Thanks for the review, yours is beautiful. I was worried about it looking too distorted in the front and it doesnt at all! You did a great job with this tank.
Great looking tank - everything in balance and looking healthy. Lots of nice plant growth keeps nitrates down = less frequent water changes which is always a bonus.
Nice that you keep your tanks for a longer period of time. Its amazing observing what happens during a year or two, not just make and break in 2-3 months.
Definitely, when it comes to smaller tanks, I don’t mind them being more temporary, but with a big planted tank I definitely think it’s nice to see it evolve over a longer lifespan
I was a little worried about it, but unless I’m looking at a very specific angle, it’s not noticeable at all. The only time I really realize it is when I’m filming at an angle
Thank you for sharing this tank. I want to upgrade to a 36 from a 20 Topfin tank. I love my tank, but want a nice size, not too big, not too small. I want to get some cichlids for the 36. I think you should try some cichlids too!!
Thank you sir. I was looking into the 20 gallon hexagonal tank versus this 36 gallon bowfront, and you helped me make my decision. Beautifully done tank and video, with relaxing music.
Kinda funny I bought the 20 gallon hex tank today….all day I was like…I think I want something bigger…went back tonight and got the 36 gallon bow front:)
Have you thought of putting sponge filters in the tanks. They can save you a lot of money. I bought them a year ago from the Co Op , and they're great!
I have sponge filters in my quarantine tank and my shell dweller tank, and they work great for those purposes. However, in my opinion, I think that they can disturb the look of an aquascape and take up a good amount of space. They are great methods of filtration, but they don’t usually work for the kind of set ups I like to do
I have sponge filters in all of my tanks, too. I use them along with other filters in the same tanks - they add great longevity to the biosphere not to mention infusoria for babies. Also instant cycling when you move them around to add to new tanks.
Nice tank man,my 36 gallon bow fronts light recently became dead so I had to create a custom lid and bought a top fin 30 inch light. It sucks that they don't sell the lid on the general market
I bought this setup a year ago on the 1st of July for $129 on sale and I have loved it so far! I will say the top fin heater is not submersible which makes it harder to hide especially being silver. It died after about 4 months of use. I switched to a 300W aqueon submersible heater and haven't had any issues since. I do use the lid as I house Killifish that love to jump!
Toby, Great job on this video. What is that white "ZERO" or "O" on the front of the aquarium for? I have a 75 gallon aquarium currently and we are looking to downsize to a 39 gallon aquarium. I do like that it comes with an LED light too. Thank you again for such professionalism! Awesome!
I just purchased the same aquarium... I was wondering if the light thats installed in the hood is adequate for live plants...turns out, it is! What is your choice of filtration?
Do the bent brackets make enough pressure against the glass so the light doesn’t fall into the water? Like how safe is it? I like the way it looks but I’m afraid of accidents.
My stock heater does work good but it is ugly and they have temp readings on the side obviously just for looks and u just have to adjust and wait then get the temp…i have a side temp gauge that goes on the glass but I’ll probably upgrade the heater and the lid is a PAIN IN THE ARSE!
@PhoenixRising2040 glad to hear. I just got this tank last week and saw all the bad reviews online. Does your tank have a rim at the top? Or is it rimless like in this video?
@alexanderr4475 mine has both rims, I personally wouldn't risk a rimless bow front, but I'm fairly inexperienced with tank holding capabilities, I'm about to rebuild a 90g I just acquired with bad seams but anxiety has prevented me from busting out the silicone 😅
@PhoenixRising2040 looks like you got the newer version of this tank. I bought mine second hand just last week and it is like the one in the video. No top rim. I am scared to fill it up with water after seeing all the reviews.
for a young man you know your stuff about fish. nice job

The Black Neons look awesome, great colour match for your black back ground and plants.
Your fish room is looking outstanding and your scapes are beautiful. Bow front is gorgeous 👌🏻

Aye don’t call me out like that lol I get bored of my scapes after a few months and change them up completely
I like this video, I like it because it is a year review of the tank and how you've had different fish and plants in one year.
I dont get how you arent getting tons of views this is just good content
Such a beautifully set up aquarium, plants look amazing mate!
Great update on it…
I’ve never been a fan of Bow front aquarium as it distorts everything if you view it on an angle, do you find that?
I was a little worried about it, but unless I’m looking at a very specific angle, it’s not noticeable at all. The only time I really realize it is when I’m filming at an angle
Great tank it's impressive to see how well you've done over time. I prefer this over the brand new unboxing videos.

Thank you man. I got the exact same tank at the exact same time as you, and mine looks like yours if you shook it 10 times...
😂
Did the tank start leaking?
It looks good! Great job
I have one of these too and it's definitely a learning experience. Thanks for your review 🙏

Great video young man! I appreciate the great info! :)

Great video bud. You got my kid looking astonished on how well kept your tank is compared to his unruly mess of overgrown plants. Keep it up man 👍🏾
Overgrown is the way to go

That 0 is a reflection from the light he is using to film.
Great job! Thanks
Nice planted tank man!
Awesome review
Is the tank (aside from the frame) 100% acrylic or glass?
Did the stand resist the weight?
Do you have a suggestion for a replacement hood?
I just purchased the same aquarium... I was wondering if the light thats installed in the hood is adequate for live plants...turns out, it is!

Hey man. I have the same tank. What light set up are you using? The light and lid originally are mediocre and I’m looking to replace it

Is that a salt water or fresh water tank?
Nice video. You know your stuff! I am just researching and want to buy a tank. Curious, do have CO2 running to the tank?
No, no co2. Welcome to the hobby!

Could I convert this to a saltwater tank
Do the bent brackets make enough pressure against the glass so the light doesn’t fall into the water? Like how safe is it? I like the way it looks but I’m afraid of accidents.
Its extremely secure and almost impossible to knock off
@@TobyCreates cool! Did you just bend it by hand?
Yup, took a good bit of time to get it correct but it was worth it.
How did you get your light brakets to sit so up high?
I took the brackets and bent them at the height I wanted

Oh this lid is definitely the worst!
Great tank! Everyone says this tank leaks. Any issues yet? I just bought one and im having buyers remorse
2 years strong, no issues
They must have done something lol
Yeah same tank, 2-3 years now - no leaks.
wow your voice is so much deeper
It's crazy watching the 2 videos back to back 🤣
Just purchased the same kit last week in nova scotia 2023 $300
