There is no recovery, every month is a regression for many. What is the point of calling it a regression and why not just say you will most likely not sleep so save for a nanny or beg a family member or partner to help you…yes i am bitter which is what happens when you do everything and don’t get enough sleep for eight months.
I know that's what it can feel like! One big sleep regression! the reality is that our babies constantly change! There is also a phenomenal amount of change from when they are newborn in the first 2 years. Your mantra is this to shall pass! Sleep deprivation is no joke. Hang in there! You're doing amazing x
Mine is 8 months old now and she has been through 3 sleep regressions. I have been sleep training her and honeslty it has really helped me through. Although its still hard I think it would be alot much worse if I hadnt sleep trained her. This has helped me get through anyway, knowing that it will be over soon and back into sleeping routine wont take as long. This is what has worked for me anyway. Hope you find something to help you.
Can early bedtime really help baby to sleep longer until 6/6.30am? What if my LO doesn't sleep that long even at 7.5 month old? She's taking only 10/11 hours and sometimes ready to start the day at 5am 😢. And to increase calories during the day, is it okay to give my LO more solids than milk if she is refusing the milk at 7.5 month? I tried reducing the solid now to make her drink more milk but she doesn't. She's on 3 meals and taking only at most 650ml milk per day. So far no need to give her milk overnight and i hope keep this going.
My baby is 8 months old and he has not been a good sleeper. It’s very difficult for me! He wakes every 1hr-1.5hrs. I’ve been to sleep school it was helpful and we’ve continued the same pattern. However, he’s still waking all the time 😭. Are there any other mums going through this? I feel so alone
Sleep deprivation is no joke! I promise that you're not alone! If you haven't already, I have lots of free sleep resources that can help your little one with better sleep, and if you're considering sleep training, I have age-appropriate sleep programs that can help you with supporting your little one with better sleep. Hang in there x
I’m going through the exact same thing. He hasn’t slept through the night since birth. Waking every hour sometimes every 30 min 😫. Good luck momma I hope your little guy starts giving you the rest you deserve.
Thank you for this video!!!!! We are really going through this. Will extra snuggles and comfort ruin all progress made if the usual check ins aren’t working anymore?
Hi Jenna, I’m so thrilled you found this helpful! Your little one will most likely need extra snuggles and comfort if they are going through separation anxiety. Creating a really strong attachment is super important. If your little one is self-settling, you want to avoid reverting to putting your little one all the way back to sleep, to avoid new habits being formed. Remember this is temporary and this too shall pass x
Very helpful video, thank you very much! We are going thru this as well, our baby is sleeping in my arms and stroller but as soon as we put him in his crib, he cries

Couldn’t agree more. I wish we just focused on having help in hand before baby arrived.
