AND YOURE CALLING IT "RESCUING?!" Oh wait, you're gonna sell some to slave traders?!?! how dare you!! 🤣
I didn't know you could change the gear appearance as you want, so it always cracked me up when there was a super serious cut scene and my character looked horrendous
Also, if you plan on playing in all four houses, I recommend making the character and play until the sorting house scene, then save and create the next character so when you finish one account you can easily start the next house after the beginning tutorial.
Currently playing Hogwarts and I suck quite frankly. I'm overwhelmed with the amount of information that's on the screen and they're pretty distracting. Thank you for this video. It might help me play better. Cheers!
It'll come in time. Maybe play on Story mode until you get the hang of things. Repetition/ trial and error is key to learning the mechanics of a new video game.

I'm just taking a wild stab here but I imagine it's because you're getting stressed and therefor try to focus on everything at once and get overwhelmed. During fights, literally all you can do is watch your characters head for the yellow or red circle and press block/dodge accordingly. Other than that just take some time to run around and explore stuff, get comfortable with the controls etc. I had some issues with this aswell before I realized it 😅😂
@@DarkWidget you are spot on hahaha! This is me alright. I’m pretty much new to gaming. Didn’t grow up with consoles or a PC. So I only got to experience gaming until recently. I’m having fun. I feel like my younger self is alive.
@@theonlyricemama Haha yea, I did grow up with gaming every once in a while but even I get this so I can only imagine 😂 Just try to focus on having fun, exploring, doing whatever you feel like doing and not so much about doing 'whats right', there's literally a guide for everything you can think of. I've been rushing through the game abit because of very limited time and I kinda hate myself for it, there are soooo many small details you'll only notice once you calm down and actually take in the surroundings. But yea gaming is amazing, an excellent escape for everything you don't wanna experience at that time :D
I was looking for Dogweed and Deathcap for hours to unlock the Venomous Tentacula and Mandrake seeds, and there it was right there in north Hogsmeade. Thanks!
Note on farming XP: Battle arenas only works until you've completed all of the combat challenges for each type of enemy. For example, once you've killed 190 goblins, you will no longer get XP from killing goblins. You'll still get XP from mobs that you haven't yet completed all of the challenges levels for, but again, each enemy type is a finite resource for XP. The better way to think of farming XP is to concentrate on whatever it is you still need to complete in your challenges. If you still have Merlin Trials challenges available, you can farm those to both get XP and increase your gear space. If you don't yet have 5 levels of ancient magic, you can still farm ancient magic locations for XP (that one's a bit different, since there's exactly enough ancient magic locations in the world to get 5 levels of it). That same goes for all of the other challenges. You might not care about the cosmetic rewards they give, but they all give XP. You can find pages, breed or rescue beasts, or kill enemies, but only to the point where all of the challenge levels for that challenge are complete. As the tip says when you first get the Wizard's Field Guide: Completing challenges is the ONLY way to get experience points.
Would love to see you do a video about the scarecrow robe and hat set earned by doing a bunch of dueling feats... Haven't seen anyone else talk about it
For the Alohomora puzzles, they are a thousand times easier with controller vibration turned on. I felt like a complete idiot when I realized that I needed to turn back on controller vibration in order to solve the puzzle!!!
You discovered using the Levioso spell to hold beasts in place? Deek literally teaches you to do that when he teaches you how to catch beasts for the first time 🤣🤣 Great discovery man
I'am playing on gamepad, so when this patch appears I rejoin in the game with a hope, that they added full screen, but when I was in a main menu, it needs to push a triangle to chose settings, BUT ALSO triangle is for "delete you character?" AND YES, I deleted my character after 25 hours of gameplay.
I love how becoming a poacher is the best way to make money

I'm betting now that there are gonna be a few really in-depth and also super simplified /streamlined map mods coming out this year

Tried the lockpick tip. Must have been patched. Still got the mini game on story mode
the mini game will still be there. Story mode adds a new button to auto skip the mini game.
