    I didn't know this was even a thing. My daughter slept through the night for so long, and then BAM - she could wake up and cry 10 times within ONE hour... This started a week ago, and she is 6 months and 3 weeks old. Also, she really struggles to get any sleep after 5 in the morning. She cries and turns from side to side non stop. Napping during the day is also harder, but she actually has only had 30-minute naps for quite a while. Hope it will pass soon!

    • @BabySleepTeam
      @BabySleepTeam 2 месяца назад

      Hi Brooke! When babies are fed to sleep, many babies (after going through the 4 month sleep regression) often develop a feed to sleep association and when they wake up after going through a sleep cycle, they look to be fed to sleep to fall back to sleep.

    There is no recovery, every month is a regression for many. What is the point of calling it a regression and why not just say you will most likely not sleep so save for a nanny or beg a family member or partner to help you…yes i am bitter which is what happens when you do everything and don’t get enough sleep for eight months.

    Hi! I'm a mom who struggles with a fussy, and really needy babygirl!. So the drowsy but awake does work. At first I said, no because I would hear my baby make noises. But, thing is there is a thing called active sleeping. After a good feed baby will yawn which indicates sleepy / tired. Rock them till their eyes start to roll back or till baby starts to dose off. Then place them down. They may wake up but it's okay do the shh shh sound and maybe place your hand on their tummy. If they're still awake. DO NOT pick them up. If you have a dark room, just leave them on the crib. The baby will self soothe to sleep. YES, THEY WILL MAKE AWAKE SOUNDS BUT IT SHOULD GO AWAY since they will go to sleep. They may sounds awake too if they sleep and wake up. Only get your baby if the baby really starts to cry. Sometimes we confuse a baby actually being awake vs active sleep. I've watched videos and I've barely started to get a hang of it since yesterday!!! But it works trust me! Just gotta keep doing it till baby gets a hang of it. If she cries and cries non stop without breaks I would pick her up and try rocking her with some music in the background or shh shh or humming/ singing. And keep doing till baby get the hang of it. ❤

    Do babies eventually learn to fall asleep by their own after using this technique for a while?

    • @BabySleepTeam
      @BabySleepTeam Год назад

      Hi there, it really depends on your baby's temperament and if the settling technique compliments their temperament. Some babies love this technique and can settle relatively easily while others resist the technique and will arch their back. The other part that will impact your little one's settling is the timing of their naps as if they are over or under tired, this can impact their ability to settle well.

    First time mum here 😊My baby is comming up 18months soon and he has been sleeping through the night for a long time now. He can self soothe and usually sleeps from 7.30-7.30. Has 1 day nap that lasts for a couple of hours. (11.30/12.00-1.30-2.30) however wakes up hysterical because he's legs are getting jammed between the bars on his cot and his legs are getting too chubby to pull out himself (I'm assuming his legs are getting caught when he's asleep) what should I do to help him ? Is it best to think about transitioning to his toddler bed or are there other options?

    • @BabySleepTeam
      @BabySleepTeam Год назад

      Hi Sam! Does your toddler wear a sleep sack? This can help let’s from getting trapped in the bars. I always recommend to keep your little one in their crib until at least 2.5-3 years old if you can as developmentally, although some toddlers transition earlier totally fine, for many others, it often coincides with either the 18 month sleep regression or 2 year old sleep regression and wreck havoc on their sleep as for many toddlers they don’t yet have the ability to know how to stay in their bed x

He started showing his changes in the 5th month, and still he is fighting for his sleep. Day time we put him in cradle and night we used to put him in bed once he gets a deep sleep in the cradle. But even though he used to wake for 3-4 times for feed. We are using whitenoise for a longer time but it's not helping right now. Now he go for a 1-2 hr nap in the day time, may be 2-3 times. But in the night, I could see his difficulties in falling asleep. Tried many ways, but none of them are helpful now!

      Hi there, personally I like to recommend naps and night at the same time. You're gently teaching your little one to fall asleep on their own. At this age, it is still normal and common for babies to wake up for a feed. If our babies are hungry, they need to be fed :) But you will just no longer be feeding them to sleep. You would simply settle them to sleep using your preferred settling method. :)

      Hi Jaspreet, sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with your little one's sleep. If your little one is a super light sleeper, if you haven't yet introduced white noise, that is great to help mask outside noises. Short naps are also super common for babies up to 5-6 months of age. If your little one is 5 months, we do have an online sleep program which covers absolutely everything you need to get your little one sleeping well. It's for babies between 5-18 months. There are also multiple settling techniques included ranging from gentle to intermediate so you can choose which one will suit your little one's temperament and your family the best. You can find the details here: www.babysleepteam.com/enroll Hopefully this helps :)

    great Info! do you have the little grounders? I have never seen them in use before, because the site that makes them doesn't share any info or videos on how they work. if you could share if you have them, that would be great! Thanks!

      Thanks so much for your comment :) I haven't been able to find any video footage to show how they actually work. It is good feedback for the company :)

      Have you tried an alternative swaddle such as the Love to Dream? It has a zip up the front which is an excellent option if you want an alternative to a blanket :)

    Do you burp after a dream feed?

      Yes, it's a good idea to try and burp your little one after their dream feed. It can help to avoid gas or spit up. If you can't get a burp after a few minutes however, don't worry! :)

    Is this your first year expericing daylight savings with a baby? Or if not, how have you found the adjustment in the past?
