Beats International - Won't Talk About It (Official Video)

- Well here's the definitive official video to Beats International's 1990 hit 'Won't Talk About It' anyway, as it hasn't appeared on YT before (1st time for you anyway!), as it went on to become their second top ten hit in the follow-up to their number-one hit 'Dub Be Good To Me' and as it was produced by ex-Housemartins stalwart Norman Cook aswell, as it did only reach no.9 in May '90.
Also Lindy Layton is on backing vocals again as she eventually did perform it on Britain's long-running flagship music show 'Top of the Pops' alongside Beats International, well shortly after this, Norman Cook's stalwarts eventually failed more top 40 hits to be considered as flops.

This type of music needs a comeback
Well, Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) was/is a rather singular talent... maybe he'll do a master class to proliferate these sensibilities.
I’ve been searching for this version since the 80’s. Always loved her vocals over the original.
I was 9 when this came out! I'm 40 now and still listen to the 90s stuff :)
i bought the original cassette of "Let Them Eat Bingo" - later also the CD-format, but was always pissed not to have this original video version, which i always remembered since the track entered top10 in UK - glad now i could order an original CD-single (new !) online a couple of weeks ago - it took me over 30 years, but now i got this track.
How can this gem not be on Spotify???? This is my jam!! Italia 90 !!! The memories
Shame, isn't it?😡
Lindy has such a pretty tone to her voice. (Crazy that this song is 31 -!!!!! -years old...)
Wow, I was 17 when this was released. Great times, great music and the entire music scene was so diverse back then 👌
Soooooo many flavors of music out back then, now everybody sounds exactly the same
Ahhhh the height of coolness back then. Fila t-shirt, BK's and one highly under-rated band. Loved them. Great tune too. Takes me back to being 14 years old and not a care in the world.
Masterpiece
I loved this tune. Summer 1990, what a great time. Italia 90, Raybans, light blue England shirt, Spike Island. World in Motion. Raving in fields.
Great memory and agreed what a time 1990!
agreed!
And I was 2
Just about summed it up for me, happy daze!
Martin Ralph totally agree, I had just turned 18. Great times
OMG, this was 1 of my favorite songs when I was little! I remember going school shopping with my mom, riding in the car and this came on the radio and I was like MOM TURN IT UP! I was jamming and hopping up and down, clapping my hands, she was cracking up lol. Good memories ;-)
I saw this the other night on Top of the pops 1990, I remembered the chorus, but had no idea who sang it - A cool song and loved Lindy Laytons voice
Top of the pops are up to 1996 now
One of my all time faves of the 90s , and their version of In the ghetto
they lived on my street in south norwood of all places when i was 7. went round to their house once there was a little studio in the living room and they gave all the kids yellow records and this was on it! NICE PEOPLE //// double Trouble !!!!
The rap by the 2 guys is so brilliant! So groovy!
It's very good isn't it? Shame it's gone forgotten by so many.
The class from 1990
Still a great tune ❤❤💯
Saw this video by chance back in the day, when I was 16. Looked for it ever since. Bought the tape for this song and Dub Be Good To Me, and I was so disappointed by the version.
Never forgot this awesome track and I finally get to hear it again 28 years later.
Thanks for the upload.
Fond memories of Friday night partying at The Palladium (in New York), then the loft before closing out with a trip to the Papaya store for two hotdogs (four if I was lucky enough to link with a female at either one of those spots ... which didn't happen all that often lol) and a medium drink before heading back home. Thanks so much for uploading this gem. Have a great one, All.
Classic song. Reminds me of first year at Varsity in 89/90
Wasn’t expecting this to be this good!
One of Norman Cook's better efforts, lovely vocals from Lindy Layton!
I found this song!!! Finally. All I could remember was the chorus. Thank you for the upload!!
Oh man that drumloop, used so many times but such a classic groove

But not nearly as jam hot :(
This is the best version; i dont like the one where the dude sings it
jayedeveraux lester noel
The dude who sings it is the chap who wrote it, Billy Bragg
@@djhatstand7312 fine, but this version was the one they played on the radio here in the US and i like it better :D
@@djhatstand7312 Is that definitely right? I've got a version where the artist is named as "Norman Cook" on 7". I was wondering if that might be Norm' singing?
LoL - Billy Bragg is the “dude”
Sweet! Tried to download from the album, but it's a different vocal. Who were the rappers?
Where can I download this
Based on a Billy Bragg b-side. Bizarre really.
Spot on, the b side to blame it on the bassline
The other song just had a really unique way of combing voic and beats/melody.
класс!!!
Oh yeah. Boogy down
Ncis.
Really? Technically this has a lot more going on
Sweet! Tried to download from the album, but it's a different vocal. Who were the rappers?
Not too bad
KK Rockwell and Little Rodney C then. But did they have a duo name?
Double Trouble
@@001REQ Yes - not to be confused with Norman Cook's production duo with D-Mob's Dancin' Danny D or the production duo that recorded with Rebel MC. Mind you, these guys were in Wild Style so must have come first!
I think, it's Double Trouble??
This is the best version; i dont like the one where the dude sings it
Oh man that drumloop, used so many times but such a classic groove
The rappers were two members of the funky four plus one more
Fatboy Slim, the girl singing and the rest...
Really? Technically this has a lot more going on
i always hated this back then.
The Guy that is trying to sing, is he the guy that sung the original version?
