- In this catch and cook fishing video we went to Walmart and got a catch and cook fishing kit and then went livebait fishing with it! This is actually my first catch and cook fishing video! Try breading it next time and deep frying. Next to breaded and deep fried trout, Deep fried and breaded Crappie is the shizzy with some Hush puppies and french fries. YUM! Great video though Lojo and my boys and i have the same lews rod n reel and those babies are smooth.

The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel ruclips.net/user/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

My mom has to use those plastic utencils because she was diagnosed with colon and lung cancer and the chemo that she takes makes all the metal utencils leave a metal taste in her mouth. But anyway she loves those things. She takes them everywhere. She's having her surgery tomorrow to remove the tumor from her colon (July 26th, 2019) so Prayers and/or good vibes for my mom in the morning! Enjoyed your video bro! Love the catch and cook. Do it all the time with my buddies when we catch panfish. You will definitely want to carry a filet board with a clamp when you do this again. Makes it easier and cleaner. Great job!

If you like spicy then take your fillets and dredge them in Frank's Red Hot sauce then take the fillets and dredge them in flour with salt and pepper and fry them up in some oil. The best seasoning for crappie is lemon pepper, garlic, and any type of light all purpose seasoning. Cook in garlic butter. You guys should ask Juan Carlos for the ceviche recipe. That stuff is banging. Keep up the good work, love your guys videos.

What's up with Norm and the long sleeves. Catch and cook are always super fun. Bluegill salted on the charcoal grill are AMAZING. Aluminum foil is a general need. Lemon Pepper is always a great choice for 99% of fish species for seasoning.

For your next catch and cook I would recommend some Ole Bay seasoning. Stuff is great for seafood. Some saltines to go with it and maybe a cedar plank to cook the fish on if you like that flavor.
