- Since @MamonFighter2ndChannel, @rainowen1921, and @robertcarey5971 and did a good first try with the title sequence, I thought I'd give it a go.
And with special thanks to @kyleandfriendsfunhouse1992, I think I got it right this time.
So here it is, the full poem cartoon straight from the movie in short form and in much better quality, I might add.
The Walrus and the Carpenter/Alice in Wonderland = Disney/Lewis Carroll
One thing I've always liked is the Walrus and Carpenter shuffling into view like old-school Vaudeville/Music Hall comedians shuffling onstage. There's a very Laurel-and-Hardy spirit to Disney's interpretation of them. Especially the Walrus' repeated whacking of his partner.
Written by Lewis Carroll
Adapted by Walt Disney
Performed by J. Pat O’Malley
The part where the carpenter builds a seafood restaurant out of driftwood at incredible speed always gets me!
For the longest time I thought the Carpenter was a seafood chef. Up to that point I'd never seen Alice In Wonderland (1951) from start to finish, and the footage of this sequence I had seen from the DTV music videos that were on Disney Channel until the mid-to-late 90's, so you can imagine why I thought that. Plus, my uncle's a carpenter and he never dressed like that for work. True, perhaps in the 1860's that's how carpenters dressed, but if you only saw the latter half of this sequence visually spliced to 70's music, he'd fit right in at a seafood restaurant.
Thank you for that... Interesting information.
You’re welcome 😇
A pretty disturbing but well-done Disney short film.
When the oysters soon realized that they were on the menu, they knew they were screwed!
The Walrus and the Carpenter... or... The Story of The Curious Oysters
Awesome classic
Buddy, bravo on a cool edit here! I actually thought at first that Disney released this segment as it's own cartoon and it flew past me after all these years.😂😊

I remembered that this segment is from the Disney movie Alice in Wonderland and that movie is on Disney plus.
I remember this from Alice In Wonderland where Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum were telling the story to Alice.
“crash”💥 5:00
The walrus sorta reminds me of Pete
They are supposed to be reminiscent of Honest john and Gideon from Pinocchio
Warlus: Now, You’re Mine!
Good Classic You Have!
I wonder if the carpenter manages to hit the walrus with his hammer
I bet so of course
Alice Through The Looking Glass
The tweedles: The end!
Alice: That was a very sad story
The tweedle agree
Imagine if they didn’t even make “Alice in wonderland” and instead made this instead.
Way to go, as of how this was edited at the beginning and ending. I always often wondered what this sequence of Alice In Wonderland would be like as a separate cartoon.
The part where the walrus uses his cane as a flute was the best part
That's Was A Good Job! 👍
Thanks! I made the credit sequence myself.
You’re welcome 😇
What’s Awesome Job!
Kevin provided the Walt Disney card.
WARLUS: Grab Him!
Thanks for using my title card slide video of FanimationXV’s fanmade title cards.
You're welcome. :)
0:17 Hit it, boys
Taken from The Simpsons Movie (2007)
Awesome Job!
Sad... it eat alone all baby oyster😢
Did they really make a short of the walrus and the carpenter sequence of Alice in wonderland, or is it just fan-made?
You'll have to ask the other users who made this possible.
It looks fan-made to me.
@@ernovincze2900 It is fan made and made for fun. :)
@@LooneyTunerIan It's a good fan-edit and looks very much like a proper Disney short (which it really is, inserted in the middle of a movie).
WARLUS: Get Him!
Request: That’s Intermission Folks Card
