"/roomregdebug" ... According to the wiki, removed and replaced with "/debug room" as of version 1.19.

With regard to the way the map looks, I'm sure there'll be some great mods come out to change the appearance... So that's something to look forward to, I would suppose... 😉
There's an option in the world settings to use the old map

Now if they could make it so dark-colored markers have white outlines, they'd be easy to spot on the 1.18 map as well :P
The only good thing about the look of the new map is all markers show up better now in all seasons

I hope the rams and other animals that came first get an updated model in the future, right now they feel like they look strange compare to the new animals we got but maybe that is just me. Does anyone else feel the same?
I kinda agree. There is the sentimental value to having them stay the same hahaha!

Apparently they are going to integrate the animal trap in this version. In pre 6 they included it to be tested but it doesn't work.

What's alarming is mods still do it better.
While the ruin updates look better ( default ones) , they also added chiseled blocks , which cuts down on useful blocks to rebuild with. I am glad they reworked high-fert soil and terra preta, but at the same time, its still too expensive to be viable , you really won't get decent farm soil made, faster than medium fert can yield up crops still yet. First year, just don't count on having big farms with best soils.
You gotta get rot, compost ( automagic loose 20 days to compost) , so you could make 4 blocks of terra preta per batch. 8 if you give up the high fert soil to double. Thats per compost batch.
I do not like the "new map" , and prospector info is still better, as it displays the chunk heat map, not a small spot. ( There is option to turn it back normal, map wise).
I also do not care for new pig behavior, this is gonna make domesticating/having pig farms more problematic , and wasn't needed as much as bear spawn and behavior needed adjusting way more. It's more "realistic" yes , but just over complicates an already frustrating slow process.
It seems more like a dev push to force exploration/nomad style living , and temperate climate is where you should stay. Picking even tropical has some drawbacks crop wise/higher food spoilage temps.
I am not sure i like seeing arms yet. I personally didn't find the old way disruptive.
I love the game, just 1.19 seems ... disappointing so far. I already look forward to 1.20+ in hopes better content gets added ... like more crops!
The pig behavior is gonna be hard to get used to for sure! Pigs are so valuable to farm for fat, but starting out now, you will have to be sooooo careful!
I don't mind see the arms, it seems more realistic.

Yeah!! I should have put that on my "dislike" list! My hair is always purple.... BOOOOOO
Kinda juat waiting for them to make the animal more easier to handle with lead or something and to add drinks and add water as part of the survival stuff. Maybe have tea, coffee, etc as well. And soup can restore some water as well. Just for immersion sake.
Yeah, instead of capturing gen 3, why not the wild animals to make them easier to get home. A lead would be great.
Thirst and water are a good idea :)
As long as leads only affect domesticated animals that would be cool

Why is there no way to FIND the dungeons. You can mine for a week and not find anything.
Yeah, you have to dig around. Surprisingly, there are a lot of caves, TLs, and dungeons that dontbhave access to the surface. If you want to fly and find them (and dont consider it cheating in your game), you can go into creative and no clip mode to find them.
@@HypnotiqueAKAHypi It's unfortunate because if you are a hoarder, like me in these kinds of games, you want to find them and take EVERYTHING. But this game brings a new definition to tunnel mining when you try to find them.
Hypi I am with you on the new map. That color change is horrible. And I'm afraid prospector info might not be updated, and I think its functionality is better than the way the new map shows prospecting, so I'm going to hope PI gets an update any way. Lastly....... we like your brain too.
Yeah, apparently, there is an option in the setting to use the old map, which I didn't know about at the time of the video.

I dislike the new map. I’m hoping ‘terrain ‘ will eventually take us back to the old map colours.
Hypi told me there is a setting already in game to use old colors, I'm hoping she is right.
You can choose the option for the color map in the world settings when generating a new world. If you missed the option and started a new world with the paper map and want the color map, in chat type /worldconfig coloraccurateworldmap true ,exit the game and when you reload your world, you will have the old color map. People running their own dedicated server should use the /stop command after entering the command for the color to properly shutdown the server, otherwise the changes won't take effect.
