Beautiful song that I became aware of thanks to Spotify Weekly Mix, through the Song "Transmission for Jehn" Narrated by Tierney Malone I believe. Thank you for uploading the piece with just the banjo. Absolutely love the tempo you impart the song , as I believe you truly add the right ambience to this song the way you play it.
Nailed it! Such a beautiful, haunting, delicate song. Played SO well here..... proof of what a versatile instrument the banjo is. I am so thrilled to have found this on youtube. Made my night.
Impeccable sound and so delicate. Brave performance Geoffrey Muller. Congratulations! PS: I've discovered this song on the "Late Night Tales - Khruangbin" compilation album - it's the last song. Haunting and perfect sounding for ending an album.
Brilliant! I'm learning this on classical guitar. I've been listening to this piece with whatever instrument I could find on RUclips. Wow! You captured this one beautifully! Thanks...
Wow. I've been a fan of Satie for a long time, and I have to say I'm surprised how well this works on the banjo. I'm hoping this book you mention will see the light of day sooner than later. :)
This is great! From what it sounds like, you have a little bit of reverb on your banjo through a mic. I would maybe suggest adding a little bit of delay (through another pedal) if you are able to. It would help give the effect of using the sustain pedal on the piano. Best of luck!
Any way to get the tabs, i just started banjo, and ive had a fascination with the song for a long time. id love to pour an hours worth of the sands of my time down my fingers every day till i get this right
Thank you Khruangbin. 🌍

Beautiful! I was waiting for some improv, but Classical music has a purist nature to it.

I love Erik Satie and I love the banjo - marriage made in heaven. Beautifully played.
Excellent arrangement and performance!
This speaks to my soul.
Awesome 👍

A really good performance Geoffrey!
Oh the satisfaction of adding another like to a 0 dislike gem..
Go baby, go
I found you... finally
@vanNood glad you enjoyed it. I'm working on a book with 6 pieces by Satie, all in standard tuning
nice job. beautiful
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
So now I've finally found where the theme music for the movie "Chocolat" originated
Nice. I've always felt that some of Satie's pieces would work pretty well on banjo.
Thanks, well done. Is your arrangement available? I’ll check around but I’d love to steal it.
Wow...
please where can I find your book?? i love this so much.

It's taken me hours and hours....and hours....to learn this on the classical guitar. This piece on the banjo is simply amazing!
Hi Geoffrey, how is the book going? I really love this piece and would happily pay you for a copy of the tab for this alone or a whole book.

Hey y’all. No book still but if you want to learn my arrangement we can set up a video lesson
