It seems like this was written for koto. The scale fits, the phrasing fits, the mysterious and exotic melody. That hits the spot.
This is yet another haunting interpretation of the boundless possibilities in this piece
Why this doesn't have 100 mil views??? I got goosebumps listening to this interpretation
Because everyone else's watching a cat chase a ball of wool.... and LOVIN IT.
This simple and graceful masterpiece is off the charts
Bel arrangement, Satie, là haut doit être heureux d'entendre toutes ces variations sur sa gnossienne !
A very different arrangement, nicely done. The speed is just right. The difficulty of playing all these instruments in harmony takes a great deal of patience, experience, and tenacity. Thank you for sharing.
I didn't know, but actually needed this in my life. Thank you, youtube algorythm, very cool !
this songs tone fits the instrument so well it's unsettling.
This piece begs to be played on the Koto. Impressive to find such a nice recording of such a beautiful interpretation. Great sound and execution. The combination of fretless bass, vibraphone, flute, and Koto is so calming. The arrangement is so pleasing and calculated. There is a great deal of insights here.. so pleasing.
It's really soothing to this wonderful performance,
But
I feel a loneliness of a hundred years
What a Wonderful assembly giving freshness to a perennial
few souls understand satie. i love the instrument choice. it brings it to life in a different perspective. i wonder how fast or slow satie would play the same music today.
This is beautiful...
never expected Gnossienne 1 to sound this good on the Koto, such amazing emotions...
. . . nice version, the oriental feel is a perfect fit here. . . elegant. . . charming. . .
My goodness!! This is without a doubt one of the best pice of music ever, I just want to sit still and listen 🙏🥰🥰🥰
Glad I came across this. I just love this subtle and gentle interpretation- I’m so used to listening it in piano or violin form. The violin makes it incredibly sad. The piano is more “every day” but this, this is stunning and peaceful.
I am addicted to this piece of music.
Lost for words here!!
C'est beau ! I guess that is what comes to my mind. C'est juste beau.
May this new year coming as delicate, smooth, lovely as this. Une bonne année à tous.
I can also hear this with qanun and ney! Would be so similar yet different! I hope Turkish musicians try this!
Bravo! Amazing arrangement!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
Really magic.
This is ethereal ❤️
How lovely to have something original! M.M
Magical, ethereal and sublime version. Incredible. Thank you for you art!!!!
Best lovesong ever
Amazing rendition, I love it
Wish somebody would arrange the Gymnopedie No. 1 in an equally sensual, tasteful score.
wonderful, thank you
You inspired me with this performance to start playing classical music on my chromatic! I had to play in a higher register, though, as I have a 12 hole chromatic that is not a bass one. I think I could reach the lower register without a bass model if I had a 16 hole chromatic. I think someday, if I want to continue with classcial, that is what I'll have to get. Satie is just perfect for chromatic harmonica. The music is so soulful and melancholy, and that can be captured so well on a chromatic harp, espeically in a lower key. Thanks for the inspiriation! And thanks for the detailed notes for the performance, with the haromnicas used being detailed, and the keys, etc.
Lovely
Wowww! Sounds amazing! Thank you ❤
La magnificence !!!!!!

Absolutely incredible. A stunningly beautiful arrangement.🎶The music lends itself to the koto and the flute.❤Cape Town🇿🇦
Thank you so much.
This sounds amazing on the koto, sugoi!
Bellissima mi sta facendo piangere la delicatezza di questa musica
Nice idea, and good job.
Listening to this, i can see that Satie most certainly intended to set the Gnossienne for exactly this orchestration. :-) But where to buy a koto, back then? A Piano was easyly available (he had three pianos in his tiny appartment, the three instruments were litterally stacked upon each other. That is not a joke.
Beauuuutifull, sensual arrangement of this thoughtful piece of music. Congratulations.
Maravilhoso.
Vraiment manifique
Que belleza❤️
Ja so gehts auch..schön!
I'm gonna write this in Spanish because you deserve it: ¡qué hermosa y delicadísima música!

🥰
this is beautiful in a scary way. like a graveyard in a cold winter night. and if i ever met mr satie, i would immediately pull a gun ,and call for help. those eyes...
✨🧸✨
Ethereal.
Koto is very similar to Santoor
Please, where can I buy your music?
This piece is on my album "Debussy...". You can buy it on itunes, amazon etc. Also available on CD. Thank you for listening.
asian satie
beaucoup la massacre cette gnossienne, sans sa sobriété, elle perd son aura, son mysticisme.
bass player ruins it
