    I insure three of my classic cars with Hagarty here in Ontario Canada. A couple of years ago my 68 Spitfire was backed into and received front end damage. Hagarty sent their old car appraiser and I had a check to repair it in less than three weeks. I think that's great service! That was the only time I have had to use my car insurance and the whole experience was good.

    Why is everyone so negative on here? I love the idea and the hard work that went into this. Don't be jealous just cause you can't afford to do this to your car. I have my 70 Hugger Orange Camaro insured at Hagerty and they have always been above board and honest with their valuations and costs. If you start watching something and negative thoughts come into your head, why waste time, just shut it off and go do something worthwhile. I love Hagerty and what it stands for. Keep up the good work.

    Very nice. Says a lot that the company is willing to invest their own money in making sure their employees understand why their customers love their cars the way they do.

    That was heartwarming, gang. Really appreciate the fact that the clowns that insure my cars also love the craft.

    Looks great, with one note though. The 325 hp 396 (L35) (with which this car is equipped) came with the black, closed snorkel, type air filter. the L34 and L78 (350 hp and 375 hp) 396's came with the open element chrome air filters.

    Last thing first, REALLY cool seeing it fire off at the end. I have a '69 Camaro myself that you guys insure and that loping sound of a good old Chevy V8 is music to my ears (mine has a rare 327 in it). First question I wanted to ask though was why exactly was it considered 'totaled'? Cost of repair exceeded value of car, sure, I get that... but what was it valued at and what was the damage? What I saw looked like fenders, and a hood. Was the frame under the front clip bent?

    I insure my 71 Camaro with HAGERTY. Thank god I've not needed to make a claim, but if I did I know this company would respect what it takes to bring a classic back to life. Our children should be able to see where we came from and thanks to HAGERTY, they give us the ability to keep the American dream alive and preserve these classics for future generations.
    Click on my name and you can see from my videos what kind of work goes into restoring one of these classic cars.
    Thanks,
    Roger

    My question is, if 150 people have been working on it, why did it take so long to build the car? Sweet car anyways!

  • @tlcbear2
    @tlcbear2 10 лет назад +6

    ok if the car was total loss then why was it rebuilt.looks like the insurance company stole the car from its owner so they could fix it up.if it was good enough for the insurance company to put money in to it should have been good enough to fix for the customer then.just another way insurance rips you off.nice the car was saved but it was saved for the wrong people.

    • @Hagerty
      @Hagerty  10 лет назад +21

      tlcbear2 The cost of the damages exceeded the value the car was insured for. The owner was given the first right of purchase/refusal. Hagerty bid on the car just like any other salvage company could have been on it at Auction. It was at this point we purchased the car. Rest assured this claim was processed like any other claim we handle. You can learn more about how Guaranteed Value works on our website or feel free to give us a call.
