    No offense! Cool set up and you're on the right path. I have the same tank with african cichlids and eventually putting into a 75 gallon. Just some advice, 1st mistake, way to much gravel. 2nd never add other fish tank water into your aquarium. Always fish net them in. Never drip acclimate. Had more but, forgot. (Just my advice only) You seem to be on a great path and I'm sure you know all of this by now. Looks great!

      We sure could have used this a year ago. 🤣🤣 Great advice for the newcomers for sure. The tank is doing well a year later, but we've learned this and so much more. Thank you so much for this advice that we ended up learning the hard way.

      A deep gravel bed is actually beneficial to an aquarium because it houses beneficial bacteria, you're right on the not putting water from the store in, and drip acclimation is the best way to do it, so stop spreading misinformations

    I am looking into this tank as well, I have a community tank, but I started mine with water softener water - DONT ever do that lol. It's caused me so many problems, ugh. I want to get this bow front one because its deep and I want to get a bunch of levels of fish to watch. it's really a joy to watch fish.

      The only thing I'm not liking about it is it has a bow front, so you can't clean algae well. Other than that, it's still holding up great!

    Nice video, I just purchase my second 36 gallon tank but up-to-date one just like yours.. I will be doing my own set up but I do have a question was that a water hose that you used to put the water in the fish tank?

    • @GrahamVentures
      @GrahamVentures  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, we used a hose to fill it initially then added hot water so it wasn't so cold

    Nice fish! I have 5 tanks myself. It is addictive!! I was looking into the bow tank when i found your video. Do you have any complaints about the tank?

      So far, it's held up great! The only think I don't like is you can't use a razor blade to clean the bowed glass. Other than that though, it's been a really good choice!

    I had a tetrocanthus tank, and a mabuna tank I had numerous babies and had stuff for everyones tank lol even brought some into the feed store I worked at. Sadly my ex husband killed them by shutting off the pge to early😢 they were a breeding pair.

    Very nice fish tank! I saw Tetris, but what are all the fish you have in there? What was that beautiful black/grey and blue one?? Also where did you get the bubbling treasure chest. Thank you. I have been wanting to get one, but dont know … bc of time

    • @GrahamVentures

      Are you referring to the Betta fish in the smaller aquarium?

    • @GrahamVentures
      @GrahamVentures  2 года назад

      They are a lot of work, so it's quite a commitment. They're easier once established however, but then there's a lot more algae issues. I think tou may have seen the Sparkling guaromi? We got the treasure chest on Amazon. Actually, fairly inexpensive and still going strong!

      One thing with these bow front tanks and the way the hood hangs over, t water seems to run down the tank and ruins the cabinet so keep a close eye on it. Thanks. And the guy saying you have too much gravel. I disagree. The more gravel I hav redound the better the bacteria can grow which is a good thing. And get bunches of live plants and you will never have to vacuum the gravels.
