I first found your channel when i was researching motorized bikes. I now have a yd100 and its one of my favorite things to do! Thanks for helping me get through all of the tedious tasks with one of these engines, it means alot! Cant wait to do trips like this when i get older. Best hobby ever!
Just a heads up if you are gonna mount a kids trailer to your rear wheel axel, make damn sure your sprocket is 100% aligned or you will have chain locking/snapping issues. 2 chains later she running good now.
Nice relaxing evening, Wow! Just you & real nature...Sweet! I relaxed a little too, just watching your campsite & ride. Thanks & blessings! Paul from S. Central TX.
Once you had that chain jump,, i bet the rest of the ride was a lil nerve wracking haha,, Just waiting for it to happen again, glad it didnt!! Usually those get messy, you got lucky lol,, thanks for the adventure man, that was awesome!! Oh yea, you know those things you can hook up to your bike and tow kids around,, well those are really good for not tipping over,, you can cut em up and modify if ya want, make em longer or whatever
Man I'm really enjoying this channel. Looks like your interest in adventure is farely similar to mine so I find it very relatable. Built a few motorized bikes, first ones back in 2003-2004 when none of what we have now was really available. Also done a couple of china doll bikes. I think it might be time to rekindle that old flame 👍
I really enjoyed this, Well done! I have two 4 stroke Friction drives bikes with BOB yak single wheel trailers and im planning a simple 2 stroke cruiser like yours.
I love the totem on your bike, at the beginning of the video!! I’ve been wanting to put something on mine, but I can’t think of anything yet.. it’ll come. Love your videos sir!
Thanks for the camping trip. Now that my son is out of the Scouts, I almost miss our semi-annual trips. Oh, and I found your uploaded pics for the campground...😄
I have been watching your Akaso camera review, and stuck with your channel because of your style in making videos (less edit, feels like i'm there joining the journey with you), and you also do outdoor camping that I love to watch! (I not into motorized bike, I have zero skill in machinery but look like fun to do) I just subscribed, please do more camping video.
hey there i really enjoy your channel i am a long time rider of motorized bikes i have gone on long trips averaging 20 miles at a time , fill her up and let her cool down, and run a safety check. i went from northern colorado (ft. collins) to new mexico on the same engine (yd100)with a very heavy trailer of about 60 pounds i hit 33 mph without the trailer and still went 33 mph with the trailer (took a few seconds longer to hit top speed) (is really dangerous and i dont advise it if you dont know what your doing) i know you know what you are doing though .i really regret not filming it.the coldest we where in was -5 yes i was very buddled up and had to warm up every refill but my engine took the abuse & performed i plan on taking a long trip in the near future where i want to make music videos along the way and plug my youtube channel for music i plan on making a youtube channel just for motorized bike adventures. i do want to do a run across america one day. let me know if you want to collaberate. thanks
I missed this video those hurricane lanterns are great for camping they will run from dusk till dawn on 8 ounces of fuel with fuel remaining Years ago i used to night fish with them and when i camp now i use them with citronellla in addition to a propane lantern the propane lantern is brighter light even turned down low but uses more fuel Also the propane lanterns have inexplicably extinguished themselves and require more maintenance when bedtime comes At camp i usually extinguish the propane lanterns and leave the citronella lamps going along with the campfire it gives enough light For people to see the camp (theres a story to tell there) and keep animals away as well as easily transportable light that can be sat down during those inevitable night time bathroom trips one can argue that the light on your phone is suficient for bathroom trips and it is But is annoying to hold and manuever while groggy and trying to get buttons undone the lantern while dimmer light casts a circle of light keeping both hands free Also i set my lanterns about 10 12 15 away from the tent that way the light doesnt keep anyone awake and is still enough light to prevent tripping over something so that being said while there are brighter options for lighting a campsite they are more costly to purchase maybe even more efficient but cost more to use and are heavier I wont say hurricane lanterns are the best but i will say for just an over nighter theyre plenty sufficient even for extended trips a hurricane lantern shouldnt be discounted As they have few moving parts and arent absolutely necessary for the lantern to operate that being said there will always be a hurricane lantern in my camping gear
Great video. Wondering what the few bad moments were during the night? My respect has doubled after this video. I am not scared of much in this life but there is no way in H E double hockeysticks would I have the nerve to sleep out in the middle of nowhere like that by myself. Even with my protection and my dog.
Thats so wierd I can see the shadow of the stick thats holding the camera and it even looks like your holding it but can't see the stick itself... I used to wonder how you got those shots cause I never saw anything with a camera on it and I guess that was your goal... to make it seem like a camera is just following you... Good job
He's using a 360 action camera. 360 cameras have two lenses, one on either side. Each lens capture a 200° view, which the camera's software stitches into one 360° view. The camera's design puts the two lenses just far enough from each other so that the 20° overlap in their footages creates a blind spot of a couple of feet, enough to hide the camera stick.
I love Redemption! She's a tough girl. Great video Hover! Just a Matthew's reminder, how is the 110cc and 49cc coming along? 2 crappy motors I like to see.
LA.H Bikes, I do have a question for you What size tire is the largest I can go that won't rub? I have a beach cruiser I want to add a 4 stroke kit to but I'm curious about the size of tire I should use for it, currently there is a 26"x2.5", I fear that the tires are too large and would rub on a chain if I add the kit. What size is the largest I can go that won't rub?
Depending on the frame, each build is a little different. 2.5 is a bit wide but might clear. If not just go down to a 2.0 - 2.2. You should not need to change rims.
@@LAHover 1 answer but yet another question. Can confirm, my kit came in and the tires are just wide enough to where I would need to get tires a little thinner or I would need to get a sprocket adapter to push the sprocket out. 2.2 definitely should work, another question though, do you think heavier gauge wheels are worth it or just keep the same bicycle wheels?
sound like 4 stroking most of the trip an also trailer sold be a wider wheel base. all good. its not bought speed its how far Hugo know this breakdown suck .I am glad ou took the trailer but did not think you ran it without right! the 4 stroking wS YOU DID NOT FIND THE SWEET SPOT TO CARRY THE LOAD. not yelling just saying so;.
Low speed cruising on the big bore kit. Even with the trailer it's going to lug going this slow. Could not reach the sweet spot on these back roads without risking a tip over...
@@LAHover I have been looking into a foldable trailer for next spring, wish they had a wider wheel base. Got my eye on the schwinn trailer found it on amizon it has a steel frame, taller tires and little wider wheel base.

