done this Saturday great advice. I'm short stocky and do the same thing with changing my levels and then right hand when they least expect it. Canelo is great at thus
He sounds like guy on Dark Side of the Moon when they’re discussing the last time someone had been in a fight. The one guy, which it turns out was the doorman at Abby Road studios goes “You give him a short, sharp shot, dig it…”
I appreciate the instructional video's Sir. Boxing fan my whole life but have never had access to a gym to learn techniques and or just for fitness. Thank you.
As a guy who trains mauy thai, i can tell you the only way to learn this stuff is to get your ass to a gym! Youre not going to lean this stuff by watching videos (no matter how many you watch). It just doesnt work like that. In fact, you wont really learn the sport just by hitting a heavy bag either. You'll need to do partner drilling AND light sparring to get the concepts once you learn the basic mechanics of throwing a punch (and in mauy thai, kicks). Dont be shy, take the first step. You'll be glad you did. Its a lot of fun!
Frank, could you give a run down of a 20-30 minute workout on a heavy bag/stationary bag. I’ve got a century bob ( stationary ) in my garage. And I need some structure. Cheers.
@woooooooo9061 That's too long on a heavy bag. You should do 3 X 2min or 2min rounds on it, but not punching constantly. It depends on your age and fitness. The heavy bag is only one part of a workout. Hope that helps.
Geez, I think this man at his age could handle 80-90% people of any age walking the streets. KO
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Frank.
It's one of the key fundamental strategies but strangely, something that coaches often don't introduce as a concept for way too long.

Very clear and precise presentation. Going to give this technique some practice
