Watch this insane Lancia Delta HF Integrale tuned and modified by RAMA Racing doing some 1/8 mile launches on the main straight of Modena Circuit in Italy. The engine of the car is now able to produce 1100hp (with a power at the wheels of 1060hp) and 1120 Nm at 6200 rpm.
First run at 1:15 was a test run. For the best ones skip to 1:58.

Impressive, but the front end looks horrible. Much prefer the regular Delta fascia.

At least not at the time of this filming.
It would destroy the transmission with those tires, don't care what kind of trans it is, launching with AWD with 1100 hp on slicks ... bye bye trans.
It would also take much longer to spool with such a large turbo and "small" motor.

I know what 1000+ hp sounds and looks like, and this is not it.

Supras are rear wheel drive.
A little air density correction on a dyno can push the numbers from say 800 to 1000 hp very easily.

I know this car. If you compare the way that car leaves the line to this car, you have to wonder where the additional supposed hp has gone.
The 16vampir guys also went through quite a bit of transmissions.