Dang bro, you're living my dream man!
Hey Man, I had bought a trailer for my bike, the same one that you have, made going groceries shopping a breeze :)
Love the handle bars on that one, I would'nt have guessed it was a cranbrook....
Thanks, they were a gift from a fellow Builder "Motorized Bike Stuff"
great video! looking forward for a US tour video on your redemption bike. :)

That was an incredible adventure. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very cool! I'm just starting out in this hobby and you have answered many questions I have across many of your videos. Keep em coming!
Thanks for the fantastic adventure 😀 it was a really fun episode. The lantern and fire box was next level. 💯 🚴♂️💨💨

Cool camp trip 😃🚴♂️👍
I like the trailer idea for Alternate transportation.
Love your vids how to fix chain slipping
Tighten your chain with a chain tensioner or you can remove a few links that should work. Hope this helps
@@grid-1725 thanks man
Maybe if you could find a way to offset the Trailer Axles so the wheels toe out it might not be quite so tippy?
Maybe, but I'm too lazy lol.

No big animals as far as I could tell. Did hear what sounded like some BIG trees falling.

beautiful sir much love
I liked using the coaster brake on my Seachange but now I use the stock brakes on the Huffy Lockland ( Cranbrook with upgrades)
I really do need to get off my ass and build mine. Had an engine and a bike for years, never got around to building it
I always look forward to your videos great videos man!
I appreciate that!
I love these video! I will making my own set up soon! Love see more videos !!!
Now I got plans for these holidays thanks Fr very inspiring
My bike trailer is a bit bigger. Good to know about placing the heavy items below the light items.
A colab with you and camping with steve would be cool

Years ago i used to night fish with them and when i camp now i use them with citronellla in addition to a
propane lantern the propane lantern is brighter light even turned down low but uses more fuel
Also the propane lanterns have inexplicably extinguished themselves and require more maintenance when bedtime comes
At camp i usually extinguish the propane lanterns and leave the citronella lamps going along with the campfire it gives enough light
For people to see the camp (theres a story to tell there) and keep animals away as well as easily transportable light that can be sat down during those inevitable night time bathroom trips one can argue that the light on your phone is suficient for bathroom trips and it is
But is annoying to hold and manuever while groggy and trying to get buttons undone the lantern while dimmer light casts a circle of light keeping both hands free
Also i set my lanterns about 10 12 15 away from the tent that way the light doesnt keep anyone awake and is still enough light to prevent tripping over something so that being said while there are brighter options for lighting a campsite they are more costly to purchase maybe even more efficient but cost more to use and are heavier
I wont say hurricane lanterns are the best but i will say for just an over nighter theyre plenty sufficient even for extended trips a hurricane lantern shouldnt be discounted
As they have few moving parts and arent absolutely necessary for the lantern to operate that being said there will always be a hurricane lantern in my camping gear

The 110 crankshaft snapped so it’s not coming back, J thought the 49 had a bearing issue where it wouldn’t go properly into the case so rubbed
Not sure when I'll get to the 110, but I have a fresh 49 going on a bike soon.
