    Buying fish that has been out in the heat all day is a good deal. Until tomorrow. For twice the price as you can buy them on this market I eat a fresh fish that is actually still alive when I order. But you need to drive a bit out of Pattaya.

    As someone who plans on moving to Thailand and lives a pretty boring life myself I love this idea and will follow along. You do seem to have a fair amount of adventures so it can't all be boring😂. Life cant be exciting all the time no matter where you live.

    I was kind of expecting a run down of monthly expenses (rent, electricity, water, phone, insurance, food, transportation, entertainment, etc.) but I guess that you will cover those eventually. Happy Travels!

    The prices for coffee/bagel is about the same price here in the US at Duncan Donuts (now just called Duncan for whatever reason).

    My expenditures in Thailand run around 60,000 baht per month. It includes rent, moto, insurance, gym and entertainment up to 15K per months. But I am not drinker and not heavy eater. My weight gone from 188 lb when I arrived three months ago to 180 lb due to hot weather and some beach tennis.

    Greeny, how do you stay mobile? You mentioned buying furniture and washer/dryer. Do you sell it all when you move, or do you hire movers to move things around? Love your channel and videos.

      I am going to be in Hua hin mid January for 4 days and then 16 in pattaya. I originally was going to do 8 days in pattaya and then I found out I would be checking out around Chinese new year I didn’t want to deal with finding another hotel or the traffic so I booked for 8 more nights.

    Au Bon Pain's bagels are pretty good. They toast them but don't put any buttery coating on them. Not sure if they have them down by you but there are at least 2 locations, I think, in Pattaya including at Bangkok Hospital.
    Crystal hot sauce is good, but Frank's is much much better.

    I'm interested in the cost of renting a place, how much the car and motorbike payments are, stuff like that. I know I can live cheaply from day to day, but its been 20 years since the last time I have been to Thailand, when I used to go a lot as I was stationed in Okinawa Japan.

      There are perhaps 10000 videos on the cost of renting a place , car, motorbike in Pattaya and all other parts of Thailand. That may be an underestimate.

      @@AcmeRocket Well I guess I have been watching these videos, and he said he was going to do a daily cost, well even if you own a place or have bought a car or motorbike, those are day to day costs as well, maintaining it, gas, all the other essentials, but thanks for letting me know you may have underestimated the amount of other videos there on here, appreciate it.

    Liking the idea of the daily routine and what it cost for what you do. Hoping you made it to the fireworks festival and will be doing a flog on that? Oh and you go to the driving range out there but do you ever play a round of golf?

      Yes I golf on occasion. My buddies go all the time. I considered the firework but heard ever road was deadlocked so I skipped it. Could see from my balcony. Looked the size of dines and quarters 😂

    if you are tired after eating then you possibly are taking in too many carbs. I found that reducing carbs to around 15 percent of calories gives a brain and energy boost. Another string financial thing is that even at passive income of 10k per month you cannot live well in a few states in the usa. Just an observation. thank god the tax cuts are not going to be repealed. thanks for the video. play some tennis for longevity.

    If you stay more then 180 days in one calendar year, you have to pay Thai income tax on savings, 401K, pension or any other type of income / money you bring into the country, add 15% to 37% (depends on your tax bracket) to your monthly budget, no tax on USA social security - Do a video on the Thai tax issues for retirement ex pats.

      I’m no expert on that. I’ve seen a few people talk about it. Always conflicting opinions. Fortunately for me it doesn’t affect me. I have the LTR visa which make me exempt from the current scheme
