Buying fish that has been out in the heat all day is a good deal. Until tomorrow. For twice the price as you can buy them on this market I eat a fresh fish that is actually still alive when I order. But you need to drive a bit out of Pattaya.
Excellent video and video series idea, Greeny! Even if you you only film a week or two, seeing everyday life of a settled ex-pat will be more than interesting. Thanks for doing this! - Mark O (aka waverunner)
Nice driving range. I'm here back in the Matrix but I will be back in a few weeks. Leave it to Chris to violate the private beach sign 😂😂😂Tell Chris and Gary I'm missing Thailand already. See you guy soon. Great video.
As someone who plans on moving to Thailand and lives a pretty boring life myself I love this idea and will follow along. You do seem to have a fair amount of adventures so it can't all be boring😂. Life cant be exciting all the time no matter where you live.

I was kind of expecting a run down of monthly expenses (rent, electricity, water, phone, insurance, food, transportation, entertainment, etc.) but I guess that you will cover those eventually. Happy Travels!
My expenditures in Thailand run around 60,000 baht per month. It includes rent, moto, insurance, gym and entertainment up to 15K per months. But I am not drinker and not heavy eater. My weight gone from 188 lb when I arrived three months ago to 180 lb due to hot weather and some beach tennis.
greeny i spent 465 baht yesterday for lunch next to rural king... with the snow.., with the cold... my car starting a little wier......no use.... i'm on my way....
Greeny, how do you stay mobile? You mentioned buying furniture and washer/dryer. Do you sell it all when you move, or do you hire movers to move things around? Love your channel and videos.
I am going to be in Hua hin mid January for 4 days and then 16 in pattaya. I originally was going to do 8 days in pattaya and then I found out I would be checking out around Chinese new year I didn’t want to deal with finding another hotel or the traffic so I booked for 8 more nights.
Au Bon Pain's bagels are pretty good. They toast them but don't put any buttery coating on them. Not sure if they have them down by you but there are at least 2 locations, I think, in Pattaya including at Bangkok Hospital. Crystal hot sauce is good, but Frank's is much much better.
I'm interested in the cost of renting a place, how much the car and motorbike payments are, stuff like that. I know I can live cheaply from day to day, but its been 20 years since the last time I have been to Thailand, when I used to go a lot as I was stationed in Okinawa Japan.
There are perhaps 10000 videos on the cost of renting a place , car, motorbike in Pattaya and all other parts of Thailand. That may be an underestimate.
@@AcmeRocket Well I guess I have been watching these videos, and he said he was going to do a daily cost, well even if you own a place or have bought a car or motorbike, those are day to day costs as well, maintaining it, gas, all the other essentials, but thanks for letting me know you may have underestimated the amount of other videos there on here, appreciate it.
Liking the idea of the daily routine and what it cost for what you do. Hoping you made it to the fireworks festival and will be doing a flog on that? Oh and you go to the driving range out there but do you ever play a round of golf?
Yes I golf on occasion. My buddies go all the time. I considered the firework but heard ever road was deadlocked so I skipped it. Could see from my balcony. Looked the size of dines and quarters 😂
if you are tired after eating then you possibly are taking in too many carbs. I found that reducing carbs to around 15 percent of calories gives a brain and energy boost. Another string financial thing is that even at passive income of 10k per month you cannot live well in a few states in the usa. Just an observation. thank god the tax cuts are not going to be repealed. thanks for the video. play some tennis for longevity.
Speaking of being lazy (me in this case), would you mind putting the total daily spend at the end if it's not too much trouble in future vlogs of this series? Thanks
If you stay more then 180 days in one calendar year, you have to pay Thai income tax on savings, 401K, pension or any other type of income / money you bring into the country, add 15% to 37% (depends on your tax bracket) to your monthly budget, no tax on USA social security - Do a video on the Thai tax issues for retirement ex pats.
I’m no expert on that. I’ve seen a few people talk about it. Always conflicting opinions. Fortunately for me it doesn’t affect me. I have the LTR visa which make me exempt from the current scheme
Extra videos this month, because you tube pays the most money this month. Are you capable of being straight with us just once??? Mind you you are an ex cop, so lies come naturally I guess 😂
I’ll let you know if I make more. The money is here or there. I really want to get over the 40k sub mark before the end of the year. My goal was 50k but I’m falling short
I'd love to try it problem is the flights are so damn expensive from Canada. And I'm only 56 I'd have to wait till I'm 65 because I physically just don't have the capital to do it now

Thanks. I hope thinking of new ideas will keep me motivated
Does thailand have happy hour drink specials, early bird restaurant specials, senior discounts?
I was kind of expecting a run down of monthly expenses (rent, electricity, water, phone, insurance, food, transportation, entertainment, etc.) but I guess that you will cover those eventually. Happy Travels!
We will. As we get there day by day. Now you have to watch every episode 😆
Thumbs up 👍 Greeny
Thank you!!
The prices for coffee/bagel is about the same price here in the US at Duncan Donuts (now just called Duncan for whatever reason).
Yea. Funny though Starbucks like double

I cut videos too, maybe 20 years ago. Its a lot of work but I liked it. What software do you use for cut videos?
Hello Brian. Ok here I wll get answers for my questions I hope. Im ordinary man living ordinar life in Slovakia before Czechoslovakia.
Cafe Amazon? With all the great coffee shops around you go to Cafe Amazon???
I like it. It makes my steps almost exactly 10k when I walk there. Don’t worry I hit plenty of cafes when I’m driving around

I like the fake Slayer interlude music. Gets the blood flowing.
lol. It try to mix the tunes up. With I could use some real Slayer or Mettalica
I thought all beaches in Thailand were public. That topic came up in the news last year in phuket and hua hin.
Yea. Us too. Thats why I was being so sarcastic about it. Maybe down at the water a certain amount of meters is public
Did you bring your clubs with you to Thailand or buy them there?
I bought a set in the IS and brought the on a trip home

I think it was actually for a restaurant or beach club. Obviously you can still walk on the beach near the water.
