Those bounces off the cross bar let me know this was the Caps time. Many years before we always were on the receiving end along with the fact that this years Caps have bounced back from so many obstacles especially in the playoffs
As a Pens fan sucks to see Fluery lose but still glad to see the Caps take this one. They have been the top of our division for 3 years now I think and totally deserved it this year. Good to see Ovechkin finally get one. Now hopefully the team gets complacent and stops giving the Pens such a hard battle for next year's playoffs lol. Congrats Caps and your fans!!
If they keep their major pieces and Trotz - they are going for a repeat. The team is built for a championship and a "road warrior" model - 10 wins on the road in the playoffs!
I'm not concerned with that yet, I'm just trying to enjoy the moment because I don't know if it will ever happen again in my lifetime.
rockvilleraven well after watching the onslaught of shots and trick shots the pens put on Holtby and he was just a brick wall. And watching TJ Oshie battle with the puck and be super physical to set up plays... they looked great but after these wins sometimes teams get picked apart (which is what I'm hoping for lol ) bit if the players that are able to leave decide to stay and make another run and no key players get traded. You have another solid chance.

Native Washingtonian here and a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Although I’m not that big of a hockey fan, I’m happy the home team caps won a championship for the first time in their history and the first DC championship in about 22 years. I was at the watch party here in dc and it was absolutely LIT! Great to be around all caps fans to celebrate!
