Don't run a escort product with another detector.and when you start a run turn detector off and then on and wait for the time it needs to forget it's been running near a detector. R3 is nice but I much prefer the NetRadar dsp integrated with the ALP for a clean custom install and the option for a rear antenna with arrows. All around bad ass setup. The max 360 isn’t a bad detector by any means though. Had a max 360c for a while until I got the alp with NetRadar and it served me well. It got relegated to wife car duty and she loves it as well.
Why do you didn’t you have the max 360 in Highway mode that would been a fair comparison usually the escorts become very sensitive in Highway mode because that’s the mode that i have it in mine try to update the video so we can see the outcome thanks for the efforts of comparing them
Jose Velez the test was done on all settings for all detectors and the results were always the same. The 360 is a brick. The detection range is inferior to the R3 and DSP. It’s just the way it is. Jorge Lopez one of the best features on a detector is GPS. 9500 was the first.On k band and x band when going 25 mph or less it starts to filter x and k automatically. That's where auto comes in.I have a 9500ix as well now that detector seems to filter everthing out a very slow speeds.It will make a double beep and the screen will indicate the signal but its almost silent especially when stopped.I can use my max with k band signals in the city and when you have stopped that's when you notice that almost all x and k band is filtered out. I have both detectors and always use auto.On my R1 I don't have GPS but on city mode I lose 90 percent of k band sensitivity. And I'm still surprised I get k band falses.I live in NC ,I have not got a k band cop in a year so I have turned k band off most of the time

I purchased the R3 and after passing cops 3 different times without it is making a peep I returned it pissed off. My 360 was stolen with my car and i can't tell you how much more i miss the 360 than the mercedes and it only had 50kmiles. What was i doing wrong it was set to default.

Louis Soria I had a V1 and tested it against the rest but the results were terrible. I didn’t want to upset any valentine users so I left it out. The main purpose of this video was the show how much further range the R3 and DSP have over mainstream RD’s and that definitely includes the V1.

I almost bought an r1 for California but I dont like the guessing game and arrows keep me secure 100% of the time. Hasn't let me down but all comes down to preference, terrain etcc. Now R7 is gonna be a game changer hopefully
get a r3 for the front windshield and a R1 for the rear windshield (R1 on sale this weekend for 200 bucks) and you get the best of both worlds and RDD immunity

Philip the R3 is by far the best windshield mounted detector right now. It has the furthest detection and the best Kband filter. The R3 also has a GOS for manual lockouts. The 360 meh......

The 360 is in auto mode, shouldn't it be in highway mode just like the r3 for a more fair comparison?

I hate to say I'm not impressed with the R3. Looking at these videos, I think there's something wrong with it; I bought it refurbished.
