Omg Linda is stunning and why have I not aged as well! The memories The Nostalgia The Funk!!!!!! We were so young and so free back then... I miss wearing the gear and going out with my friends... I still have the records!! Linda Layton you are an ICON!!💯💝❤️🔥❣️
Thank you for being an inspiration back in 1991. The music then was very different to what it is now, but from a small fishing village near Glasgow it was new, fresh, amazing, and exciting.
One of the few records I bought back then. I thought that Lindy was so nice and the tune so good. An awesome mix. I still think back fondly of the song to this day, without the need of a record player, playing it back in my head. Lol. It's such a catchy tune. Totally awesome! Thank you!! 🙂👍
I can`t belive how "old" she is...she was sooo cute...what went wrong? did she use drugs? phenomenal voice, supercute girl nex door, but haven`t seen her for a while and I`m shocked...
God I hated all this sh-t. The countless great tunes wasted on the altar of hip hop or whatever you like was desecration. Mix after mix after mix till all you had was porridge. And someone made some money. Layton even fuc-ed up her own songs so at least there was some justice there I suppose. I bought the EPs of some of these when they first came out, so before anyone had had the chance to fu-k them up, and they are still a joy to behold. If you listen very very carefully you can just about hear talented people playing musical instruments and singing. Remarkable really. Never was there a more wantonly destructive time in British music.
More than "just". It follows The KLF's manual, uses (uncleared) samples from all the places, amalgamates them into something that sounds familiar still sounds "new"(ish), so it sticks in peoples' heads and becomes a hit single.
I had a bit of a crush on Lindy Layton back when I was 18 and I have one all over again now at 51! 😅
What a stunner Lindy is. Love to here more interviews with Lindy. :)
Still fresh today!

LOVED LOVED LOVED her version of Silly Games
Wow, I never knew she was only 17 at the time. That's brilliant!
What a tune...
Cover. The bassline is from
The Clash
@@photogramistic I was not aware of that, thanks. The Clash have been influential in the British music scene in particular
I love how she dances
Yeah, awaesome, I bought this album on vinyl back in the day.
This is fantastic. Thanks for posting! 👏👊👍😊🎼🎸🎶🗣🎤
You notice that people always have nice things to say about Sinead O'Connor
Everyone knows Fatboy Slim but Lindy made one of the dopest big beat records with Hardknox! The best thing she ever did imo.
Beck pinched that drum sound for 'Loser' a few years later.
Wow….She’s 51 years old here, but looks 29 😂
Love this song, but love The Clash's Guns of Brixton even more :-D
They're both on my rotation. One is upbeat, the other not so, but both great tracks.
now i want a cheesburger

The worst take i have heard in quite a while 😂
This lady looks like a millennial, not like Gen X lol ❤ 😂
Fatboy slim?
yep. he was in the housemartins back in '86. He had at least 4 different aliases before he started the fatboy slim project.
Fatboy slim is a DJ who plays record's 😂❤
@@davidattwell2574 yes. Norman Cook is Fatboy Slim
This is just a COVER!
