SlimBoy Cook has never ever been Fat, however his basslines always were. Norman sampled this from Clash, Guns of Brixton but it does not take anything away from his genious. The SOS Band original is of course a classic, a different level and shockingly dramatic sounding even today. Right about now Funk Soul Brother, we Praise You like we should.
Incredible tune, still sounds fresh to these ears (even though it's nearly 30 years ago!)
