I guess, he is quick and nimble on his feet. If you watch closely, most of his points were either below the table or on the top of the table. It is extremely tough to do, if you are not nimble on your feet.
1. Hit the ball at 4 o'clock instead of 2 (which you do against topspin) 2. Power from the ground shots 3. Vary the pace and therefore the depth and height of the ball 4. Vary when you choose to pounce on a ball 5. Lie, lie, lie with your body language
It’s not just xu xin, penhold players usually have better touch. As a result their dropshots are a lot more effective. Xu Xin’s spin is also really hard to read because he pulls his arm on every shot and it’s hard to tell where the contact point is. The same pull of his arm is a slow loop or a loop kill.
Ok, wonderful to know. When are you going to actually show or give instruction for modern defenders? Its obvious that this sytle of play is looked down upon from the general table tennis community, and this video continues that. It is amazing given the lack of training and credibility given to modern defense that it is as good as it is. Can you imagine how good it would be if it was taught with as much passion and dedication as attack?
hi coach ... I'm joni from karawang-indonesia from the last video xuxin rarely lost from defend player interesting for me to ask. how to deal with defend players with excellent blocks (defender players tend to use rubber pimple out on the backhand and pimple in on the forehand) I hope a lot for the answer thank you
Hm.... I prefer to deal with slow sponny loops. I have more time to vary my stroke, perfecting my chop, more time to focus on quality stroke, more time to step around and counter, more time to twiddle and block with inverted bh.
no, he's only played ma te once as far as I know and xu xin won 4-0. He's also beaten joo se hyuk 5 times and lost 0 times. I don't think any defender has beaten Xu xin
Because he is already one of the best defender on the planet. Common sense. But he can loop all day while most of other defender are not that comfortable.
Xu xin is the best player in the national Chinese team and also world along with FZD & Ma long & I never saw him loose to any choppers any time ,he's the only penholder who is the master over all penholders in the world (looping Showman)& wipe most of the players in a classic Chinese style🤫✌️
Just realize that when EmRatThich says it's a spinny, "slow" loop, it's actually a very fast ball even for top international players, lol. And the spin is so extreme it's deadly.
excuse me, what does it mean to attack a ball "on the bounce"? I reckoned it mean attacking it early, while it's still moving upwards rather than in the highest position but Xu Xin doesn't seem to do that in the shot you're describing.
rofl... this has nothing to do with tactics, but with the sheer skills of xu xin. His forehand is just that amazing. It's not because he's "smarter" than anyone else, he just has a far superior forehand to anyone else... Virtually no one can loop those chops like him (let alone smash them).
Coach.. When I serve a sidespin, why do my opponents can easily attack my serve. The attack is so sharp and just like a smash. But when I'm the one who will try it, I can't do it?
Good commentary but terrible video quality. So many repeated frames: the actual framerate is only 18 unique frames per second, which is why the game video looks jumpy. Please use a proper encoding with at least 24 unique frames per second.
Actually Xu Xin lost to Ma Te before.
EDIT* I see you have changed the title
Thank you coach. Excellent analysis to combine with your previous video on Zhang Zike against a defensive, close to the table chopper.
Xu Xin has the most incredible strokes of table tennis. Defenders give him enough time to adjust to hit the way he wants, that's deadly.
I guess, he is quick and nimble on his feet. If you watch closely, most of his points were either below the table or on the top of the table. It is extremely tough to do, if you are not nimble on your feet.
The answer is simple:
1. Too powerful fh attack
2. Good touch
Xu Xin doesn't lose to choppers because not only him but many almost all elite chinese players are master of loops and loop drives.
1. Hit the ball at 4 o'clock instead of 2 (which you do against topspin)
2. Power from the ground shots
3. Vary the pace and therefore the depth and height of the ball
4. Vary when you choose to pounce on a ball
5. Lie, lie, lie with your body language
Ma Te and Xu Xin also played in Bulgaria Open. The match was absolutely amazing to watch. I hope someday I will watch them again!
ผมชอบสไตล์การเล่นแบบXu Xinมากเลยครับ ผมเอาไปใช้บ่อยด้วย ขอบคุณที่ช่วยให้ความรู้เพิ่มครับ
3:07 i like the last line...yes u wont lise to a chopper unless he is way more consistent and smarter tgan u

Can you make a video on Xu Xin's RPB backhand attack please?

Can somebody explain to me what a loop is, please?

Dawid Garboliński Yes, however, it is more difficult to chop, and the attacker will be able to kill the next ball.
I believe Xu Xin has only lost ONCE to a chopper, Ma Te.

Why strong to defender?
1. Penhold
2. Left handed

The commentary is fabulous, wish you guys could understand mandarin.
Though, we don't.. But we definitely understand those woo, aah, in between the best points. So, we are always in sync with commentator's emotions. 😂
Kinshuk Joshi 😂😂
Hey, is there any game of two choppers? I never saw that

Enjoy. 😂
Ha ha ha.. I think the correct question should be.. Never watched a game of two male choppers..!!😂😂
@@micer5194 thank you!

Powerful spin is worst thing that can happen to defender. You know what i meant.
Genius

Xu Xin rarely lose to everybody.
This didn't age welp
Xx is not the only one who can do slow and fast
Ma Te beat Xu Xin in the chinese super league once!
Coach..

You need really fast stroke with thin contact to not give the time on the ball to spin off your bat
At the same time make sure you use proper move and it is going in
Who got better footwork xu xin or ryu seung ming?
Ryr Seung Ming!
I like this

Forehand dominant player with chinese rubber, long stroke and good footwork will have an advantage against chopper
It's actually interesting how much success Xu Xin has now that Lui Guoliang is no longer the head coach. 🤔
Winning a few world tour titles isnt really success
@@desert1987 no? I guess 90% of table tennis players are failures then by your logic.
I heard
Bor
Defendal
Taber
Prayel
Wolk
Etc....
Damn he destroyed ma te
solution for choppers:
dont chop
One time, Xu Xin lost to Joo Saehyuk by 4 to 0!
? He lost against Ma Te too in CSL but 4-0 against Joo Se Hyuk??
Xu Xin never lost to Joo, at least that is the data mentioned on table tennis reference.com
Lost to Ma Te though
Did Ma long ever lose to any defender?
Well, Xu xin doesn't lose against anyone hhhh
the fisrt reason not to loose to a choper is reading corectly the spin, without that no chance

Never lost? Wrong :P
HardeBaas never lose all time
what the fuck does that mean?
