Thank you for all the likes and view. I am really glad you enjoy the video. I am very happy in Pattaya. My living expenses in Thailand are. 1. Housing - Condo that is a five-minute drive to the beach, the rent is $207 + elec & water $40 = $247/month, (I have a video of the Condo) 2. Food - I eat out all the time - $360 (shrimp fried rice with vegetables and an egg = $2.05) 3. Vehicle - 2022 Honda ADV 150 rental - $160 4. Debts - I do not pay others for money I do not have. 5. Care - Hair cut -$3, other stuff - $20 6. Insurance - Health $145 (I am over 60) $250,000 policy 7. No pets 8. $25 - googel phone 9. Gas - I fill up about once every 3-4 weeks Scooter $20 10. Sevices - $20 Total = $1,000, I live in Pattaya Thailand I did not include entertainment. You live next to the beach; you can get a beer in a bar on the beach for $2.50. PS I paid $2,600 for my Custom Lamborgini Orange Honda ADV 150, so I do not have a scooter Payment. You can buy a condo like mine for $30,000. If you take the condo and scooter price out it is Total = $593
Fantastic video mate cheers from kangaroo 🦘 land ..iv just subscribed to your channel..can i have the name of the condo please as I will be in Pattaya next month cheers
For the money, it's nothing short of totally perfect. I've seen less costly for similar, but I've also seen significantly more costly for very similar.
As a single guy it is certainly somewhere i could live - about the same size as the garage at my current house, which I am seriously considering converting to a self contained unit to live in and rent out the rest of the house...very reasonable rent - the same cost as my monthly electric bill here in New Zealand!
Nice. I stayed in my garage to get myself set up. It was the best thing I ever did. I listen to 15 minutes of Philosophy every day on RUclips. I still listen to 15 minutes of philosophy. I even did it today.
No, I have a one-year lease with a 10,000 baht ($303) deposit. I think you need a long-term visa for a lease. A visa agent can tell you more about that.
@@thailandmalcolm thanks for the info....what about the actual computer ? did you bring it with you or purchase it in Thailand ? im trying to figure out the plan for my move and there are a lot of logistics to consider. Also, what kind of visa did you get to be allowed to stay there ?
9 Karat is a great location but..... Unfortunately the condominium has been very much neglected over the years . With that in mind 6800 baht is not a bad deal. I live opposite in NP residence and pay 10500 for a very modern condo with WI Fi .

@@thailandmalcolm This interesting. I booked a holiday trip for 14 Days to Thailand, starting end of the next week. Its Island hopping in Phuket, Ko Phi Phi, Krabi and Kao Lack and I want to examine how the places are, because when I retire, I want to spend time in warmer and cheaper areas than in North Germany.
I play Overwatch. I hate it but keep coming back to it. It is like an old girlfriend. I paid 4,000 baht ($120) to get a fiberoptic connection (one-time cost). My Download speed is 920/mbs and my upload is 500 mbs. I had to pay a year upfront for the ISP; it works out to less than $20 a month + the connection fee.
Hello, that place is perfect for a single man. I have fantasized about a move to Thailand for awhile. My biggest fear is healthcare. I'm 62 and concerned about giving up medicare. I see that you mentioned that you pay 150.00 a month for healthcare. I'm definitely curious about the coverage and company.
I use Safetywing. You can look them up online and get a quote on the coverage you want. I recommend going on vacation for a few weeks in Thailand before you commit to retiring there.
I like that place, is worth the money. Swimming pool is big enough for do slaps, and all corridors have air flow. No far from big C extra. Also you have all furniture new, Great! Good choice.

The sink outside with the bar is great. What a good idea!
Yes, I really like the balcony.
Yeah not sure if that's common thing in Thailand but I've never seen such a thing!
@@oceanwave4142 It is a good deal. I got a 12-month lease in low season. Prices are lower when no one is here.

Nice place for the price , I’m in the Philippines 🇵🇭 paying a little more but the tourist visa is easier and I can go 3 years without leaving
Great, Asia has lots of great places.
Used to live at 9 karat, amazing location
I envy you man!! living your life on your terms
Thanks, we all live life on our terms. Some terms are better than others, you choose.
Thank you. I am enjoying myself.
You can do it. You can retire here on SS.
Hello Neighbor. I live on the 8th fl 😊

how far is from beach road by walk and motorbike
It is 3.5 km from walking street.
Personally not for me but still a pretty nice studio condo.
Thanks.

Great deal without doubt .

Great video. Is this a short teem rental?
No, I have a one-year lease with a 10,000 baht ($303) deposit. I think you need a long-term visa for a lease. A visa agent can tell you more about that.
Great video - Did you buy your computer desk/computer equipment in Thailand ? Also did you buy the blender in Thailand ?
My computer desk is a large tile. I just put it on my small table. The blender I got from Big-C in Pattaya.

Nice place. Thailand has a ton of good deals. Just a pain long term to stay there visa wise
I got my visa. It took about a month. But was easy. I used a visa agent.
@@thailandmalcolm Can you please explain more about the visa agent how do someone go about it that never been out there before?.
Walk into a visa shop and put your money and passport on the desk, they will do the rest..
It looks more like 30m2.
Could you get these low rents short term liks 3 months for a snowbird, or is it based on a yearly lease?
I have a 12-month lease with a $300 deposit. Shorter terms cost more, and they cost more in the high season. I got my lease in the low season.
Where did you find it? Online or just walking around? How much is the fiber internet? I'm headed there soon after my DTV visa gets approved
I found it on Facebook. You can change your location to Pattaya, and look at places to rent. $1 = 34 baht.
@@thailandmalcolm thank you
@@thailandmalcolm $1=30 baht thanks so much for helping me figure that out. Appreciate your help 😊👍
