      The meaning of life is our relationship with God. These four steps are the key to getting a Divine Revelation directly from him. They are something you'd eventually do if you took God seriously enough to read the Bible, while implementing its teachings. They are, forgive your parents, break down before Jesus, ask for forgiveness, and read three books of the Bible. Step four requires the first book of each testament, and one you chose yourself. The order is actually important. The steps build on each other. Each one primes your soul for the next. To be forgiven we must forgive. Mathew 6: 14-15. That's why forgiving others has to come before asking for forgiveness. Jesus will not forgive you until you've at least done the bare minimum, our parents. They're supposed to be easiest to forgive, because they've fed, housed, loved us to some degree. Our problems with them are supposed to represent our problems with God. This is why the bare minimum to receive the revelation is our parents. You'll still have to forgive everyone though, but that comes much easier after meeting God. I'm extremely serious and very literal. I'm not talking about signs, nor feelings, nor prayer. It's an actual literal pulled out of your body direct one on one conversation, nothing you can miss. nor misinterpretae. The vast majority of christans never bother to do what God wants seriously, so most never get this revelation. To most outside church their Bible is a paper weight, or at best a virtue signal. Their religion is in what other people think about them, not their relationship with God. Please do those steps I mentioned, there really is a Divine Revelation waiting for all of us. There's extraordinarlly important information we all desperately need in this revelation, but those who get it are forbidden to share it. The Truth that Jesus Christ is Lord is written on every human heart. We all have that knowledge inside us, but we bury it under mountains of pain and anger. Those steps clear away that garbage inside you, letting God heal you, so that his words boom clearly inside your soul. The entire point of our existence here is to Trust God enough that we pay him this mustard seed of Faith, so his Grace can remove the stain sin has left on our souls. Everyone that does not get this Grace is not forgiven of any of their sins, even if they turned around and we're the best person from 25 to death. Without Grace those first sins are still counted against you, tying you to the devil's punishment. It's not about being a good person, It's about being forgiven for when you weren't. The Bible is Truth. Please do those steps and see for yourself. Please take your salvation seriously"

    The saddest part about this scene was Xena never told Solan she was his mother and she finally said "momma's here, just like you always wanted." when he died. This was one of the best episodes of the series.

      @Bardim18 4 года назад +44

      Later episodes revealed that Alti cursed Solan to never know the love of either of his parents because Xena betrayed her, and the curse worked. Borias, Solan's father was killed in battle the same time Solan was born and Xena gave Solan away to Kaleipus and never had a chance to tell him she was his mother. Solan died without ever meeting his father or knowing that Xena was his mother.

      Your reaction is too primitive, in fact, Gabrielle is not to blame for what happened to Xena's son, Xena received an answer from fate, she deprived Calisto of her family and paid for it, she experienced the pain of loss herself. And Gabrielle just protected her child like any mother in her place, Xena in the fifth season was also unable to kill her daughter, and as a result, her daughter Eva killed many people and even their friend Joxor. So your hatred of Gabrielle is just out of stupidity and prejudice. Xena couldn't kill her daughter either, because that's just not possible for a mother.

    This episode was so messed up in so many ways. From Gabrielle's daughter killing Xena's son, Callisto taking in Xena's scream with pleasure when she heard her crying over Solan's death, Gabrielle poisoning Hope in the end because she realized what she was, and that end scene where Xena told Gabrielle it was all her fault Solan died. Man, the writers really did this episode to the fullest. Lucy Lawless and Renee O' Connor really showed how great of actresses they were in this episode. It was painful to watch. And obviously, the most memorable episode of the series from my childhood.😂

      Technically most, if not all of season 3 is Gabrielle’s fault. The whole rift started because Gabrielle was jealous of the fact that Xena might’ve loved someone else (Lao Ma) more than her. The Debts I and II started all this.

    • @rpgadventurer32
      @rpgadventurer32 2 года назад +5

      It wasn't ahead of its time, it was exactly of its time and reflective of the decade, the show was a reflection of 1995 and onward though it's true that you don't really see these kind of teenagers/early 20's type of shows anymore, and CW produced shows of today are very safe in comparison. In the 2000's and 2010's you either had the peak tv quality for adults - GOT, Breaking bad , Sopranos type of shows - that are considered part of the new Golden era of tv of the 2000's and 2010's or rather safe and mediocre productions with exceptions here and there. Xena was a perfect mid type of a show for the young tv viewing audience of back then and i grew up in the 90's and on that show and other typical modern 90's shows. The 90's were full of unique tv shows and groundbreaking themes that hold on to this day - take Nikita for example both the movie and tv show, or DS9, or ER, or Buffy, or Ellen, or twin peaks etc...or many other shows that were both groundbreaking and reflective of that decade. I feel like our entertainment industry actually regressed in some ways while advancing technically.

