This performance is far more awesome than I expected , and perfectly embodies the aesthetic and intent and spirit of Gnossiennes
I loved the Trois Gnossiennes on the piano but when it's played on the flute and harp it gives it such a different feeling as if I'm wandering the forest in an elf's world.
Very true. I'm sitting outside listening now. It seems as if the trees are creating the music. It flows as the air through the leaves.

this really captures the spirit of the piece.. each performance is somewhat different because of the free time aspect of the song, and it's flowing time signature.. This is an absolutely beautiful rendering of the piece

The Gnossiennes don't sound right played on many instruments besides the piano, but the flute and harp do suit it...nice version!

Julie, do you play on a Brannen? I have a Brannen-Cooper I bought in 1985. Tone is eerily similar to mine.

I wish I could date a woman that played harp.
+Moses Saldana Do any men play the harp? There must be some I suppose, but I've never met one. Of all the orchestral instruments I know of, the harp is maybe the least gender-diverse. Though to be fair you don't see a lot of women playing the tuba I guess.
You would spend your time being her moving crew. I did a gig this Thursday & Friday at Baylor University in Waco. I was beat to death dragging that harp, stool, speaker, etc. I didn't realize how easy I had it being a wind player. Grab'n'Go.
