Driving around Thailand on a bike is the most rewarding thing to do.Keeping in mind that there always Thai people come to your resque.Myself run out of gasoline at 23:45 in the night on a road in the middle of nowhere.Pushed my bike couple of minutes till i saw a light beside the road.Thai people cut rubber trees and asked me wath happened. The suck out gasoline from one of there bikes and give me a leo beer bottle full of gasoline at no cost. They saved me from sleeping in the woods.
Take care Paddy, everything going to be fine and i wish you a nice journey ahead.

It is not possible to watch a Paddy Doyle video without feeling happier than before! I can't imagine strangers being so kind! In America I would not touch a farmer's corn for fear of being yelled at for trespassing. What an amazing difference. What a kind and peaceful culture. I leave America in 13 days and I am so excited to live in Thailand from now on! Thanks so much Paddy for showing me a gentler place to live.

Yes…sometimes we “farangs” get the wrong impression from the Thai con-men, hustlers, or poor customer service in BKK or the tourist towns such as Pattaya or Phuket. The foreigner definitely needs to hit the small towns, and rural areas of Thailand. Though there can be a language barrier, our few words of Thai & Google translate goes far in communicating.

Sorry Paddy a bit disrespectful about the bike, poor condition it may be but your riding it around, and having transport is better than none.

And as a person who knows exactly nothing about Thai culture, how would that feature be taken by the guy who lend him his bike? I’m sure there’s more to the story than Paddy could show us. And as the good guy he usually is, I’m sure he comes up with a good idea to express his gratitude.

The spired structure is "Viharn Kaew" meaning "Crystal sanctuary" in Thai. You should see the interior. Every walls, ceilings, and pillars inside are wholly covered with white mirror mosaics, making the place look like made from whole crystal when stand looking from the center. When the yellow lightings are lit the place looks even more miraculous. This crystal sanctuary was actually "finished" around 30 years ago after decades of construction that was extended indefinitely by low funds. All the initial craftworks were done by the locals and they grew and practiced until becoming skillful with them. The roads, the surrounding Buddha pavilions, and the additional exterior decorations and gardens were later constructed consequently each year of additional donations.

It is a 30yo bike the oil didn't leak out it burned off past the rings during those couple of high speed long distance days. The Honda dealer will fill oil as per the manual but the old village mechanics slightly overfill to compensate for the burn. Either way you are in for a 10-12k bht top end rebuild then it should be good as new ...don't ask how I know this but it does involve Khon Kaen to Bkk in a day on a 125cc....

My favourite thing about Thai people is how proud and generous they are. I'm disappointed to hear your opinion of the loan bike. Never look a gift horse in the mouth, those boys went way above the call of duty to help you out, and you should not be disrespecting them like that. If they won't take money, then do something else for them, please.

😊😊 I actually laughed by Paddy's ridicules on that shabby Yamaha. We usually don't mind things becoming old as long as they still work. But you guys Farangs maybe more meticulous in taking care of belongings and would expect, you may call us a bit careless which is true more or less, that's understandable. So don't worry guys, I believe the two guys will just laugh at it too like we usually do (weird but practically our things here!). About the help, here we say "No money, no problem. In trouble and no help, that's the real problem". I'm sure Paddy is familiar with that. He just fundraised helping people via his own perseverance and not by just sowing out his money which is quite extravagant.

Pollinate not germinate, but they do rhyme 😀. The tassels on the top of the corn drop pollen onto the silk that comes out of the cob. Each thread of silk hair is attached to a kernel of corn. That's all there is to the birds and the bees of corn. Interesting fact, there is always an even number of kernel rows produced on a cob. (lengthwise rows). We are glad to see you back on the road! I am a world traveler. I have lived & worked & travelled literally all over the world. I lived in Thailand in the 90s, working for an international advertising agency. It was one of many global postings I had. Thailand was, by far, my favorite place to have lived & worked, & also to have travelled. While Thailand is a majestically beautiful country, her people are by far her best & most shining asset. I agree with the poster below who said this video showcases the beauty of this country & her people. It is unmatched. I am fighting breast cancer right now & unable to travel. My prognosis is excellent, thanks be to God, & watching Paddy’s videos is keeping me happy these days & my husband & I plan to visit Thailand as soon as I am able. The place is "Viharn Kaew" meaning "Crystal sanctuary" in Thai.
