They both can be good, they are both good, just one has less elements to show the taste. American pizza is still similar in form to Italian to some extent
@@legrus542 that's kind of a good comparison actually, cause New York pizza is tasty but it's also pretty much junk food so it's best enjoyed as a snack some times, while Neapolitan Pizza is a genuinely nice meal that doesn't leave you all greasy and on the verge of an heart attack when you eat an entire pie.
They're honestly both amazing. I've been to Naples and loved the pizza. But the honest truth is there are many pizzerias in New York with the same consistency and taste as you can find in Naples. This shouldnt be a surprise. But every pizza lover should visit Naples. I loved my time there. Authentic Italy for me. And the views are breathtaking.

Indeed! In Italy, pizzas usually can last even 24h-36h in open air with if it's not scorching hot. It's very usual from us (i'm Italian) to eat pizza even the next day if it was left. I was very surprised when he said that Joe's pizza was already molding after so little time (while it was inside a plastic bag for the majority of the trip, without being in contact with air so to initiate the oxydation process).
Its not a question of entropy. In Italy its difficult to a pizza becoming moldy after just 10 hours, but at least you have to move It to the fridge its obvious that in the air it kinda get moldy.
Up to more than twenty years ago it was Michele's. But nowadays, since the original pizzaiolo died, the quality has decreased a lot. Nowadays There are much better pizzeria in Naples and in the rest of Campania also. I'm from Naples.

Tbh as an italian i must say joe's pizza is a very good pizza, especially considering the average US take-away pizza.

I had an Italian friend in school, Wow for supper he could put it away, Everyday was a 3 course dinner at his house, Pasta with meatballs, pork chops, steak, his metabolism was fast, cause he never gained a pound. He was a good friend and his family so kind to me.😊

On a domestic basis, NYC hands down. People will toss Around Chicago deep dish and Detroit style, but NYC is the pizza capital of the U.S. That being said, I hear parts of Italy have the next level pizza as well as Italian food in general.
as someone who lives in a city that makes really good examples of many regional styles of pizza I have to say that the new York style is the one that leaves alot more to desire. now a Sicilian style pie 😍
@@lysolkills99oftherona42 NY style tends to be overused across the country. Even by chains. I love a regular slice in NYC. But a Sicilian pie is also fantastic here. Depends on my mood. But a NY Sicilian slice is very heavy. Pretty much a 2-1 ratio in terms of making me full.
