Hey Rune! So nice of you to stop and say hi yesterday. I'm absolutely sure we will meet more often during summer at the Amcar nights, you take some amazing pictures!
Higgout, my man! Can't please everyone and that is fortunate, otherwise all our cars would look the same. You are always very kind and constructive in your comments, thanks for that. Take care and I hope to see you around for the next video as well!
Hey Ted! Mab, it's cool of you to drop by, I hope we can meet up some day. Glad you dig the ride, one of my favorite builds to date. It has been so much fun to put this one together!
Thanks Johnny, good to hear you enjoy the vids! Still getting the hang of filming, editing, and all that comes with, but this is such a cool way to meet fellow enthusiasts!
Hi Alexander, reading this puts a smile on mine! I'm very glad you enjoy the vids, I'm still learning a lot on editing and filming, but I love doing it. Talk soon! :)
Thoroughly, Thoroughly enjoyed watching the build vids for this and now to finally see it run and do burns out. super dope video as always my friend, can't wait for the next project
man... whenever i get sad, i dont just get awesome like barney stinson, but i watch your channel, and latest when i hear "hooray for everything", i have a smile on my face. thank you for your channel and keep on rocking! cheers from switzerland
Hi Flavio! Good to see yo stop by again, my friend! The body will be available soon thrugh HemiStorm Products. As for breaking in the engine: several ways and everybody has a preferred method. I run stock carb settings, just let it cycle through a tank of gas without throttling it too much. After that, I start leaning it out with some low speed runs, just as long till I find the right tune. I hope this helps!
This video was an artwork and I love it. Thanks for making this... aaand I just saw it was 8 years old, wow. Well, add 'timeless' to its description, then. Love it.
The grip is good enough for some serious turning action as well, and they are hard enough not to be too grippy off the line. The fronts need a bit of tweaking though, want a softer compound there, which will also help with the burnouts.
Well, Richard... It is not too bad I think. Although wifes and girlfriends not always agree on what we think is acceptable, haha. The FG costs a little under 1000 euros, add a different body and wheels for around 250 euro, some electronics, which were quite pricey but it needs to be reliable as well. So those ran me around 400 euros total. Now, the fun part: The fake engine in front was not even 30 euro, and the wheelie bar cost me around 15 euro to make. Add the BZM, and you have a total. :)
I'm speechless, seeing an Overpowered 1/5 scale On-Road car doing burnouts and powersliding with smoking tires. That's just... Amazing. Really awesome! Keep it up! :D
Hi Carlos! Keep in mind, it was running rich, like Bill Gates rich, since it was the first outing. The BZM in my Losi 5ive hauls and revs like mad! Once they are broken in and start revving properly, these Italian engines are almost scary little screamers. Thanks for subscribing!
Of course I come across your videos at like 6 in the morning, but just had to watch this entire build or I wouldn't have slept anyway lol. Awesome work my friend, that car is badass!! And this just got you a new subscriber. Can't wait to see what ya got up your sleeve next!
I use to have an RC car like this one. It had 2 white stripes, a blue body color, and the body was pretty much the same look as this one, only that it had huge wheels in the back, and a huge blower in the front.
They are a Medium as far as I can tell. Again, F1 wheels that I got second hand. They didn't seem to have any runtime on them at all, but the compound sticker was not there. I think a super soft would maybe make it too grippy for the tail out action and the burnout start, but I can see i I can mess around with it a little, as I have more tires laying around. And your brushless sounds sweet! Might look into an electric too at some point.
Hi Dale! The diecast V8 i made by Liberty Classics, they have a lot of different ones. Check out the other vids in the playlist for links to their site, and also to see what needs to be done to make it fit.
Hi Eric, different people, different taste! Can't please everyone, and that is also not my goal. I'm just documenting whatever I'm up to with my RC's, and hope to perhaps get some new people interested in the hobby, or come up with some fresh ideas. Input from replies I'm getting helps, doesn't matter if it is positive or negative. Thank you for the kind words!
Although Holland is indeed also a nice place to live, I currently live in Halden, Norway. It is so nice out here, friendly people, lots of activity during summer. No plans on picking up an XO-1 yet, but who knows what the future may bring. Keep up making those nice running vids!
Big high five, David! You never have to apologize for having an opinion, it is constructive criticism and allows me to improve where needed. Perhaps I didn't fully explain the intention of the build during the vids. It's all good buddy, that being said... You will love the next feature of this build!
That is actually a good idea, I will maybe take the TF2 out there. it shows the whole town below, and the fjord in the distance. I will look into it and see if they point a cannon at me when I suggest it. ;)
Very cool dude. I'm not really an R/C guy, I'm a mechanic and drag race real cars- but that was really cool. Would be fun to thrash around the pits at the races or in the workshop during down time. Well done with the build. Looks GREAT!!!And also looks like a lot of fun...
+HemiStorm RC - Custom RC builds, painting videos and more What a beautiful car....amazing job you have done but you ruined the vid with the music blaring in the back ground.
what I wouldnt give to drive this thing just one time! This is one of my favorite RC's of all time! the setup you did with the brakes and parachute are AMAZING, wish I had an RC that could do burnouts like that! Maybe my first 1/5 scale will be an FG!
You are, as always, very kind, Steve! Glad to hear you like the project, especially since you are familiar with fullscale drag racing.
I would like this video so much more if there was no music! More engine sound!
Robert Roberts Not the last you will see of this ride! Next time no music, promised.
HemiStorm RC - Custom RC builds, painting videos and more thank you!
Robert Roberts agreed
That puts a huge smile on my face, very glad to hear that!
I have enjoyed building this so much, and what a joy to be finally able to take it out for a spin!

Would be better without music... might have wanted to hear car engine.... maybe the music makes it go faster.
Agreed. Someone has been watching old Casey Neistat vids
Lol so true about the casey neistat reference
Exactly
Video never does the motor sounds justice. I agree about music delete
Agreed no music makes the video actually enjoyable
So many ideas that can still be used on this car! Got one coming that I will put into work, it is something you would find on a real drag car. ;)
Great tip for the wheel, Shawn, thank you!
always enjoy your unique super sized crazy detailed rc builds cant wait for your next one !
More large scale coming for sure!
The sweet music of the BZM!
Thoroughly, Thoroughly enjoyed watching the build vids for this and now to finally see it run and do burns out. super dope video as always my friend, can't wait for the next project
