  • Have you ever wanted to either get in or get out of your driveway, only to discover a stranger's car or truck blocking it?
All drivers with a valid New York license are taught that blocking a driveway is a violation. In fact, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles states that parking is not allowed in front of a driveway. And yet the problem persists.
So instead of doing something rash, register your complaint by contacting 311, and file a report about your driveway being blocked. You can also call your local police precinct.
Keep in mind that in all of the five boroughs, vehicles can be ticketed and towed if they are partially or completely blocking a driveway.
If that happens, it won't be cheap, and the fines can be steep!
