Lucky Ghost, it's refreshing to see someone providing guidance for the game instead of harshly criticizing it for its real-life aspects that many people dislike so much. Myself, I enjoy the game it gives me something to play. Is the game perfect course not but I have seen far worse.
Ended up trying this build out around level 27. Even without all the gear ya had(like ya mentioned it didn't need) it plays amazingly well. Was a nice switch for me from spellblade, being much able to control everything, especially the enemies with shields. Thanks for the guide man.
Specializations unlock at 20, not 30. The ends of the specialization trees (starting with the hexagonal node on each side) unlock at 30 and 40 - you choose one side of the tree, and it becomes an exclusive branch until level 40.
May I ask what you have as your enchants on your abilities? I've been on the fence about this build but I said F-IT and I switched everything over it looks so fun.
i played spellblade with triple electric skills and shock also applies burn + crits do bleed with lucario in team, which was plenty of dot fun, but i must say this build is even cooler (ha) and its just satisfying to soo all enemies stand there frozen while the big orb just kills them all with huge damage thanks for this!
And I just want to say. Your videos are ALWAYS done with perfection. I never have to worry about you not having chapters and time stamps. It’s the little things. You also go into details most other build creators don’t. Their version of giving a build is re-reading the existing tool tips and you can tell it’s mostly theorycrafting, not personal builds with video and supporting details like you do. One specific example, is companions. I have watched many build videos that completely neglect to discuss good companion pairings. Yet, with your videos you have that specifically time stamped and I can go right to it when making companion decisions. Thanks again for what you do!
That giant orb is great for control and damage. I just wish the area was upgraded without the orb taking up half the screen. It just obscures everything. I would prefer it being a 3rd as big but same area effect.
Thanks so much for the build! I’m level 20 now and was really struggling with a direction to go for Evoker. Any chance you could recommend optimal abilities for Harding and Davrin? I had been using Lucanis and Davrin but don’t mind switching.
Between our penetration and all of our damage multipliers it was never the slightest problem for me. Our light attacks from our staff, once we've got that up and running make quick work of anything that isn't instantly deleted by our abilities. Hope that helps!
@@LuckyGhost Thank you for your answer. I think I have slight problems with resistances, because I am on nightmare difficulty and do not have really good gear yet.
Love this build! Thank you! Just hit level 11 and getting it put together. Did you find raising affinity with one merchant / faction helped more than others? For getting your gear? Trying to decide if I give all my valuables to the veil jumpers. I see they have a few items on the list.
Please explain: 1) Do character have X% crit chance? If so how do I increase crit chance? 2) What is the most noob friendly way to score a crit? 3) Do you auto hit weak points?
Awesome, I love ice mage builds in games, and the space visual theme is really gorgeous. Side-note, I can't wait for the outrage tourists to get bored and move on...
I miss the days when people just played the games they liked rather than trying to make sure no one played the games they didn't like lol. It's a weird place we are in
@LuckyGhost Right? Currently all discussion of the game's merits and flaws as a game are getting buried under this stupid culture war... So much of the criticism is in the worst possible faith.
Great vid man! I'm intrigued to see if a Lightning + Staff build is possible? It seems the Lightning specialisation focuses mainly on the orb and dagger so idk if it would be viable.
Like the video, but is it only me being angry that we have to spam 4 skills all the time? It becomes boring and repetitive after first few hours of the game. After level 27 I gave up on this game.
Thank you, great build to work towards!! What companions do you use? I’m thinking another mage as a healer and a warrior as a tank who can trigger Weakened, but not 100% sure yet.
@@LuckyGhostwhat I mean is that is a good build to kill trash mobs but vs a boss or a high cold res monster is completely useless because they dont get frozen and they just run all the time evading your skills I didnt pretend to offend. I would like to play this evoker build but I find it hard to kill dragons and demon bosses with it. Melee mage is way more op And boy you are telling me to get good when you are playing a build that is just spamming habilities xd Im playing on the hardest difficulty and Im not having any problem.
@@Raydr62 Yup. 78% is pretty good. Actually trash games get 40% like Starfield or 60% like D4. This game isn't that great but it's not as horrific as comment sections are making it out to be according to those who actually played it.
The game is unremarkable. There is no sense of freedom to either be "good" or "evil". The game directs you on ideological language use and encourages you to use polite language. Forgettable characters with little or no facial expressions. The story is forgettable, with no deeply moving narratives. It tries to teach and impose a direction on the player, rather than allowing the player to explore the world, to learn, stumble, and fail. Cut scenes happen in quick succession, letting me believe I'm in a movie. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is not nearly as profound and enigmatic as Dragon Age origins. It shall soon be forgotten. If you enjoy it, I wish you all the best.
Completely agree Chris. This game isn't Dragon Age. Every good developer left the company and now we're left with the DEI hired Sweet Baby Inc devs. Why couldn't they just keep woke and modern bs away from this game.
I have had to play some pretty rough games in my years as a creator, this wasn't one. Had a genuinely good time with it, even if it wasn't exactly like previous DA entries

