I always love watching people’s first reaction to this song. I’m a white Welsh woman who is very passively into rap/hip hop but this song randomly came on once for me on Spotify one drunken night alone. I was never the same since lmao. It’s so excellently written and took me to places I didn’t feel comfortable in, that is art for me.
This song is dark but I love it. Putting the disturbed feeling you start to see this song as an art piece. Flow, lyrics, rhymes, amazingly detailed story telling, beat, instrumental, life messages stuck in the song like the chorus, the artists voice goes hard, brilliant song.
Would love to see you guys react to Daddy by Korn. It is pretty much the Metal equivalent of a song like this. It is 100% true, although the actual story might differ a little bit to what you might think, so I would also recommend to look up the real meaning AFTER listening to it
It's interesting and different. But I agree with ty and ryan. Once is enough. It's good lyrically, and I see the juxtaposition of the love story theme. However I might like it better if it had original music in the background.
This genre, this style of hip hop is absolutely not my thing. Different strokes for different folks. The lyrical content is dark, void of any light. I'm with Ryan. I never need to hear this ever again. Bring on some more Toto, Steely Dan and Boston!
I was not expecting that. This almost needs a trigger warning. Other than that, he reminds me of Nas and I’m glad there’s not a lot of rap on this channel.
@@RachelinKyeveryones taste is subjective but as a rap nerd i guarantee i can find an artist you can get into lol if you are open to it. Whats your taste in music typically? Which genres & artists?
@@RachelinKy hmmm okay something more smooth, melodic & musical. Check out artist Big K.R.I.T. his song "Hydroplaning" may be suitable to your taste. He produces his own instrumentals to write to as well, so he is the producer as well as artist. Guitarist is most likely a session player although he may play multiple instruments himself, as many rap producers do.
Never going to be a fan. Not personal and everyone likes different things . Sampling is just stealing someone else's talent. This is just feeding violence, hatred and anger. I do not need this darkness in my life because I have already seen the worse in humanity.
Its actually the opposite subjectively because its showcasing the downfall of the street life. Also sampling is 100% an artform in & of itself. Its an interpolation, its a blend, its taking one thing & transforming it into something different. If its not to your taste though that is absolutely fair & no one can tell you what to like or enjoy!
Sorry, but hip hop is 100% change-the-channel for me. It’s not the violence of the stories or the language (I have a potty mouth so……eh). It’s the actual rapping that I don’t like. It just doesn’t appeal to me. I’m moved by the reality of how lives are ruined by poverty and drugs, I just don’t care for the method used to tell the stories. For this particular song, I thought the “artistic” contradiction between the Love Story piano and the anguish of the lyrics was a bit much. It was annoying, much like the movie.
Id say that is a fair criticism. You didnt like it but you didnt dismiss the song. If rap style lyrics (poetry) isnt your cup of tea that is 100% okay because music & art in general is absolutely subjective.
There’s the people who freeze in shock and those who rock a little harder at the word mother.
As soon as I saw the title I knew these boys would not be ready!
No one has ever been ready for this song on their first listen lol
They didn't skip a beat
This is exactly why I clicked on it, lol!
Everybody think's they wanna be a gangster until they listen to Immortal Technique

The story is real his cell mate told him but he isn’t him. He is one of the best
The fact almost none of your facial expressions flinched at the end part is wild.
For real. I’ve heard this song dozens of times and it still makes me cringe
Havent watched yet but im here to watch the part where the head boppin stops😂
didn't even happen lol

Guys, I don’t know if you’re ready for this one. It’s GOOD, but it’s HEAVY!!!
VERY heavy
He would only name himself Immortal Technique because he meant it
this one is right up there with gangsta paradise as one of the greatest hiphop songs ever writen
The beginning music or music is from Love Story if I'm not mistaken.
What a story........jeeez I need a palate cleanser
Hooo boy that's heavy, just watched The Life Ahead before this, not sure if I need a hug or a cry 😭
Nas “Undying Love” next.
That one is really good too 🔥🔥
Blood In Blood Out
0:31 oh is that what u think of?🤣🤣🤣
You ought to hear the earlier track from Cozy Powell with the same name!

Their reactions were anti climatic. Good job tho to the dude in the middle for putting them on to greatness.
Ugh... Love you guys...But I didn't even finish this video. Still a fan, can't love 'em all
Hi guys; any chance you’ve reacted to
Album: Owl City
Song: Fireflies
Artist: Adam Young
It was good but not a fun Halloween song about vampires, werewolves or ghosts with spooky music but it was definately very deep and disturbing...

Hey guys, Love the channel but this just doesn’t do anything for me musically. To each his own I guess. Peace.

Guys ya gotta pick better songs! I haven’t watched one of your vids in a long time because I don’t like what you are reacting to.
If u don’t like that song u must be a fkn nerd. It’s one of the best storytelling rap songs ever
