Like father like son. You can see by the brothers encouraging attitude where his son got his manners and “kindness” from. It isn’t even Josh’s fault, and it’s visible how he regrets it and it’s even taken a toll on his mental and physical health. I pray for the best for both children and their new families.

Josh might have been a shitty kid but he's still a kid who was enabled to do those things but he can still change. I’m honestly heart broken for OP why do they have to be distanced from the aunt who saved them that brother and his wretched wife and parents don’t deserve any happiness they knew it was happening and done nothing there own daughter to took a beating from her own brother and they still berated her for pressing charges and ruining his family so disgusting, they poor kids and all the pain they endured especially Lou at least there safe now but my heart goes out to OP 😢

Ops brother broke in and attempted 💀 but neighbors saves op. He was arrested but brother and sil said op was saing the kids. Their countries cps got involved and placed girl with cousin of op. Op is doing rins of classes and certifications to do better and provide better for girl. Girl is thriving with cousin (who is married and have kids and ahes doing good in a stable loving home) and cousin is planning to adopt. Everyone is in therapy. Brother and sil are divorced and there are restraining orders. Brother was rearrested for trying to 💀 sil, neither are interested in either child. The boy, who was discovered was also being abused in a different way, nor legally allowed to say, is living with op and doing better. A different cousin is going to take the biy in a different city so both kids can have a new start without interfering family. Op got a sassy cat so they aren't alone now the kids are gone. Summing it up: Kids are safe. Brother is in jail. Sil moved on. Op has sassy cat (they are very happy with their cat) still getting certifications and job seeking for stability.
No only if you have back up power for it. When OP mentioned scheduled power outs sounds like a South African thing, we call it loadshedding. It's expensive to own additional backup power supply. So if OP is from South Africa this could be the only reason to why.
while i do appreciate your extended family supporting the children and wanting to help them; there are some people who will in the end bring their problems and portray it other kids like making them turn against parents while they are the “good ones “ i know this isn’t everyone and every one does need a second chance but you can’t help someone who doesn’t want help i’m talking on personal experience we had a cousin living with us and she messed my family up 19:30
