I love how you just went with the mistakes. Art is about working through the mistakes to find the beauty in them. It turned out great!

I can't believe it. At the very beginning I thought "Man, there is NO WAY that it'll work", but the end effect just blew my mind! If it was me, I would've given up halfway, not satisfied with the effects. Several times it got to the point it looked really good and I thought "Now, any more than this will spoil it" but you went and added more, touched it up and it looked even better! Seriously I loved the video and the way you were just having fun with it. So inspiring! I am going to start my own journal now! And I will never not stop halfway anymore!

you are an inspiration. I loved drawing as a child and preteen but then left it behind and never really thought about it again. I am now 52 and am falling in live with journals. i have aleays loved the idea of journals but until recently i only thought of them for writing but with the new art journals and altered books and composition books I am finally realizing I can get back to being artistic with my journals. I know it is not as easy as you make it look but even after all the other people i have watched you are the only one that has inspired me to actually try to painting and not just gluing paper to pages.

I love the spontaneity of mixed media art journaling. It's something that's very hard for me, personally, to do in traditional art. That's why I admire artists like you who do this sort of thing. Try as I might, I’ve never been able to wrap my mind around multimedia art journaling, but this video gave me several “ah-ha” moments. Thank you for explaining each step, and what thoughts you had, but not really an overall plan. How you worked thru “happy accidents” and just kept trying different (and the same) techniques with different materials. Very helpful and peaceful to watch. Thank you!

This was amazing to watch! I'm brand new to all of this. Painting and stuff like that. I have done journaling all my life and kept them all...doodled in all of them and taped pictures in or copied quotes, whatever inspired me at the time. The last one was 2006! I've held on to all of them since 1989. Now that I'm mostly bedbound and housebound from illness and disability, I have struggled a lot trying to find something to pass the sleepless nights. This has been such an amazing experience. But I get more caught up in what everyone else is doing!
Just like another girl commented, I myself didn't think this would work at first. You definitely showed how layering truly gets the job done and there's no perfect way (even holding a baby you can make it work) and you're only finished when YOU decide you're finished and happy with it.
Thank you so much for filming this! I am definitely a new subscriber and can't wait to check out your other videos. I was absolutely blown away by this project. It turned out beautiful and was so fun to watch! I have filled up and even added a bunch of pages to my first journal that isn't done yet by any means but I have surprised myself by how fat it's become. I also use Archer and Olive dot journals and have a black page one I thought I'd go through faster than this one. Goes to show!

So neat! The baby was a nice surprise!💙! And, you are the Bomb Mom....workin' with one hand & all!
But, what really blew my mind, (besides your tenacity when things weren't working), was how the blue Inca Gold made it truly look like a galaxy.😮 The transparency was perfect. It was slightly opaque, but still allowed the stars to shine through. I really, really love it!
