Ron, set your B6 to LiHV, not LiPo. That will get you to 11.4 for a 3s battery. Also, you should never let those banana plugs dangle free. They should be plugged in first. In the second half of your video I was cringing as you came very close to dead-shorting your battery when the connectors almost touched before you plugged them in. This could be very nasty with a LiHV battery.
Thanks Thomas, I will try to do an update to the video showing the LiHV setting. But since the battery is marked LiPo on the back, how would you know to change it to LiHV?
@@RonaldBrown59 The voltage. 11.4 is a LiHV voltage for 3 cells. If it were plain LiPo, it would be less. Also LiHV is Lithium Polymer High Voltage. So Hubsan marking it LiPo (as its chemical makeup) is not incorrect.
@@IdahoQuadcopter you need to update the firmware. If you don't have a genuine one you might not be able to. I have a genuine SkyRC and it has the LiVH balance mode.
@@BassManStrikes Thank you! I'm quite sure mine is a knock off. (Thank you Banggood) Honestly I'm not worried about it. I'll just use the Hubsan charger. It takes a little longer, but it works. 👍
When you get your Zino, I would love to see you make a video using the Imax to charge the battery. I'm sure you would do a much better job than I did with this video. I've been meaning to do a update to this video, but I never seem to get around to it.
@@RonaldBrown59 I can do that Ron though don't short change yourself! This video is very good. You just don't use your Imax often and wasn't that familiar with the settings. No biggie :) oh and you can charge the Zino battery at 6a too and charge or even faster.
The Zino batteries are LiHV ... Not LiPo ... If charged on LiPo they are actually undercharged. The same connector can be used on the Bebip Power Batteries that are also LiHV. The charger is great and charges the Zino battery to 13.05v.
@@camerontfreeman : If it were LiPo it would be 11.1v ... but it is 11.4v = LiHV. I use the imax b6 v2 hobby charger and a balance lead to charge... 3 cell Battery at 11.4v is LiHV. Zino is an awesome drone that I am considering on purchasing one day. The SkyRC is a great charger, I have one as well, and thanks for sharing the zino connection that I can use for charging.
One question please: Why do i have to modify the battery cable? Will be there any problem of i connect the battery cable to the balance charger directly? is it going to charge with no problems? Please explain to me in simple English because my mother tongue is not English. Thanks

Thumbs up ere' Ron, fellow Drone Seekers - many thanks for passing on the info about battery charging - most important - many thanks for sharing the info :)
It's a good battery mod for the little Zino. After all the video's Marcus and I have been pumping out on the Zino, have we got you interested in one yet?
I'm glad you enjoyed it Greg, and thanks for watching. It maybe be Spring now, but it still feels like winter here in NJ. So I'm still not flying much.
Thanks Marcus, I'm glad you found the video useful. Even though I didn't charge the battery correctly here. I look forward to you receiving the cables. I should probably do an update version of this video.
Great job brother Ron, and good to know. I was thinking about getting a Hubsan Zino for some time now, but i'm over here trying to break in my mavic pro, I know it's old, but it's my best drone I got up to date besides my spark and phantom 3. Keep up the great work brother like#23
Thanks for stopping by brother. The Zino is nice little GPS camera bird, but it's no Mavic. Congrats on getting your Mavic Pro, I didn't know you picked one up. You're really going to enjoy that one. I can't until you get that one in the air.
Thats a great idea using this after market cable Ron! Does the reduction of charge time also mean that you push more Amperage through the battery you wanne charge?
You also call the stock Zino charger as a balance charger, but mather fact, it is NOT a balance charger. And that should be the main concern about the stock Zino charger. You should replace the stock charger foremoust to get control of your battery charging...not to get faster charging only. With the stock charger, you have no control of the balance of the tree cells in the battery, and that is maybe the main reason why many Zinos drops to the ground. so this is to charge only one battery at a time, correct? or is there a way to charge more than one at a time(x3)?

wont the proprietary zino charging cable plug directly into a balance charger?
I guess it would, but without the banana style connectors this after markets cable offers, I don't think it would charge properly.
