My thyroid crapped out when I was in my early 40s. My face got puffy, I had brain fog, and no energy. The disease is not as common in men as it is in women. My first synthroid pill charged me up like ten cups of coffee. But soon you're back to blah but not as bad. I blamed it on a brief energy drink addiction but it's probably just genetic since my Dad also had it.
im only 24 and have had hypothyroidism for about a year now (could be more but i only found out last year). i gained a lot of weight and it's really hard to lose even though i barely eat and the medication didnt help me lose it or give me my energy back ☹
@Chelsea G It's harder to manage in women. We have to work harder against it. Losing weight is not easy, but it can be done slowly and steadily with simple lifestyle/dietary changes.

George Carlin was funny as long as he kept to profanities and pointing out the absurdities in life. Russell Peters is super funny when he sticks to race and the absurdities of different races. Once he steps off the reservation and tries to have a more general themed show, the magic disappears.
I'm wondering too why this is called best of... I loved his shows, but this time I hardly laughed. He's at his best when he does accents.

These older comedians are like pensioner rock bands that continue touring into their 60-s. Wrinkles and no more fire.
Seems an odd comparison to me. A rock star needs the energy and looks of youth as part of the package that makes the show. Comedians just need to be funny, looks and age don't really factor.
