    I’m not having any temp issues yet. Maybe it’ll blow warm when I accelerate for a brief second. It is however whining only when the ac is running and seems to increase in noise when I accelerate, when dipping down into lower rpms it’ll stop for a moment and start again. Would this be the compressor?

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  Год назад +1

      yea that could be a premature failure of the compressor. that was actually the issue with this one and we found metal on the accumulator once we removed it.

    Bro, I wish I could send you a pic of how my compressor looks.. it took a massive crap on my 17 Mustang GT… Do you suggest replacing expansion valve and dryer when doing the compressor also? I’ve had issues with my AC for the last 2 years.

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  Год назад +2

      I. would replace the dryer too I don't know if u saw in the video but the dryer I removed was heavy and had debris inside I belive from the compressor when it went bad. I would advise you to change dryer and expansion valve as a whole kit and the Autoparts will give you lifetime warranty doing it that way.

  • @ultradeafyoutube5562
    @ultradeafyoutube5562 Год назад +2

    Does the dryer have an orientation? I removed mine and it sounds like the "old" one in your video, the dessicant bag is audibly moving when I shake it. I cut it open out of curiosity and noticed looking from the inside that one of the inlet/outlet holes has a filter netting, and the other does not.

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  Год назад +1

      yea it has orientation if u put it on a different side it will hit on the plastic near it you will notice right away that it's not in the right position

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  11 месяцев назад +1

      I think it would be a bit different the vodoo gen 2 starts in 2019 and they redesigned alot of things. the only way to know is to talk to the ford dealership or the autozone parts

    I promise you he didn't put that in by him self it takes two people trust me it's a pain in the ass I rather take a whole engine apart before I do an AC on a 350 ford's bright idea they should have put a rubber sleeve I the bolts to hold them in place!!! Modular engines love them and hate them!!! Fyi you don't have to take all that stuff off just the reservoir and you don't have to cut the belt!! Just unbolt with the compressor ...

      Just replaced it all by myself, I had to tape down the bottom two bolts so they stayed in place while starting the top bolt. I did all that from the right tire as I don’t know how you would align it from the top if you can’t see the hole 😂

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  2 месяца назад

      i would say that one would be close to 880 or a bit more because your model uses the 1234y special freon and it needs a special machine to recover the ac and charge it if it was older it would have been like 500 bucks

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  Год назад

      yea actually. this car only had like 60k miles, and the ac compressor got destroyed internally, and we had to do a cleaning of the whole system for any debris in the lines.

    Ford just quoted me $2800 to replace the compressor on my V6 mustang. This will be the third time they’re replacing the compressor. The first two was under warranty. I told them it’s gonna the evaporator core which is a known problem. Shouldn’t have to replace a compressor every 2-3 years. Im gonna find a shop manual and do the job myself. $2800 just to replace the compressor is a huge ripoff to me.

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  7 месяцев назад +1

      omg that is insane for this job was about 1200 with labor and parts. if the accumulator was not replaced it could have been clogged and that makes the compressor work in stress alot more
