Killing Windblight Ganon in ONE Shot

- In any% speedruns we go straight to the final boss room without completing any of the Divine Beasts. This means that we have to fight not just Calamity but the Blights as well with very limited equipment. In this video I show how speedrunners kill Windblight Ganon with a single arrow!

Windblight skip is one of my favorite any% glitches. I'm learning how to beat the blights and it's going decently well

I told my dad about this trick so he shot into the chamber (no setup) before fighting Ganon. It somehow sort of worked and took out like an extra 1/3 of Ganon's health
yea its pretty easy to get like 1/3 the blights hp off with some random shot. but if you want the 1 shot its pretty precise.

Someone did it like it was normal with no setup
I showed the (pretty widely agreed upon) most consistent setup because it more clearly shows how Link's position is set. There are faster setups like this: ruclips.net/video/DYo8ToXZl0Q/видео.html that are used in runs but a completely setupless windblight skip is something you will only see in spliced runs like the Best Theoretical Time videos.

@@proutine66 yeah that's pointcrow reacting to the Best Theoretical Time v1 which is a heavily spliced run made with the segments of many different runners (myself included). You won't see that in non spliced runs.

The only weapon you will ever really need anyway is a bow.
But that will only work if you go from the Great Plateau directly to Hyrule Castle. If you reach Divine Beast Vah Medoh, you’ll have to kill him the old fashioned way.

It will never not be funny to me that Revali, the master archer, got killed by a boss that can literally be killed with a singular arrow.
He was the second-to-last to get to his Divine Beast, so he was already tired. Windblight was already there when he got there, same with Urbosa. Rito don’t have good night vision and it was thunderstorming so his wings might not be as effective.
In fact, all of the Champions have good reasons as to why they were overpowered by the Blights.
Like Revali, Urbosa’s Blight, Thunderblight was already there when she got to her Divine Beast. She was fighting a monster with superspeed while wearing high-heels. The room you fight Thunderblight in is shaped weirdly and the only place that’s good to stand on and still be able to reach Thunderblight is the bridge in the middle, otherwise when you get knocked around by Thunderblight you will slide slightly up the wall and back down, taking longer to recover. Urbosa put up a good fight but she wasn’t able to win.
Waterblight froze the water around Mipha, preventing her from using her water abilities. Without the water she wouldn’t be able to reach Waterblight when it hangs on the ceiling.
Daruk didn’t have any explosives on him, which are the key to defeating Fireblight. Without Remote Bomb Fireblight is actually somewhat difficult. All Daruk could do against his Blight was protect himself until he got worn down.

Wind light one shot is overpowered 😂
You could do this with any of the 5 bosses in hyrule castle. Just Gannon at the bottom is a bit different then the other 4.
You can also kill calamity gannon this way as well you just need to do bullet time instead

I don't have a full tutorial that I would recommend for beginners. Tony made a tutorial series that's pretty good if you're learning from scratch: ruclips.net/p/PLUL4WQb6rYgWJFfDyH5EoyhygmOpiOLvm and you can join the BotW speedrunning discord (the invite link is available at speedrun.com/botw ) to get help from other runners.

As someone who has finished this game 1000 times I think its faster to do dungeons and kill calamity alone!

Does this works for Calamity Ganon?
There's a setup for calamity skip in All Dungeons where you've already fought the blights (ex: ruclips.net/video/Nf-lQehnFOI/видео.html ) but trying to do a setup while fighting thunderblight isn't really feasible.
When you already have done the blights before entering ganon is the trick much more easy cause you dont need any setup