      & Callisto's evil joy in causing Solan's death was most likely why Callisto ended up in Hell after her death. True, Xena killed Callisto's family & Callisto had the right to be furious at Xena for that. Still, Xena chose to change her evil ways & Callisto could've seen this change, dropped the grudge & the hatred, forgave Xena & joined the good side with Xena, but she didn't & ended up in a place worse than Tartarus. Though I do like how Xena gave herself up to save Callisto from Hell in the end & Callisto chose to put on humanity again as Xena's new daughter Eve.

      You are biased and unfair to Gabrielle. Xena is also to blame, it was her fault that Gabrielle gave birth to a daughter, Xena was driven by hatred for Caesar, and the evil god fed on this, Gabrielle would not have given birth to a daughter if Xena had not succumbed to her hatred and would not have brought Gabrielle to the temple where she was sacrificed to the evil God. Gabrielle did not betray Xena, she only wanted to protect her daughter, this is normal behavior of a mother, later in the sixth season Xena will also protect her daughter, who grew up a monster and killed many people, even their friend, but Gabriel will not turn away from Xena, but will support her.

It was also the first time I struggled with whether I loved Gabrielle or hated her. I wanted to feel bad for her but I understood why Xena was so so upset with her. I can’t blame Xena but I can’t entirely blame Gabrielle even though ultimately it was because of her naïveté that Solan was killed. This is still a scene I struggle with because I don’t want to be angry with Gabrielle. I’m definitely not with Xena. I’m sad for her but my anger wants to be placed on someone I don’t know if I can. I wonder if this is what the writes wanted the audience to feel. Maybe this is how Xena felt. Wanting to be angry at someone she trusted who was the reason her son died but not being able to fully do that. Ouch. Right in the feels.

      She loved her child as any mother would? Women of rape can justify loving their child borne of violent assault by claiming it's THEIR CHILD. I think that's what Gabrielle did. She was a very young adult, who'd killed, was raped and had to give birth in a matter of days. Her coping mechanism wasn't logical, it was emotional. That's what Xena didn't get. Xena just saw it as the spawn of Hell, and Gabrielle like any mother was trying to save her daughter first.
      The really, sad thing is. Gabrielle would do the same thing again if she had to choose. Her love for Hope was pure. At the core of it, Gabrielle's choices were consistent with who she was.

      @@Bardim18 But like I said Gabrielle's decisions came from an emotional place and not a logical one. It takes alot for a mother's instinct/love to overriden by a gut instinct. It's why mothers of sociopaths and psychopaths can be 'blind' to the reality of their child's nature. It's not because they're stupid, but their maternal instinct is so dominant in most situations. Especially, extreme ones like this. I guess at the end of it, the purest form of love and protectivess turned out to be that of mothers on the show.

    I feel terrible for Xena. She doesn't deserve this agony of losing her son. I feel sorry for Gabrielle. She intended to try to do what any mother would do and that is to protect her child. The analysis I've learned from this situation is Gabrielle's love for life and nature has been used against her when it came to Hope. Gabrielle didn't want to believe Hope was naturally evil. Xena tried to warn her. What was not fair is Dahak tampered with an innocent life and manipulated evil in the form of what was supposed to be an innocent baby. I understand the pain Xena experienced and how much it destroyed her. Gabrielle unintentionally caused Solan's death to where it nearly destroyed her friendship with Xena until forgiveness and love found its way. For Callisto to relish Xena's apoplectic screams of losing her son, she deserved to have a score settled from Xena.

    This episode hurt so much. If everything ends when the show reaches its end... it's entertaining at the most. When you remember and feel it well beyond its conclusion... it's a masterpiece.
    I appreciated Gabrielle's statement that she were Hope's mother and couldn't kill her, and yet this sharply contrasts with Xena's loss. In this episode we feel for both of them. Gabrielle was most in the wrong but we can appreciate how strongly her feelings were for Hope. At the end when she finally did the deed, we realize how much guilt she carried. Killing Hope had to have been the worst thing, but she understood Xena's torment... enough to do what she knew was right.
    Everyone suffered in this episode. Even Callisto didn't enjoy this, as she later admitted. Death is never the answer, life is.