This build reminds me of the Rift mage build I was using in Inquisition. Complete battlefield control.

Switched to this build yesterday at level 21 and having so much more fun with it. Thank you!
Heck yeah! Glad it’s working for you!

I thought at first that evoker is not good. But my goodness it is sooooo good!

no offense but for me personally I love bigger and flashy skills, hence I love playing as mage class :D
I tried this build and it’s honestly so much fun and makes the game easy mode.
Where do I find that enlighted helmet? Is it a drop or vendor buy?
What do you think about neve? I think she get some gear and passives later that boost your cold damage?
She's great and yeah that could work well!
Thanks so much for the build! I’m level 20 now and was really struggling with a direction to go for Evoker. Any chance you could recommend optimal abilities for Harding and Davrin? I had been using Lucanis and Davrin but don’t mind switching.
I primarily used harding for her heal. And Davrin for his detonate on cooldown. Everything beyond that was icing on the cake
Great video! I'm excited to check out the game and the ice mage seems like a fun build!
Its really fun! Hope you enjoy it!
I have a question, how do you deal with ice-resistant enemies? Or staff attacks compensate?
Between our penetration and all of our damage multipliers it was never the slightest problem for me. Our light attacks from our staff, once we've got that up and running make quick work of anything that isn't instantly deleted by our abilities. Hope that helps!

You'll definitely max them all out before it's done so raise em up when you see an item you want for the build so you can snag it :))
@LuckyGhost Will do! Thank you!!
I'm having a problem with Frost Nova. It always says out of range. I've never been able to use it. What am I doing wrong? I'm on Xbox Series X.
Please explain:
1) Do character have X% crit chance? If so how do I increase crit chance?
2) What is the most noob friendly way to score a crit?
3) Do you auto hit weak points?
Character don't have any base crit chance, and you can press G on the skill to check the requirement to deal crit damage
@趙紹安-c3p thank you. 1 more: does FINAL hit (combo chain) auto crit? Like staff attack X,X,X and boom crit?

were abouts do you buy the lower gear to upgrade it?
Which dagger runes are you using for this build? Both for the passives and for the active.
不知道冰系BD打BOSS的伤害怎么样,希望不要刮痧,因为我非常喜欢那个宇宙星球的技能
is there a written guide somewhere?
where drop the weapon?

where can you get veilseeker staff?
Ngl this looks legit af 😎

I could have sworn that somewhere there was a "turn chilled into frozen" ability somewhere but now that I'm looking for it I can't find it.
I've seen that somewhere, too. Maybe an item effect?
Great video!!
Great video, won’t be playing for a while, but saving to builds playlist
Amazing video
Thank you so much!
Where did u find veil seekers?
love this build it's exactly what i wanted
why people dislike ?
In this game can I build a fire mage?
Yes!
the game is easy as hell to begin with, going min/max with builds will just make it even easier
the game just came out. how do you know that?
Do you play on nightmare difficulty or easy?
100% playing it on easy

It's in the frost side :))
@@LuckyGhost the best with the orb and sword are down in the electric spellblade one :D

Pretty Sure Dantic just ripped off your build
What’s the replay value ?
Pretty solid. There is a really cool ending you can get if you're a completionist! Seeing the other ones while trying new builds would be fun
Plus 1 for using behooves.
And when an enemy resists ice damage? Your build is useless :/
I 100% the game, the build has penetration. Nothing resists us. Perhaps it's wise to get better at the game before trying to judge others builds 😉
