Been using necrotic build for a few days now and all I can say is this is probably the most tankiest build for a Mage. Every time my HP dips it gets refilled as quick as I lost it
That’s why I wish they would give new game plus. Cause these great builds are mostly last couple missions. Cause it takes that long to get all skills and gear so can’t really enjoy it BUT, if they gave new game plus then maybe we could actually enjoy said builds
Just want to say thank you for this build guide. I was not finding my style to play a mage as then came across your build and damn I love my mage now and I'm not even in the 20s yet where it really takes off. I hope you do similar builds for rogue and warrior 😊 Great job!
Pretty sure you're totally correct here. Swapping mana costs for hp costs, leech, and the auto crit ring are the best build overall as its so much easier to regen hp than regen mana while spamming auto crit abilities. This also reduces the usefulness of shadow dragon bonus. This build works with death caller and also Spellblade with blast cost reduction and hp regen on arcane bomb.
i cannot wait for you to get onto rogue builds!! i’m about to finish my warrior character, missed a couple of achievements this time around so i’m gonna do a mage playthrough to pick them up using this build. definitely wanna try out the rogue, so i’m hoping the stars align when i’m done with mage hahaha
Damn. I thought my build was doing good damage with it's constant 2k crits on abilities at level 30, but that staff does the same damage but way faster.
[Spoiler Alert] I just finished the game with this build. It was easy. Almost too easy. I never did get all of the runes used here, but the only one I needed was Hunger. I didn't even use the one that is given at the end to help kill Elgar'nan. As stated in the vid, you don't really even need your companions near the end, you are so powerful you can deal with them by yourself. Life steal is fantastic! I stopped using companions that can heal after adopting this guide. Thank you for an excellent build guide. BTW, you forgot to tell us which weapon Darvin is using. :)
How did you get so much gear and health?? I tried my ass off to get gear and collectibles but some stuff you have, I dont. I have a shit ton of stuff, I guess I just missed some. I’ll have to try even harder this time I guess
if having trouble with amulet just use the "all-mother's copse" it is stupidly easy to get and gives you the mana except when blast abilities crit. Obviously this means you have to use blast abilities, but it isn't too difficult a switch. (I believe the necro tree has blast abilities I could be wrong though) Obviously the maw ring and armor are kept.
Oh no, i totally missed it, yeah. For spells, its 2m radius on lightning spell, and for necrotics its 25% crit dmg, and 50% dmg Davrin, feel free to so whatever, i use him mostly to pull agro.
I prefer mask for +50% crit dmg to low health+amulet that makes any enemy considered as a low health unit. Sadly this is so overpowered that it's not even funny... Also the highest dmg output orb r probably mage's gambit since u can revert 15%fire and lightning into necrotic. Oh btw, the armor with dmg boost for every advantage is probably the strongest robe in the game.
I just wondering since all your builds are broken, busted or a build I need 😉, which mage build was the most fun for you? This one? I had a lot of fun with your archer build.
Can't remember 100%. But its not "secret" and You can buy it from Necropolis shop or from "secret" shop in dock town when it unlocks (story progression will do it)
wonder if they will patch it lol. I mean infinite casting of the ranged staff ability. It doesn't even consume the health because you leach it back instantly.
I am lvl 21 where can i get the gear and staff at that lvl and which vendors lvl up to upgrade gear? My next main quest is finding the necromancer companion, do i need the necro companion for finding the staff? I found the researchers coat but i need to upgrade an/or several dudes to be able to upgrade it further, i can now upgrade to lvl 3 only, I feel that i dont understand merchants and where to find gear and from which lvls/acts to find the gear. Can you provide insight?
@@TheSpudKing Man, I'm getting my ass handed to me at lvl31 by darkspawn without that rune. xd I do 0 damage and my healing isn't enough, I have to build Emmrich as a potion dispenser. Fights take ridiculously long, especially since I'm on nightmare. How did you make this build work before you had all your stuff?
What these losers who are jumping on the youtube bandwagon do not tell you that NECROTIC damage is the most useless type of damage in the game because many enemies outright resist the damage and you will be doing 10-11 dmg to enemies resistant to necrotic which will make your game slow as fck if you are playing on nightmare.
@TheSpudKing you are not getting that until way late into the game the most important parts of the game would be impossible to play. I tried it and couldn't even beat a pack of darkspawn i had to drag the fight out for 5 minutes instead of busting everything up with 2 lighting skills...
@@ANCIENTWARRI0R If my opinion of this game and it's woke trans/non-binary theme bothers you, you are the snowflake. And I'm not butthurt either. I think it's disgusting. Are you butt hurt, rainbow rider?

You are legendary my bro
Maybe i missed it: What enchantments do you use for the spells? And what weapon and ench for Davrin? Thanks for helping and really great builds!

Lucanis with crowkeeper equipped tripples leech... For those of us not yet doing 10k ranged damage

sorry if i missed but what do you with necrotic resistent enemies?
Maybe use a rune that your weapons make fire damage for 20 seconds...

There it is
Where did you get that staff from? Its so pretty i want one for my rook lol

How do you get the staff? Because I’m looking it up and for some reason the only guides for finding Uniques are for warrior Uniques

@ the bargain?
I havent seen a nightmare difficulty build yet just lower difficulty which doesnt make the build broken at all
i liked that the character already looks like a potato from the start

How this build works on necro resistent enemies at lower levels like lv 20 on nightmare. They sponge dmg like crazy.
Thank you

Why tempest and corrupted ground instead of meteor and ice blast?
Where did you find the Hunger rune? Need some more leech before lvl 40
Dunno, its hard to track xD also o guess they kinda random
