Going to buy these based on your review. Thanks. Just can't figure out what color to get. Boat is a new 2024 AR220 we pick up first weekend of May. Like the black to match the tower, but White I think would look good as it stands out against the black tower.
@@THEFSHDUDE, ordered black. Will be here Tomorrow. Will get to play with them at home and figure out all the settings before installing them on the boat. Thanks again.
The only thing I don't understand after playing with them tonight is what is the base cover plates are for that include 4 small screws for each one. I am using the quick release knobs, so don't think those parts are needed.
@@JarPed I only have the one battery pack version. The 2 battery pack has the advantage of double the playing time and no need for the passive connector so literally wireless.
I’m debating between wired speakers and I just ran across these and your review! I have a 25 year old bowrider I use to tube and ski with the kids, will these be loud enough when under full throttle pulling them in the lake? I can’t find a review where someone is under full throttle and whether they are loud enough. So you run a cable to the main speaker from the passive speaker and one battery runs both speakers? Does Ecoxgear do any type of military discount 😀. Thanks for your review
I believe they are, they are probably around 120db if I had to estimate. I’m also a veteran but I’m not sure if they offer a military discount. I always call companies and ask before purchase. These were supplied to me for my review so I didn’t purchase them but I do highly recommended them. Finally, yes the one battery powered speaker powers the passive too. You can by them with both powered independently as well. You can add up to 100 I think and link them together. It’s crazy! I hope this has helped.
These by far. The Skars are only 6.5” and way less powerful. They aren’t even comparable as they are two very different setups. The skars are in a large 10 speaker setup. The setup I have is much louder than these but if you were deciding between just the Skar 6.5s in cans versus these then there’s no comparison and these are the way to go.
What's the expectation with these? Would it be ok to leave them out on the tower all the time or do you have to go through the pain of unscrewing them every time with the allen wrench?
You can leave these on. Also, you don’t need to unbolt them because the speakers have quick releases. Only reason you’d need to unbolt the clamps is to install them on something else.
Yes but you’d have to Bluetooth your phone to our tower speakers then turn on EcoCast transmit on the speakers then purchase an EcoCast receiver and plug in to the other speakers amp aux in
I’m looking at purchasing and it gives the option to purchase with two batteries is the passive capable to use a battery and be by itself or does it need to be powered by wire
@@THEFSHDUDEIs there one amplifier on the main unit powering both or is there an amp built into each unit and the cable is just for signal and not power?

@@chokechange no inputs other than Bluetooth. You can pair 99 of their speakers together. They sell subs and soundbars too. The soundbars have inputs so you can use those for other inputs. No need for dsp as they have built in audio controllers so it’d be pointless and redundant.

I just hooked a set of these up today.
I could not be more happy with them.
I was very impressed myself. I had my doubts when they sent them to me to review but was blown away after testing them out.
What kind of battery life are you getting?
@@TheZammy2blood haven’t had them die yet. I’ve ran them for more than 5 hours and still had over half battery left.

That’s a tough one. It’s all personal choice, I’d prefer the black ones myself.

You’ll love them! I still do. And I use them more places than just the boat which makes them even better of a value!

Great review! What kind of battery life are you getting?
I have not had a battery die yet in a day’s use. I use them then charge the battery when I get back home and put the boat away.
Hey, Can you pair these speakers to a stock Yamaha head unit or would have to play/pair them separately?
These are separate from the stock unit.

@@THEFSHDUDE awesome thank you!
These are awesome
I agree!!
Can you pair this with the soundbar ?
Yup! You can pair it with their subwoofer too! Up to 100 devices can be synced by them.
Can these speakers link with my current JL audio speakers on my 190 FSH
That depends on your setup and audio source. Their input is Bluetooth. So if you are able to link by Bluetooth then yes, if not then no.

My current setup but I also have over 2,000 watts and 10 speakers lol
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🙏🏼
What is the Amp Hour rating for the battery?
I’m looking at purchasing and it gives the option to purchase with two batteries is the passive capable to use a battery and be by itself or does it need to be powered by wire
Passive needs to be connected by a cable. It has no independent function. If you want total wireless get the dual setup.
I wish we could do a group purchase for a discount
I’m sure I could organize that if you get enough people to join you.

I’m interested in these but you think they’ll be loud enough for a can am while riding ?

Did you have to amplify the passive speaker or was it amplified by the main speaker?
Great question, it is amplified by the main speaker.
@@THEFSHDUDEIs there one amplifier on the main unit powering both or is there an amp built into each unit and the cable is just for signal and not power?
there is an amplifier in the main with a cable to the passive.
