My asian dad used to try and teach me how to play hockey and baseball and introduced me to things like corn dogs and spam (we were poor growing up) and my mom used to make Candy apples and used to use maple syrup on every dessert we had.

My granddad is from Malaysia and I've had to apologise to people at the pubs and bars when they get some old Malaysian trying to sell them cheap, knock off tat 🤦♀️
