If there is one thing I'm not pleased about is the Map display and the Map in general. Are they really changing the overall map to have that monochromatic look? If so, it just looks like that it will be harder for me to look where I'm going from a visual standpoint. I mean when I do find certain new landscapes as of now, I'll have the save points in different colors to remind myself what this is and so forth (chert, sandstone, shale, and so forth). I don't know about this change. But I could be nit picking here though. Everything else to me will be adjustments and manageable to me.
I also want the old map back xD It was just easier to use and more attractive to look at
that map was a mod and they integrated the mod into the game!! proud of the creator for acheiving this however this needs to be optional in settings
Ah, I didn't know that, pretty cool. And I do strongly agree that the map look should be optional in the settings, to allow any of us a choice.@@simsationelle
you can still have the old look of the map when you create the world, there's a checkbox in there I forgot what it's called

Yep, and that seems to be a little bit annoying 😅 It's just blocking the view
@@the_origameYou can check the settings, there's an Immersive view or something checkbox. I'm not at the PC right now, but you can change them

It may be unpopular opinion, but I really don't like the new map, it seems like a huge downgrade from before, plus not being able to switch to the normal map which was so useful for planning trips and finding stuff especially at night. I would be more behind it if it was more of a "fog of war" type where you can see the overal layout but you have to explore for your map to chart it in a normal way.
And the first person animations look very distracting, I know a lot of work went into it, but it feels like taking unnecessary screen space and distracting you in doing tasks. I really hope the dev adds an option for both the map and the animations so whoever prefer the new/old way to be able to choose what they like. I just feel that time it took to work on them could've been used for something better and more useful.

and yeah, the new animations are a bit weird, but it seems like it's still work in progress, maybe they can leave the switcher to the old view as well

Why 1.19? It is not even rc version currently, and these fp animation is far from finished, not even close.
Why not, I just wanted to try it out xD
