk 2997a :( I ordered the 16889a pro tho want larger 1 1 10th 200 max
The 2996a is a good option, but not 3s capable or as cool looking lol.
Have you seen my videos on that one?
Amazing videos
Thanks!!
If you could only buy one, would it be this or the HYPER GO H14BM you reviewed a couple weeks back?
I think I’d choose this. I believe over all the durability will be better, has the center diff, looks a bit better, and is bigger. Also the same price right now. amzn.to/3QUlldD
Looking forward to the inevitable upgraded 2995 vs 2997a video.
You're a one-man 2995-platform hype machine! LOL. You've got me excited to upgrade mine, so I've just ordered the motor and ESC for the 2997a to put in my 2995 as a budget brushless upgrade, the price of it all seemed like it was hard to beat at ~60 bucks for a brushless upgrade.
Awesome!! So how do you like it?
@@DerbyCityRC Pretty great! With those giant tires you've convinced so many of us to get it's around 34 mph on 2S. Since that motor is a F540 and not a true 3650 I was worried it would seem underpowered, but man, I'm totally satisfied. I will eventually get a 10BL60 ESC for waterproofness and better LVC programming options, but it can wait a bit still
Awesome man! Ya I’m impressed with the motor for sure!!
Glad you like it!!
What’s your favorite HBX?
This one out of the box for sure.
As far as upgrades, would be my upgraded 2995.
Great vid,....I am a lil uncomfortable hitting the like button turning it to 666.
Thanks!!
Haha, someone’s gotta do it lol
It comes 3S capable so that means it could possibly handle 4S 🤔 hehe
Haha! Hmmmmm
Is it comparable with mjx 14210?
The hbx is definetively bigger and with central diff. Mjx is a compact bullet, this seems larger and more stable
🔝Man love your reviews! very spontaneous! thank you! 🙏🏻
what you say between this and the Team Associated Reflex 14MT?
Thanks man!!
I’d choose this. The reflex is not any more durable than this is, and it’s quite a bit smaller.
@@DerbyCityRC Thank You for your reply! I searched everywhere but it's seems impossible to have it in Europe! also from Bangood or AliExpress 😢
After this model, under 200€$, which monster truck is your preferred? (best if with central diff too) I'm also aiming to at least 1:12 (not smaller) because I will use it 80% on grass, and I don't want to risk that it get slowed down too much from it...
thank you for all your advice man, very appreciated❤
@GaetanoCrisci this would be my next choice. It’s the same chassis and motor but an ESC that is only 2s capable. You could always get a better esc. Still has the center diff. Also a different body.
www.banggood.com/custlink/mvKPdsoo6h
I have a couple videos on that one too.
Some drywall tape/shoe goo would probably work wonders on that body considering the post hole stickers did their job!!!
Yup that’s probably what I’ll do! 👍👍

Yup no fault of the car here! Total beast and super fun!!
Bro, your videos are very good, all around, like editing/humor/informative and all. You are good homie.

Just returned the H14BM and ordered one of these bad boys instead. It seems like a really well balanced build. (Minus the tiny battery compartment, but maybe they’ll release a chassis revision one day.) Can’t wait!
Better choice in my opinion so that’s awesome! I know you’ll enjoy it!!
Agreed! I've had tons of bad luck with MJX for some reason. This seems to be a good bit better, especially for the 35$ off coupon. This is my next buy for sure.
H14BM is almost half the price of this one so is it a fair comparison?
@vendettasnares really? For me an H14BM shows up as $180 with a coupon and this shows $160. Where are you finding H14s for $80? Sounds great!
@@DerbyCityRC I just posted the same but I think RUclips tossed it to the curb because I actually included the amazon links. 😆

It’s not out of the question, but more than likely by the time I got around to making that video, mjx will have had about 7 new models to replace this one lol

The Flyhal fc610 and the 2996a aren’t really 1/10 but for some reason claim they are. This one is sized correctly
Just wondering if you can fix a car that has a broken chassis or is it just used for spare parts? Have you ever posted a video of a chassis repair?
You can replace a chassis!

Wow, so interesting, thank you
Is that curb all busted up from you hitting it with your rigs? Ive seen you smack it so many times. XD
lol no it was like that before we moved in.

Ya I have big tires on my 2995 with a Hobbywing combo and on my 2996a so I’m sure I’ll have that shaft issue eventually.
Yes these drive so well!
