I LOVE Joxer. His loyalty and love for Xena and Gabrielle runs so deep. I think fans forget just how much he is family to them. Also, he is with them in every incarnation. That says something
Joxer is my boy. After Joxer died his son ask Xena if all the stories That his dad told him about his adventures were true. Basically Joxer kinda Twisted the truth to make himself look like a hero infront of his son. Xena told him that it's all true and he was a great warrior. Now that's loyalty to your friends
In some ways, Joxer was a hero. He was brave and just and he cared deeply about his friends. He wasn't physically gifted as a fighter, and that's an understatement, but he did have the heart of a true hero.
I love the fact that he started as just a comic relief character, but became such an integral part of Xena and Gabriel's life, that he's part of their cycle of reincarnation.
Joxer always the friend💗 Took the ladies off their crosses and tried to bring their bodies home, saved Argo from Xellisto, fought Callisto several times, trusted to guard the Hind’s Blood dagger, and dies trying to save Gabrielle. Joxer became the hero he never thought he could be, and he died a hero. Love him so much!💗
I absolutely love this episode! I love that Joxer kept Xena and Gabrielle's legacy and memory alive for so long, and took care of Argo (and her daughter) and the scrolls in their absence. Gotta love that he basically ran an ancient Greece version of Planet Hollywood too, LOL. And Virgil is gorgeous!
Xena & Gabrielle were surprised that not only Joxer got his own restaurant but he married Meg, one of Xena's doppelgangers and became a father. Good that he told his son a lot abut those 2 women after he thought they were gone.
Has anyone ever noticed that technically Joxer is soulmates with Xena and Gabrielle too? Love his character so much, in the end he deserved so much more. Easily had one of the bravest, selfless hearts on the show. ❤
The three are definitely a team. We see them together in practically every incarnation- ancient Greece, the 1940s, the Sovereign's universe on Hercules, the 1990s with Harry/Mattie/Annie, and Caesar's alternate universe. There has to be something there that they keep ending up together.
Joxer is the only character that didn't feel like a third wheel when he joined Xena and Gabrielle and that takes a special person not many people are accepted by fans into Xena and Gabrielle's relationship
Funny, because people HATED Joxer for a long time. He got a ton of hate mail. Personally I liked him though, check out the episode when he actually becomes Joxer the Mighty.

The best thing for me is that it's been so long that I've actually forgotten most of these episodes so I'll be watching them again for the first time 😁👍
I still remember the start of the last episode with Old Man Joxer and thinking "what the h happened?" Also Meg aged really well considering she's most likely in her late 50s to early 60s and after at least 5 kids
First time seeing this episode, as soon as Joxer recognized Gabrielle, I fell in tears of sadness. Sorry, I'm a sucker for these happy moments. This reunion, after 25 years of not knowing what happened to them, I can't imagine how Joxer felt. Overwhelmed is an understatement here. Loved this scene. Still do. ❤
My God....It's like they opened a portal, reached in and pulled back todays lucy lawless for that future scene.....well the rosanne barr version of lawless that is. LOL
So happy that xena and Gabrielle are reunite with joker who is a good loyal friend and definitely give them a big t hug and site down with them and tell them what happened after they die
How much more are our beloved girls going to go through. Tgid episode was so emotional. I loved the trip down memory lane with xena and gab. Broke my heart when I found out argo had passed. So many emotions in this episode. It still is so emotive. I know xenas all about finding eve but I felt sorry for gab a little bit in this episode. I'm still in love with xena and gab after all these years still.
Kinda says something that Joxer's *immediate* reaction was to greet them as the real thing despite thinking they were dead, never once considering they might just be lookalikes, or everyone else;s 'And who are you, again?' reaction..(Including Meg's). Also something to consider..Joxer obviously knocked boots with Meg at some point..so even if he didn't end up with Gabrielle like he originally wanted, he still 'won'...
Xena and Gabrielle were so lucky to have Joxer in their life. If it wasn’t for him Argo would’ve never been looked after and Xena would’ve never been able to own her daughter
Remember when Joxer first met Americe at their crucifixion. He told her "I'm their BEST FRIEND." I was watching that episode as it premiered and got majorly choked up.
They Made Ted Raimi Look old but it was Just Saul make up which was so amazing because he is Sam’s brother but in the show is Xena he played a dorky Warrior

Once this was no longer possible I finally started liking him. Too late I guess. Liked Virgil well enough. He wasn't always the sharpest, but he wasn't an idiot.
Seriously why everyone after the timeskip completely forgot about Hercules and Iolaus? Where the hell did they disappear to? Ok Iolaus had probably aged like Joxer but Hercules is immortal, he should still be around. How didn't Hercules notice Livia being a threat to everyone? It wasn't necessary to bring back Kevin Sorbo for Xena's 6th season, an explanation for what happened to Hercules during the timeskip would be just fine. Wouldn't Hercules be aware of Ares manipulating Livia?
@UC-wxOVUonDALmhzDHINB6nQ Hercules still takes place in the same universe as Xena, Xena is still Hercules' spin-off and Hercules is still the other main hero of the Xenaverse along with Xena so the disappearance of one of these two heroes is a big deal, and no my preference has nothing to do with it, if the reverse happened (Xena disappearing instead of Hercules) I'd question it just the same. As of why didn't Xena and Gabrielle help Hercules defeat Dahak, they were considered at first but eventually they were scrapped in favor of Morrigan and Nebula, however their involvement with Dahak was referenced by Hercules as he knew that Ares joined forces with Dahak and he was aware that Dahak was behind the "evil" that sent Callisto back in time to kill his mother (Hope).

Reminds me of the episode where Joxer got jumped and they went after the casino that did it.
To this day, Joxer the Mighty still runs in my head.
I bought ALL of each Soundtrack. All 7 CD's. Season 2's CD had a whole chorus of the full version called "The Ballad of Joxer the Mighty"
